1. Vivekananda Rock Memorial :

The magnificent Vivekananda Rock Memorial is located on a small island off Kanyakumari. ► Kanyakumari Temple
Kanyakumari Temple is also referred to as Bhagvaty Amman Temple and is one of the 108 Shakti Peetha in Hindu mythology. The temple is one of the major Hindu temples across India and is mentioned in almost all the ancient Hindu scriptures. The temple is frequented by thousands of pilgrims each year and the temple’s architecture is also unique.

► Vivekananda Rock Memorial
One of the iconic monuments in Kanyakumari, the Vivekananda Rock Memorial is located 100 meters from the shore and is one of the major tourist attractions in Kanyakumari. The small rock island can be reached by a ferry and consists of two main structures. The Vivekananda Mandapam and the Shripada Mandapam are the two main complexes of the memorial and is frequented by thousands of tourists.

► Suchindrum
A temple town, Suchindrum is located 11 kilometers from the city of Kanyakumari. The temples here are built in the distinctive Dravidian style and are adorned with massive gopurams which are a common characteristic of all the Dravidian temples. The highest gopuram is 134 feet high and the inside of the temples sport various exquisite rock cut pillars and gateways. Being an ancient temple town it is frequented by a huge number of pilgrims each year.

► Padmanabhapuram Palace
The old granite fortress was the residence of the Travancore Rulers and was constructed around 1601 AD. The fort complex contains several important buildings like the King’s council Chamber, Thai Kottaram or the Mother’s palace and the Natakasala or the house of performances etc. The fort also has a small museum that contains various artifacts from the older times and various weapons like swords and daggers, paintings, Chinese jars and a plethora of wooden furniture. The massive 133 feet tall statue is of the Saint Poet Thiruvalluvar, who was considered to be one of the greatest Tamil poets in India. The pedestal of the statue is artistically designed and is decorated with 10 elephants that signify the various directions.

Now Suchindram temple, also known as Sthanumalayan temple is known temple for its beautiful stone sculptures and architecture splendor,

This temple has just one idol for all the three Gods – with Lord Brahma at the base, Lord Vishnu in the middle and Lord Shiva at the top.

1. Vivekananda Rock Memorial :
Vivekananda Rock Memorial is a popular tourist monument in Vavathurai, Kanyakumari, India. It was built in 1970 in honour of Swami Vivekananda who is said to have attained enlightenment on the rock.

2. Kanyakumari Beach :
Located in the southernmost part of India, Kanyakumari beach with its beautiful hue-changing beaches, the confluence of three water bodies as well as the places of religious, historic and spiritual interests is one of the most exotic destinations in India and will never cease to amuse you with its sheer magnificence. 3. Thiruvalluvar Statue :
The Thiruvalluvar Statue, or the Valluvar Statue, is a 133-feet tall stone sculpture of the Tamil poet and philosopher Tiruvalluvar, author of the Tirukkural, an ancient Tamil work on secular ethics and morality. It is located atop a small island near the town of Kanyakumari on the southernmost point of the Indian peninsula on the Coromandel Coast, where two seas (the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea) and an ocean (the Indian Ocean) meet.

The Hindu goddess residing in this religious edifice is endearingly known as Shree Bhagavathy (Durga); hence, the name - Bhagavathy Amman. 7. Thirparappu Falls :
Tirparappu Waterfalls are located in Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu state, India. The Kodayar River makes its descent at Thiruparappu. The water fall at this place is about 13 kilometres from Pechiparai Dam. It is just a 15 min drive from the waterfalls.The river bed is rocky and about 300 feet (91 m) in length. The water falls from a height of nearly 50 feet (15 m) and the water flows for about seven months per year.

Mathoor Aqueduct or Mathoor Hanging Trough, is an aqueduct in southern India, in the Vilavancode taluk of Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu state. Built over the Pahrali River (also called Parazhiyar), it takes its name from Mathoor, a hamlet near the aqueduct, which is about 3 kilometres from Thiruvattar town and about 60 km from Kanyakumari, the southernmost town of India. It is one of the longest and highest aqueducts in South Asia and is a popular tourist spot in Kanyakumari District.

9. Gandhi Mandapam :
Popularly called, Gandhi Mandapam, this is a major tourist attraction in Kanyakumari. When the Mahatma was cremated, his ashes were collected into 12 different urns and scattered throughout the country. The urn that was brought to Kanyakumari was kept at a spot inside the memorial before immersion.

Suchindram is a panchayat town in Kanyakumari district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.It is an important pilgrim centre and the site of the famous Thanumalayan Temple. There is an Anjaneya, (or Hanuman), statue which stands at 22 feet (6.7 m) and is carved of a single granite block. It is one of the tallest statues of its type in India.
It is 11 km from Kanyakumari city and 7 km from Nagarcoil town 105 km from adjacent Tirunelveli district and approximately 81 km from Trivandrum city. The town of Suchindrum is renowned for the Thanumalayan Temple and was an important citadel of Travancore.
