✨Tips:
Christmas Markets in Germany are generally free to visit and wander around.
You pay a deposit, or Pfand, for your mug and you can get it refilled throughout the market. Each market has its own mug, often printed with the year and a festive design
The majority of Christmas Markets across Europe only accept cash. The currency used in Germany is the Euro (€). Even stalls that accept card will often have a minimum card payment, and so it's better to take cash, just to be on the safe side.

????Leipzig
The Kleinert Bakery is a short walk from Market Square and provides baking classes for delights like the Leipzig Lerchen.

????Berlin
Pro tip: take the bus 100. Its route takes you passed many major attractions, sometimes stopping right near the attraction, sometimes requiring you to get out and walk a little ways to get there.

????Dresden
Dresden’s public transport network is comprehensive, reasonably priced, and accessible with a seamless network of trams, S-Bahn trains and buses getting you from A to B every 10 minutes during daytime. Tickets are available at many stops, on board the trams and S-Bahn trains or via the DVB mobile app. The latter also provides timetables, real-time departures, disruption reports and an interactive map.

????Cologne
Other markets to check out: Nikolausdorf, or Nicholas Village, on Rudolfplatz near the trendy Belgian Quarter where you’ll encounter cozy village lanes, charming half-timbered houses, and hot drinks served in cups shaped like Santa’s boots.

A Tour of Hitler Eagle's Nest - Kehlsteinhaus in Berchtesgaden, Germany

This is the Kehlsteinhaus (known as the Eagle's Nest). It is a Nazi-constructed building at the summit of the Kehlstein located near the town of Berchtesgaden, Germany. It was used exclusively by members of the Nazi Party for government and social meetings. The site is seasonally open as a restaurant and tourist site from May to October.

You can take bus# 838 from Berchtesgaden Hauptbahnhof to Dokumentationszentrum Obersalzberg bus stop and then buy a ticket at the ticket office to take a special bus to go up to the Eagle's Nest tunnel where you have to walk through the tunnel to the reach the elevator that will take you up to the summit.

Berchtesgaden is just a 50-minute bus ride from Salzburg, Austria. A visit to the Kehlsteinhaus (The Eagle's Nest) can be done as a day trip from Salzburg, but it is highly recommended that you stay at least a few days in Berchtesgaden to explore the wonders of Berchtesgaden National Park and other gorgeous sites nearby.

Laufen Germany (Sightseeing,What to do,What to see)

Laufen is a town on the southeastern border of Bavaria, Germany with Austria. It was first mentioned in a deed of 748. The rapids that gave the town the name (Laufen = rapid running waters) were also responsible for the town's wealth from the salt trade. Small boats that transported the extremely valuable cargo from the rapids north of Salzburg were reloaded at Laufen to larger boats by privilege of the Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg. When the independent principality was finally divided in 1816 between the Bavarian kingdom and the Habsburg Empire in the wake of the Napoleonic Wars, the town was split into a Bavarian part carrying the name of Laufen and into an Austrian town (the former Laufen suburbs on the right hand side of the river) by the name of Oberndorf. With the building of railways by the middle of the 19th century the transport of salt on the river Salzach came to an end, taking away the former source of wealth. A number of floods devastated both towns by the end of the century. The flood of 1899 destroyed the old bridge. A new iron bridge was built in a safer place up the river and opened jointly by the King of Bavaria and the Austrian Emperor in 1903.

Berchtesgaden A Picturesque Bavarian Town in Germany 8K

Berchtesgaden is a picturesque Bavarian town located in the Alps, very close to the Austrian border. It was always a favored mountainous retreat among the Bavarian royalty but achieved sudden fame when Adolf Hitler chose the town for his summer home in early 1930s.

Thus began, what I would like to call, Berchtesgaden’s tryst with history – its rise and fall from power. What was once a mountain resort turned into an important headquarter for the Nazi regime. Later, it was severely bombed in 1945.

Today, Berchtesgaden is an important stop on every history addict’s German itinerary. However, there are several other amazing things to do in Berchtesgaden that are not just WW II such as taking a salt mine tour, exploring crystal clear alpine lakes, and checking out some beautiful Bavarian palaces and museums.
