Сегодня мы вместе с Вами отправляемся на 100 км на юг от Москвы, на реку Ока, в старинный русский городок - Таруса!

Пожалуй, нигде поблизости от Москвы не было мест таких типично и трогательно русских по своему пейзажу. В течение многих лет Таруса была как бы заповедником этого удивительного по своей лирической силе, разнообразию и мягкости ландшафта. Недаром ещё с конца XIX века Таруса стала городом художников, своего рода нашим отечественным Барбизоном. Здесь жили Поленов и тончайший художник Борисов-Мусатов, здесь живут Крымов, Ватагин и многие наши художники. Сюда каждое лето приезжает на практику молодёжь из московских художественных институтов. За художниками потянулись писатели и учёные, и Таруса сделалась своего рода творческой лабораторией и приютом для людей искусства и науки - писал Константин Георгиевич Паустовский.
«Подъезжаешь к Тарусе на пароходе или с тульского берега — хоть город, как на ладошке, а его почти не видно из-за садовой зелени, только маяками видны собор и церковь на Воскресенской горке. А весной, когда цветут яблони, Таруса красуется, как невеста в подвенечном платье… А луга какие заливные по Оке и по Таруске, какие травы и цветы — их не везде в средней полосе встретишь. Ока течёт с юга и приносит к нам и аспарагус, и энотерум, шалфей, и ломонос, и редкостный кирказон и орхидеи. На окские заливные луга ботаники приезжают собирать эти редкие растения» - писал русский художник Василий Алексеевич Ватагин.
Таруса – старинный русский город, административный центр Тарусского района Калужской области. Город расположен у впадения реки Таруса (Таруска) в реку Ока, в 36 км от Серпухова, в 70 км от Калуги. Город имеет статус природно-архитектурного заповедника, внесен в перечень исторических городов России.
Годом основания Тарусы считают 1246 год, в связи с первым упоминанием города (тогда Торуса) в исторических документах. За все время своего существования Таруса была и центром удельного княжества, и центром собственного княжества, а с конца 14 века входила в состав Великого княжества Московского...

The ancient town of Tarusa is located on high ground at the confluence of the Tarusa and Oka Rivers, 70 km from Kaluga.
There is no railway, and therefore the town was less susceptible to the passage of time and industrialisation. Most of the buildings are one- and two-story houses located on their own plots of land.
The Russian Soviet writer, Konstantin G. Paustovsky wrote of the town:
I live in one small town on the Oka. It is so small that all its streets go either to the river with its smooth and solemn bends, or to the fields where the wind shakes bread, or in the woods, where spring is in full bloom between the birches and the cherry pines ...
First mention of the settlement was in 1246....and was under the influence of Lithuania by the early 15th century. However in 1508, after a long struggle, the Lithuanian prince Sigismund was forced to abandon his claims to Tarusa and other settlements around Kaluga.
By the beginning of the XIX century Tarusa had about 600 inhabitants, there were 70 houses, two churches and one small brick factory, where only 10 people worked!
Paustovsky continues .... Perhaps nowhere near Moscow was not such typically and touchingly Russian in its landscape. For many years, Tarusa has been a kind of reserve for lyrical strength, diversity and softness of the landscape. No wonder since the end of the XIX century Tarusa became a town of artists... .....Here every summer comes young people from Moscow's art institutes. Writers and scientists reached for the artists, and Tarusa became a kind of creative laboratory and a shelter for people of art and science......

The 10 best things to do in Antalya, Turkey include:
10. The Upper Düden Falls. These waterfalls are an oasis of peace and nature located in the bustling city of Antalya.
9. The Tünek Tepe hike. The trail is located right on the outskirts of the city and is about 7km out-and-back. The top of the trail offers a birds-eye view of Antalya as well as the beautiful blue waters and mountains around.

8. The Lower Düden Falls. These waterfalls are in a different location than the Upper Düden Falls, but both are part of the same underground river. The water drops about 40m into the sea, creating an impressive sight.
7. The 7th best thing to do in Antalya is to watch the sunset. With its year-round good weather, Antalya is the perfect place to see the sun go down. Our favorite spots are the Old Town Harbour and Atatürk Park.
6. The ancient city of Aspendos, which is one of the best-preserved Roman theatre in the Mediterranean. There is an impressive old theatre, which is still in use today. You’ll also find ancient ruins of the city, such as an arena, basilica, aqueducts, temples and streets.
5. The Kursunlu waterfall ranks number 5 in Antalya because of its unique color and lush nature around it. It is located about 22km to the north of Antalya, but it feels much further from the city. The area consists of waterfalls connecting 7 ponds and a backdrop of lush pine trees.
4. The fourth best thing to do in Antalya is to visit the ancient city of Perge. Here, you can see the remains of the city, such as the column lined streets, the necropolis, Roman baths, and Greek and Roman gates.
3. Konyaalti Beach. It's one of the two main beaches of Antalya and located on the western side of the city. The beach itself is made of pebbles instead of sand, with a beach park and numerous bars, cafes, and hotels right beside it. Konyaalti Beach is the perfect place to cool off on a hot summer day.
2. The Old Town (Kaleici). This is Antalya’s most picturesque place. You’ll find narrow cobblestone streets, traditional houses, and a charming harbour. But besides that, it’s also the historic heart of Antalya. The best way to learn about the history of the Old Town and other things to do is to join a free walking tour.

