Welcome to Grozny, the capital of Chechnya (Chechen Republic). The Chechen Republic is a Muslim majority autonomous republic in the North Caucasus region of Russia. Unfortunately it is better known for the conflicts of the 1990's and early 2000's, which earnt Gronzy the title of 'the most destroyed city on earth'. Despite the stigma, and the Foreign Office warnings, the Chechnya of today is much changed from the one that hit the headlines a couple of decades back. We went in to get a look at real life in Chechnya and find out what Russia's most infamous republic is really like.

Elbrus: Europe's Highest Mountain Climb | Caucasus Road Trip in Russia
Welcome to Elbrus Mount! In this episode of the film about my road trip to the Caucasus, we will make a very difficult, winter climb to the highest mountain in Europe - the two-headed giant Elbrus.
Elbrus is the highest mountain in Russia, located on the border of the republics of Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia. The mountain's characteristic snow-covered two-headed peaks are the trademark of the North Caucasus. Dazzling Elbrus is also the highest peak in Europe.
The east summit of the mountain is 5,621 meters high, and the west summit is 5,642 meters high; between them lies a saddle, which is 300 meters lower than the summits. The white cover of Mount Elbrus consists of over 80 glaciers, the largest of which are Terskol, Bolshoi Azau and Irik. The glaciers begin at a height of 3,500 meters, and their area is 145 km². Huge ice masses give rise to the Kuban, Malka, Baksan rivers and Terek tributaries.

We Drove to the Russian Border (on Georgia's Most Scary Road) EXTREME Winter Vanlife - Caucasus ????????
Join us on an extreme winter van journey along the dangerous Georgian Military Road into the Greater Caucasus Mountains ????????
In this episode of our van travel series we begin with a snowy winter camp spot in the Pankisi Valley where we demonstrate our camper van wood burner set up, and the challenges of travelling in a van in the winter. We give you a brief history of the Pankisi Valley with some beautiful drone videography, before crossing a snowy mountain pass.
We drive the dangerous Georgian Military Road to reach Kazbegi in the Greater Caucasus Mountains, stopping off at the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument at Gudauri and getting stuck on the 2395m high Jvari Pass along the way. When we reach Stepantsminda we go out for traditional Georgian food including lobio, ajapsandali and shotis puri.
Unfortunately the extreme -22ºC overnight temperature causes our gelled diesel in our van, and causes us van problems at high altitude. Fortunately we mange to repair it ourselves, and embark on a snowy tour of the Sno Valley Giant Stone Head Sculptures, Truso Valley, Terek Valley, Pansheti Towers, Gergeti Trinity Church, Sioni Basilica, Daryal Gorge and Daryal Monastery. We end our journey at the Georgia-Russia border, on the frontier with Ingushetia, the furthest North-East point we can reach in our van.

Привет! Я прожил в Риме 5 последних месяцев. Хочу поделиться с вами очевидными и не очень достопримечательностями Рима, которые люблю лично я.
Здесь будут и популярные, классические места, например: Колизей, Витториано, Древнеримский Форум, Испанская лестница, фонтан Треви итд. Так и места для местных (на сколько это возможно в таком популярном городе Италии), например район Трастевере – гастрономическая столица Рима по моему мнению.
Побывав в Риме 1 раз – ты уже не остаешься равнодушным к Вечному Городу. Последний раз я в нем был 10 лет и не было ни одного месяца, чтобы не вспоминал про него!
В видео будет с десяток разных смотровых: на холмах, церквях. в парках и дворцах.
Центр Рима и достопримечательности – это синонимы. Не возможно пройти и 500 метров в любую сторону, чтобы не наткнуться на очередную известную базилику, парк или площадь.
В ролике будет большинство из семи холмов Рима, на которых он стоит: Авентин, Виминал, Капитолий, Квиринал, Палатин, Целий, Эсквилин.
Надеюсь, что после просмотра этого ролика у тебя будет понимание куда стоит сходить в первую очередь.

Beautiful City - Vladikavkaz 1/Heart of Caucasus
Vladikavkaz is the capital city of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the republic at the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains, situated on the Terek River. Population: 311,693 . Vladikavkaz is one of the most populous cities in the North Caucasus.
The city is an industrial and transportation centre. Manufactured products include processed zinc and lead, machinery, chemicals, clothing and food products.
In 1784, a tower was founded on the site of the Ossetian village Dzaug on the right bank of the river Terek, Russian troops built the Vladikavkaz fortress, which had the purpose of serving as an outpost for the routes of communication between Russia and Georgia. The Georgian Military Highway, crossing the mountains, was constructed in 1799 to link the city with Georgia to the south, and in 1875 a railway was built to connect it to Rostov-on-Don and Baku in Azerbaijan. Vladikavkaz has become an important industrial centre for the region, with smelting, refining, chemicals and manufacturing industries.
The city is served by the bus network (marshrutkas). There are also tram (since 1904) and trolleybus (since 1977) networks, plus the main Vladikavkaz railway station.
The city is served by Beslan Airport located about 9 kilometres from the city.
The Georgian Military Road, which is a part of European route E117, starts in Vladikavkaz and it connects the city with the South Caucasus.

Kazbegi is located near the Russian- Georgian border in the region of Mtskheta-Mtianeti in the North-East of Georgia. The town lies in the Valley of the Terek river and is surrounded by the mountains of the Greater Caucasus. It is known for the gorgeous natural scenery inside the Kazbegi National Park and is a hub for mountaineers, hikers, and weekend tourists who want to enjoy some fresh air.
The Gergeti Trinity Church was built in the 14th century by an unknown architect, and is the only cross-cupola church in Khevi province. The separate belltower dates from the same period as the church itself, but built somewhat later. Its isolated location on top of a steep mountain surrounded by the vastness of nature has made it a symbol for Georgia. The 18th century Georgian author Vakhushti Batonishvili wrote that in times of danger, precious relics from Mtskheta, including Saint Nino's Cross were brought here for safekeeping. During the Soviet era, all religious services were prohibited, but the church remained a popular tourist destination. The church is now an active establishment of the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Church.
The church is a popular waypoint for trekkers in the area, and can be reached by a steep 1.5 hour climb up the mountain.

We had a super fun 48 hours in Budapest, taking a tour of our favourite spots and discovering some new ones. Our visit was overlapping with Giro d'Italia so the celebrations in Budapest were in full swing.
We started at the Buda Castle District, visited the National Gallery and its panorama point, walked on the Fishermans Bastion to enjoy the incredible views of the city before making our way into the Ruin Pubs Budapest is known for.
The next day, it was time to enjoy the thermal baths in Gellert. This vlog is packed with info about the things to do and see in Budapest.
