Japan is an interesting location with a history and culture unmatched anyplace else in the world for many tourists. Almost everyone who travels to Japan falls in love with it. History fans may visit all the castles and historical monuments, seekers of spirituality can visit the temples and other places of worship, and curious tourists can discover everything there is to know about the local culture at the traditional inns, tea houses, and sumo wrestling tournaments. In addition, Japan is a great place for foodies who know that Japanese cuisine consists of much more than just sushi, for adventurers who wish to climb Mount Fuji, or for tourists who just want to take in the natural beauty of the cherry blossom season.

FAQ
================================

Q: How long was the trip?
A: Around 18 days. But I would say it's doable in 2 weeks. If you want more time to explore then 3 weeks should be more than adequate.

Q: How many days do I need in each city?
A: I would say 3-5 days in Kyoto and Osaka. Nara 1-2 days. At least 4-6 days in Tokyo but the more the better.

Q: How much did it cost?
A: Excluding hotels + airplane tickets we had a budget of around 2000 USD

Q: Is there vegan restaurant options in Japan?
A: Yes, I found plenty, and most restaurants offer vegan-friendly meals

Q: Which month did you go?
A: We visited in July but I would recommend visiting in either the Autumn or Spring season

Q: Where did you stay overnight?
A: You can find links to the different accommodations above + alternatives.

All the photos are ones I've taken myself, so all credit goes to... me! Well done me!

10 Tips for Attending the F1 Japanese GP at Suzuka

We travelled to Suzuka and learned a lot along the way. We made this video guide to help others travelling to the Japanese Grand Prix. We explain everything from race tickets to bus and train tickets. It is not always the easiest for non-Japanese speakers to navigate their way but the pointers in this video should help. Includes how to get to one of the train stations near the circuit (Shiroko) and how to get from their to the circuit by bus over the course of the race weekend. We also share some sight-seeing tips if, like many do, you choose to stay in Nagoya.

We really enjoyed our Japanese Grand Prix experience and would recommend the race to F1 fans around the world. The fan experience their is quite unique with some very passionate fans mixed in with good behaviour making it one of the most pleasant races on the calendar for a paying F1 fan to attend. It is particularly good if you do not want to be subjected to some of the drunken fans that can make attending some of the European races such as Spa and Austria less attractive.

Our channel, Yesnomads, provides regular video updates from our life on the road since 2013. We bring you videos from a huge range of locations across the planet featuring sights, sounds, nature, cities, attractions, restaurants, shops, hotels, cars, buses and aircraft!

We Watched the F1 Race at Suzuka Circuit & Stayed in an Onsen Hotel!

For our anniversary, we went to Osaka and watched the F1 Race at Suzuka Circuit! Plus as a surprise on the way down to Osaka, Zeb planned an overnight stay in an onsen hotel on Lake Biwa, with a kaiseki dinner! Such a good surprise :)

Also, we found out how NOT to get to Suzuka Circuit from Osaka...

MIE PREFECTURE/ SUZUKA, JAPAN

Title: Mie Prefecture/ Suzuka, Japan

Mie Prefecture has a rich and varied natural landscape, from mountainous region where people can enjoy skiing to seafront beaches where sub-tropical plants grow in abundance. Due to the diverse geographical nature of the area, the prefecture's climate has a variety of characteristics. The annual area for Ise plain is 15 degrees celcius which is relatively hot for Japan. The Iga basin has typical climate for inland basin area with large variations in temperature throughout the year. Join me to explore the charms of Suzuka, Mie Prefecture, within the Kansai region on Japan's main island of Honshu, has a vast protected areas and some 1,000 kilometers of pacific coastline.
