Top 5 Atractii Turistice in Judetul Neamt
Descoperind târgul din Humulești cu Lucian Georgescu - Partea 1 (Târgu Neamț, România)

Oborul din Humulești este urmașul vechilor târguri din Târgu Neamț care de-a lungul timpului au migrat din perimetrul orașului spre periferie până a ajuns unde este acum, pe celălalt mal al Ozanei, în Humulești. Oborul din Humulești este situat în zona unde copilul Ion Creangă obișnuia să se scalde, dar pe vremea când Ionică (Ion Creangă) încerca să vândă pupăza din tei, ceasul satului, târgul era situat în cu totul altă parte și anume la poalele Cetății Neamț.
În prezent, oborul din Humulești are un dublu rol. În primul rând aici se ține târgul săptămânal (schimbat recent în ziua de sâmbătă), iar în al doilea rând, în săptămâna Rusaliilor, este un mare bâlci (dar și acesta în legătură cu hramul și târgul Mănăstirii Neamț, al Înălțării Domnului în ziua de Rusalii).
Numele de „obor” (târg de animale) sub care este cunoscut târgul din Humulești, nu mai este așa de corect, fiind de fapt mai mult un bazar. În zilele de târg, zona este foarte animată și vin negustori de la mari depărtări, Târgu Neamț fiind situat la tranziția dintre munte și câmpie.
Mulți negustori, așa cum vedem în videoclip, nici nu mai intră în perimetrul oborului, ci își expun marfa pe drumul de acces de la podul de la Humulești (care traversează Ozana făcând legătura cu orașul Târgu Neamț) până la poarta oborului.
Videoclipul de față surprinde aspecte ale târgului tocmai pe acest sector, de la pod până la poarta oborului. Persoanele cu care intrăm în contact și discutăm aspecte ale mărfurilor, dar și probleme de viață, sunt următoarele: Dl. Butnariu din Grumăzești (căciuli tradiționale de blană), un domn din Grumăzești (caș), doamna Mina Irimia din Humulești (covoare decorateive făcute manual), un domn din Târgu Mureș (coșuri de nuiele făcute manual), domnul Ferdinand Copos (lucrător în tablă), doamna Maria Sârghi din Grumăzești (ciorapi de lână împletiți manual), o familie din Grumăzești (brânzeturi) și domnul Averescu din Târgu Neamt (geambaș de cai).

În episodul de față, „călătoria” noastră (început de decembrie 2023) prin oborul din Humulești, urmașul târgurilor din Târgu Neamț, continuă prin sectoarele cu produse agricole, de la zarzavat și legume așa cum sunt scoase din pământ, la cereale parțial prelucrate, până la produse care necesită o prelucrare ceva mai avansată, cum ar fi uleiul de floarea soarelui, presat la rece. La fel ca și în cazul altor mărfuri, sunt unii producători-vânzători care vin de la distanțe mai mari, zeci de kilometri, Târgu Neamț fiind situat exact la limita dintre zona montană și câmpie, plus tradiția (ne amintim de Ion Creangă care încerca să vândă pupăza, ceasul satului, numai că pe atunci târgul era situat la poalele Cetății Neamț, iar acum e în Humulești, pe celălalt mal al Ozanei. Târgul se mai numește și obor, iar numele acesta ar trebui să însemne târg de animale, dar bazarul „cu di tăti” ia locul animalelor. Desigur, în afara cailor care trag căruțele gospodarilor veniți la târg din satele învecinate, ca excepție, găsim și niște „animale”, mai precis „zburătoare” sub forma unor cocoși parțial jumuliți (natural), recomandați de Lucian Georgescu ca fiind foarte buni pentru prepararea răciturilor. Sectorul cerealier este bine reprezentat și vedem o mulțime de saci cu grâu, porumb, orz, ovăz, atât sub formă de boabe, cât și parțial măcinate sub formă de crupe, simple sau în amestec furajer pentru hrana animalelor, dar și făină de grâu pentru pâine și mai ales, mălai grisat (făină mai grosieră de porumb) pentru strămoșeasca mămăligă.

Wiki: Neamț Citadel (Romanian: Cetatea Neamț or Cetatea Neamțului) is a medieval fortress located in north-eastern part of Romania, near Târgu Neamț, Neamț County. It was built in 14th century Moldavia during Petru I of Moldavia's reign and expanded in the 15th century. The citadel played a key role in Stephen III of Moldavia's defense system, along with Suceava, Hotin, Soroca, Orhei, Tighina, Chilia and Cetatea Albă.
Lack of reliable information on the origins of Neamț Fortress had resulted in several hypotheses whose reliability was often questioned. A number of historians and philologists, as A.D. Xenopol, B.P. Hasdeu, D. Onciul consider that - according to the papal bull of 1232 - the Teutonic Knights of Bârsa had built between 1211–1225 on the eastern slope of the Carpathians a castrum muntissimum which was later identified as the citadel. The Germanic (Teutonic or Saxon) hypothesis was acquired by many of Romanian historians and sustained by both: -the site's onomastic Neamt, which in Slavonic and Rumanian languages means German -and by the fortification style, typical to Imperial German military architecture of Hohenstaufen period XII-XIV centuries. The German knights the Saxons have been appointed to fortify the Carpathian passes against the frequent barbarian incursions into Transilvania. The Saxons have been settled in Transilvania (Siebenbürgen- seven castles) since then, 150 years before the founding of later principalities of Valachia and Bogdania(Moldova).
Archaeological research of the citadel has not revealed any evidence of a fortification before the reign of prince Peter II (1375-1391) & oldest coins discovered on the site are from the same reign. The name might be related with the name of the district and later county of Neamț where later ( i.e. early 14th century) Saxon colonists settled in the nearby town of Baia (known then as Moldau).

A very nice and relaxing holiday spent in Romania, with a focus on Bucovina monasteries - many of which are on the UNESCO heritage list. One episode (day) every Saturday.
As we travelled during the Covid pandemic and just before Easter, there were almost no tourists around, therefore we felt quite safe during the entire holiday.
We visited the following monasteries: Văratec, Agapia, Sucevița, Putna, Bogdana, Arbore, Moldovița, Voroneț, Humorului and Dragomirna.
In addition you will see: Onești town (Trotus Hotel), Târgu Ocna Salt Cave, Slănic Moldova Resort, Rădăuți town, Vatra Dornei Resort and Piatra Neamț town.
