My first visit to PEI dates back to my childhood, I was 11 to be exact. I spent two weeks on the beautiful island during my grade 5 summer vacation. I had been wanting to return to this magical island for a while now and finally got to do so this fall. There are so many amazing things to do in Prince Edward Island:

Our first family vacation is in PEI! I don't have my own kids. But last year I spent an amazing time in Eastern PEI and wanted to bring my sister's family back and my Mom too!
While I've spent the last 11 years traveling the world on my own, family travel is a whole new challenge. Understanding the needs of traveling with kids aged 2 and 4 was completely different.
So I wanted to share, what I did right, what I learned. And all the things you can do with kids in Prince Edward Island. We loved Still Waters Cottages so much we're already booked to return to Georgetown next July!
My biggest tip is to take the PEI ferry. The Northumberland Ferries is from Caribou to Wood Islands and is only 75 minutes. It's great traveling with kids because you are on the ferry just long enough to have a snack and go sight seeing on the boat.