OLYMPOS NATIONAL PARK, TURKEY | 6 Best Things to Do in Olympos National Park
Olympos National Park lies to the west of Antalya and to the southeast of Kumluca. It stretches for about 90 km (56 mi) and is defined by the Taurus Mountains. This rugged landscape makes for mesmerizing canyons and tons of outdoor activities. But on top of that you can also find a handful of interesting ancient cities, beautiful beaches and a rich biodiversity here. In this video we will highlight 6 of the best things to do in the Olympos National Park:
6. Phaselis Ruins
The sixth best thing to do in Olympos National Park is to visit the Phaselis Ruins. This ancient city can be found along the coast, about 15 minutes from the resort town of Kemer. It was once an important Mediterranean trading city thanks to its strategic geographical location.
5. Çıralı
Çıralı is one of the most laid-back and natural beaches in Olympos National Park. It’s a place where you can enjoy the clear Mediterranean waters without huge crowds thanks to its lack of major resorts and hotels. And besides relaxing on the beach, Çıralı is also known for its loggerhead turtles who lay their eggs each year on the beach.
4. Stay in a treehouse
The fourth best thing to do in Olympos National Park is to stay in a treehouse. The town of Olympos, which is located right near Çıralı, is filled with these hippie-style accommodations. Kadir’s tree house is the original one and was established in the 2000s.
3. Göynük Canyon
At number three we have the mesmerizing Göynük Canyon, which is located near Kemer. From magnificent waterfalls to pine forests and deep-green pools, Göynük Canyon makes for a great outdoor destination. Explore this beautiful natural wonder while hiking, canyoning or camping.
2. Mt. Chimaera “Eternal Flame”
At number two we have Mount Chimaera and its “eternal flames”. These fascinating natural flames can be found on the rocky mountainside above Çıralı village and near Olympos. The flames have been burning for centuries thanks to a sort of methane gas that has been venting from the earth on this mountain.

The best thing to do in Olympos National Park in our opinion is to visit the Olympos Ruins. These are located right on the beach of Olympos, which is a modern village named after the ancient city. Olympos was once one of the most important cities of the ancient Lycian Civilization and a very important trading place.

Таруса – старинный русский город, административный центр Тарусского района Калужской области. Город расположен у впадения реки Таруса (Таруска) в реку Ока, в 36 км от Серпухова, в 70 км от Калуги. Город имеет статус природно-архитектурного заповедника, внесен в перечень исторических городов России.
Годом основания Тарусы считают 1246 год, в связи с первым упоминанием города (тогда Торуса) в исторических документах. За все время своего существования Таруса была и центром удельного княжества, и центром собственного княжества, а с конца 14 века входила в состав Великого княжества Московского. В 16 веке Таруса не раз подвергалась нападению крымских татар, поскольку была важным стратегическим пунктом береговой защиты по Оке на южных подступах к Первопрестольной. Во время Отечественной войны 1812 года Таруса оказалась ближайшим тыловым городом, через который российская армия получала продовольствие и оружие.

Таруса летом это волшебный край, в котором гармонично переплетаются узоры русской природы и зодчества. Край, наполняющий душу спокойствием и музыкой.
Лучше всего о Тарусе написал Паустовский: Пожалуй, нигде поблизости от Москвы не было мест таких типично и трогательно русских по своему пейзажу. В течение многих лет Таруса была как бы заповедником этого удивительного по своей лирической силе, разнообразию и мягкости ландшафта. Недаром ещё с конца XIX века Таруса стала городом художников, своего рода нашим отечественным Барбизоном. Здесь жили Поленов и тончайший художник Борисов-Мусатов, здесь живут Крымов, Ватагин и многие наши художники. Сюда каждое лето приезжает на практику молодёжь из московских художественных институтов. За художниками потянулись писатели и учёные, и Таруса сделалась своего рода творческой лабораторией и приютом для людей искусства и науки.
Кроме Тарусы в видео поместье «Полeново» — государственный мемориальный историко-художественный и природный музей-заповедник художника Василия Поленова, и церковь Рождества Богородицы в Подмоклово.

Итак, долго ли, коротко ли, но мы вышли на финишную прямую нашего путешествия. Все города, что лежали у нас впереди, были хорошо нам знакомы, поскольку в них мы бывали уже не раз.
