In this episode you will see Piatra Neamț, including a beautiful ride above the town in the local gondola transport system. This is the last episode of the series.
A very nice and relaxing holiday spent in Romania, with a focus on Bucovina monasteries - many of which are on the UNESCO heritage list. One episode (day) every Saturday.
As we travelled during the Covid pandemic and just before Easter, there were almost no tourists around, therefore we felt quite safe during the entire holiday.
We visited the following monasteries: Văratec, Agapia, Sucevița, Putna, Bogdana, Arbore, Moldovița, Voroneț, Humorului and Dragomirna.
In addition you will see: Onești town (Trotus Hotel), Târgu Ocna Salt Cave, Slănic Moldova Resort, Rădăuți town, Vatra Dornei Resort and Piatra Neamț town.
We will also present you the hotels and guest houses we stayed in during our trip, as well as the food we had and the related prices.

Located in Târgu Ocna, Villa CASTELLINO provides a garden. There's a terrace and guests can use free WiFi and free private parking.
At the guesthouse, all rooms are equipped with a closet, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen and towels. Villa CASTELLINO has some units with garden views, and every room has an electric tea pot. All guest rooms will provide guests with a fridge.

Europe's Largest Salina Salt Old Mine Unirea | Slanic Prahova Country | Romania | full tour | full HD Nov 2020
Slănic mine is an old salt mine,located in Slănic,Prahova County,Romania, just 100 km north of Bucharest. The salt mine is open for visitors,featuring a microclimate with natural air-conditioning and constant temperature and atmospheric pressure throughout the year. It is made up of two levels, named Unirea and Mihai. Many of the visitors come for its supposed healing effects due to the purity of the air. Throughout the mine you will find various types of equipment for recreational activity such as playground equipment and some ping-pong tables. One area is sectioned off and is used for medical patients with lung cancer to come and rest in.
The work for the opening of the Unirea salt mine started in 1938 and the exploitation of the salt from this mine was performed between 1943-1970.
The exploitation was done downward from the ceiling to the basis in successive slices of 2.2 meters with a horizontal cutting at the basis and vertically along the walls. The de-rocking was made through shooting. The transportation of the resulting material was effected with the tubs up the shaft using a cage to the installation of preparation and expedition.

The mine is composed of 14 chambers with trapezoidal profiles, having a 10 m opening to the ceiling and 32 m to the ground, a height of 54 m and a wall inclination angle of 60 degrees. The shore difference between the surface and the base of the mine is of 208 m . The excavated space occupies a volume of 2.9 million m³ and it is extended on a surface of 78,000 m².[citation needed]
After 1970, the mine becomes a touristic objective, offering exceptional natural conditions as a result of its microclimate rich in aerosols, which proved its well-known efficiency in treating the respiratory diseases. The air-conditioning of the mine is natural, with a constant temperature during the whole year of 12 °C, an atmospheric pressure of 730 mmHg and a humidity with an average of 10% lower than the surface average.

is a salt mine in area of Turda, the second largest city in Cluj County, northwest Romania. Opened for tourists in 1992, the Salina Turda mine was visited by about 618,000 Romanian and foreign tourists in 2017.

Turda Salt Mine is the world’s most spectacular underground formation shaped by people. Turda Salt Mine is one of the most spectacular tourist destinations in the world. It is the underground formation that people created in a special natural environment, in the depths of Transylvania, digging into the salt deposited after the evaporation of the sea that covered the entire region millions of years ago. Now, the salt from Turda Salt Mine could cover the salt requirement for the entire Planet for 60 years
Iosif mine--
The Iosif Mine can be visited through the balconies carved in salt. It is next to the Franz Josef Gallery. This mine is a conical chamber 112 metres (367 ft) deep and 67 metres (220 ft) wide at the base. Because of its shape and lack of communication with the other major mining points, this mine has a powerful echo, leading to it being called the Echoes Room.
Rudolf mine
42 metres (138 ft) deep, 50 metres (160 ft) wide, and 80 metres (260 ft) long, Rudolf mine is the last place where salt was mined in Turda. Through the compartment of access, 172 steps lead to the mine hearth.[10] On the walls of each of the 13 floors is marked the year when the respective level was opened. Formed over the years on the northwestern ceiling are salt stalactites, some even 3 metres (10 ft) long. The panoramic elevator offers tourists an overview of the whole mine.
Gizela mine
The Gizela mine and technical rooms in the northeastern extremity of the salt mine are similar to those of the Rudolf mine but much smaller because the salt exploration stopped shortly after the opening of this mine. Currently this mine serves as a spa treatment room with natural aerosols.
