Driving Romania: DN2D Focșani - Târgu Secuiesc - 4k scenic drive over The Carpathians - Muşat Pass
DN2D is one of the most scenic roads over The Carpathians mountains. The road is very varied, we are first driving through the flatlands of East Romania, then through The Subcarpathians Hills, before crossing the mountains over Muşat Pass (1160m asl). After the pass, we are descending towards Transylvania (Brasov Depression), before reaching the town of Târgu Secuiesc, one of the main centers of the szekely hungarians minority. We had a great time driving in fall during a sunny day through this spectacular landscape, enjoy!

Ojdula and Lepsa are two places to go if you are a motorcyclist.
You can acces this road from Tg. Secuiesc or from Focsani.
The road is a national road and has the identifier - 2D.
From Focsani to Tg. Secuiesc is 120km of curvy road.
The area is a mountainous area, which crosses the Carpathian Mountains. On the Lepsa - Ojdula section, the telephone signal is missing.
Enjoy the road and be careful, as you may encounter wild animals crossing your path, especially bears or deers.

Muzeul de Păpuși - Babamúzeum - Doll Museum (Târgu Secuiesc, Transylvania, Romania)

La 10 ani de la prima apariție publică a unei colecții de 175 păpuși, actualul muzeu este ”căsuța” primitoare a peste 1300 de păpuși. În acest uluitor și fascinant muzeu vedem cel de-al treilea suflet al păpușilor (primul este dat de producător, al doilea de fetița care s-a jucat cu ea și al treilea de colecționar) aduse la o nouă viață de care se bucură atât copiii, cât și adulții. O muncă imensă de căutare (pornind de la târgurile cu vechituri și terminând pe websiturile specializate), de aranjare (uneori o totală reîmbrăcare) și integrare într-o tematică cu subiecte clasice (celebrități, costume populare, naționalități, personaje de poveste etc.) sau fantezie. Ghidul nostru este chiar doamna Nagy Ilona Ibolya, cea care a reînsuflețit aceste păpuși, dar și proprietară. Galeria de păpuși poartă numele mamei-soacre, Olga. Suntem conduși prin 5 camere pline de păpuși, din tavan până la podea, și aflăm o mulțime de lucuri interesante despre istoria confecționării și colecționării păpușilor. Fiecare păpușă este atent aranjată, unică în felul ei, dar și prin decor (tematică) și are propria istorie. Trei din aceste camere sunt ele în sine o tematică: Nostalgia (camera păpușilor dar și a vieții cotidiene din perioada comunisto-ceaușistă a anilor 1980), Camera de Vis și Camera păpușilor de epocă. De precizat că Muzeul de Păpuși se găsește în zona centrului vechi, istoric, al orașului Târgu Secuiesc (jud. Covasna), iar vis-a-vis de muzeu, doamna NagyIlona și soțul dumneaei au amenajat în stil de epocă (pensiunea) Casa Sissy (după numele vestitei împărătese).
A babamúzeum Kézdivásárhelyen egy műemléképületben kapott otthont, az épület a 19. Század elején épült és ekletikus jegyeket hordoz magában. A központból kifele, keletre haladva találhatjuk meg ezt a műemléket. A front oldalon egy szép kovácsolt vas erkély található. Az épület a 19. Század elején a csizmadia ipartársulat székháza volt, vele szemben található a család lakása amely 1875-ben épült. A babamúzeumot 2010-ben Nagy Ibolya alapította 175 babával, ma már ez a szám 1300 fölé emelkedett . A nevét a múzeum az alapító anyosának, Olgának a nevéről kapta. A múzeum anyaga teljes egészében magángyűjtemény, az elmult évek gyűjtőmunkájának az eredménye. A gyűjteményben megtalálhatóak klasszikus és modern porcelánbabák, művészbabák, limitált kiadású babák, karakter babák, vinil babák és mások. Ezek a babák élethű kialakításukkal, mesterien megvarott ruháikkal többek mint múlandó játékszerek. A múzeum nem oktató jellegű. A babamúzeum egy mese és valóság, életre kel a mese. Emlékek, álmok, vágyak itt mind életre kelnek, mesebeli valóságot teremtenek és ez különleges élményt jelenthet minden korosztály számára.
10 years after the first public appearance of a collection of 175 dolls, the current museum is the welcoming house of over 1300 dolls. In this amazing and fascinating museum we see the third soul of the dolls (the first is given by the producer, the second by the little girl who played with it and the third by the collector) brought to a new life that makes happy both children and and adults. A huge job of searching (starting from the antiques fairs and ending on specialized websites), arranging (sometimes a total dressing) and integration in a theme with classic topics (celebrities, folk costumes, nationalities, story characters, etc.) or fantasy. Our guide is even Mrs. Nagy Ilona Ibolya, who revived these dolls, but also is the owner. The doll gallery is named after his mother-in-law, Olga. We are led through 5 rooms full of dolls, from ceiling to floor, and we find a lot of interesting things about the history of making and collecting dolls. Each doll is carefully arranged, unique in its own way, but also by decoration (thematic) and has its own history. Three of these rooms are themselves a theme: Nostalgia (the doll room but also of the daily life in the communist-Ceausescu period of the 1980s), the Dream Room and the Vintage Dolls Room. It should be mentioned that the Doll Museum is located in the area of the old, historic center of Târgu Secuiesc (Covasna County), and opposite the museum, Mrs. Nagy Ilona and her husband arranged the Sissy Guesthouse (after the name of the famous empress), in vintage style.

DN2D este un drum național din România care leagă Focșaniul de Târgu Secuiesc, traversând munții Vrancei pe valea Putnei.
Munții Vrancei sunt o unitate de relief a Carpaților de Curbură, aparținând de lanțul muntos al Carpaților Orientali. Cel mai înalt pisc este Vârful Goru, având 1785 m.
