Transportation in Osaka, Japan:
Now a quick note on transportation in Osaka (大阪市). When it comes to getting around the city, subways and trains are your best bet.
We spent our first few days buying one-way tickets and day passes, which in retrospect was a bit of a headache. The easiest thing to do is to get a prepaid card where you can load money as needed.
Osaka’s version of this card is called Icoca, but you can also use Pasmo and Suica in the city.

Tokyo is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Japan having many best places in Tokyo. Formerly known as Edo, it was a small fishing village that became the center of Tokugawa Ieyasu’s government in the 16th century. In 1868 it became the official capital of Japan and renamed as Tokyo having famous places in Tokyo, and since then it has been rebuilt after being hit by disasters as well as devastated by war. In 1964 the summer Olympics were held in Tokyo best places, and in 2020 the Olympics are coming back once again to one of the greatest and most prominent cities in the world. By the late 1970s, the metropolitan area population reached eleven million, and today nearly forty million people live here.
As Tokyo famous places has such a long history and covers a lot of ground, it means that there is a huge amount to see and do – but as best places in Tokyo is so well connected even if you only have one day in this city, because of a layover or a connecting flight, you can really pack in a lot. To help you even more, you can get a Tokyo beautiful places 1-Day Ticket, which allows unlimited use of all the subway lines and JR lines for just 1,590 yen, or a Suica or PASMO card, which can be recharged and enable easy use of the subway.
If you are staying longer or visiting again, then the possibilities are almost unlimited: best places in Tokyo Disneyland can take a whole day or two days, there are many recommended area tours such as going to Yokohama, or spend your time walking around and see what you can discover!

On my New Year's journey to Tohoku, I had the opportunity to visit Yamagata and made a stop in Tendo. The decision to stay in Tendo was primarily due to the availability of affordable accommodation in the area. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Tendo is actually renowned for its shogi game pieces production, which was evident from the numerous shogi marks and figures scattered throughout the city.
As I explored the city, I found myself walking around and taking in the sights and sounds of Tendo. One of the highlights of my visit was the Tendo Park, which provided a perfect vantage point for aerial views of the city. I used my drone to capture some stunning footage and gain a unique perspective of Tendo from above. Overall, my time in Tendo was memorable and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Tohoku region.
