Stralsund ist eine alte Hansestadt, die noch viele ältere Gebäude besitzt und es ist einfach nur schön hier seine Zeit zu verbringen.

Rundgang durch das OZEANEUM in Stralsund April 2019 4K
Hallo und einen schönen guten Tag! Nach fast vier Jahren habe ich mich wieder auf den Weg gemacht und das OZEANEUM in der schönen Stadt Stralsund besucht. Im Gepäck hatte ich neben meinem Manfrotto-Stativ MT055CXPRO3 auch den Sonycamcorder FDR-AX53 mit dem ich unter anderem auch in 4K mit 25p aufnehmen kann. Der Schwerpunkt der Aquarien des OZEANEUMS liegt auf Unterwasserlebewesen der Ostsee, der Nordsee und des Atlantiks, daher sind die Fische in diesem Video natürlich nicht so kunterbunt wie man das von Fischen tropischer Meere kennt. Ein Highlight dieses Museums ist natürlich das mit 2,6 Mio. Litern größte Aquarium des OZEANEUMS mit dem Namen Offener Atlantik, seit dem Umbau im Jahr 2018 liegt in diesem Becken ein fast 11 Meter langes Schiffswrack. Neben vielen Goldmaids, Doraden, Wolfsbarschen, Streifenbrassen, Adlerrochen, Stechrochen und Zackenbarschen zieht auch ein fast 3 Meter langer Sandtigerhai seine Kreise durch dieses Aquarium. Es handelt sich hierbei um ein Weibchen mit Namen Niki, das im Jahr 2012 aus dem Berliner Zooaquarium nach Stralsund kam. Ebenfalls sehenswert ist die Pinguin-Anlage auf der Dachterasse. Hier kann man Humboldt-Pinguinen dabei zusehen wie sie von ihrem Brutfelsen in den 120000 Liter umfassenden Unterwasserbereich springen. Durch mehrere große und kleinere Glasscheiben kann man ihr Schwimmen und Tauchen unter der Wasseroberfläche beobachten. Ich habe mir die Freiheit genommen bei einigen Videos die Zeit zu beschleunigen, so kann man beispielsweise besser sehen wie sich der Seestern über die Glasscheibe bewegt.

Rügen is Germany's largest island by area.
It is located off the Pomeranian coast in the Baltic Sea and belongs to the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
The gateway to Rügen island is the Hanseatic city of Stralsund, where it is linked to the mainland by road and railway via the Rügen Bridge and Causeway, two routes crossing the two-kilometre-wide Strelasund, a sound of the Baltic Sea.
Rügen has a maximum length of 51.4 km (from north to south), a maximum width of 42.8 km in the south and an area of 926 km².
The coast is characterized by numerous sandy beaches, lagoons (Bodden) and open bays (Wieke), as well as projecting peninsulas and headlands.
In June 2011, UNESCO awarded the status of a World Heritage Site to the Jasmund National Park, famous for its vast stands of beeches and chalk cliffs like King's Chair, the main landmark of Rügen island.
The island of Rügen is part of the district of Vorpommern-Rügen, with its county seat in Stralsund.
The towns on Rügen are: Bergen, Sassnitz, Putbus and Garz.
In addition, there are the Baltic seaside resorts of Binz, Baabe, Göhren, Sellin and Thiessow.
Rügen is very popular as a tourist destination because of its resort architecture, the diverse landscape and its long, sandy beaches.
The island receives about one quarter of all overnight stays in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Most visitors come to Rügen between April and October, the peak season being from June to August, but its quiet atmosphere in winter is also appreciated.
The island offers a huge variety of different beach and shore areas.
Rügen is often visited by windsurfers and kitesurfers and offers more than fifteen different locations for surfing.
The most popular locations are Dranske, Rosengarten, Wiek, Suhrendorf and Neu Mukran.
On the peninsula of Jasmund is the Jasmund National Park, which consists of the beech forest of Stubnitz, including the famous chalk cliffs of Rügen.
On the Königsstuhl itself is the Königsstuhl National Park Centre, which has a multivision cinema and audio-guide exhibitions with information about the national park in several languages.

I stayed at the Hotel Kontorhaus Stralsund in August 2021.
Price range €91 - €135 per night.
The location is great, on an island next to the Stralsund Oceanium. The Old Market Square is 700 meters from the hotel.
I can’t say anything about breakfast as the cafe at the hotel was closed.

Die alte Hansestadt Stralsund liegt an der Ostseeküste in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, sie liegt direkt am Strelasund. Sie ist Kreisstadt des Landkreises Vorpommern-Rügen und UNESCO-Welterbestadt.
Stralsund war Gründungsmitglied er HANSE des Kaufmannsbundes aus dem Mittelalter.
Stralsund erhielt um 1230 das Stadtrecht und ist damit die älteste Stadt Pommerns.
Durch Handel kam die Stadt zu Wohlstand - was sich an den imposanten Bauwerken in der Altstadt zeigt. Im Jahre 2002 wurde Stralsund UNESCO - Weltkulturerbestadt zusammen mit der Hansestadt Wismar.
Das Video zeigt die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt.
Wir starten mit der Marienkirche - Marienstrasse 16 - ein imposanter spätgotischer Bau- hier kann man auch sehr gut parken und die Stadt erkunden.
Stralsund ist ein sehr schönes Beispiel der Backsteingotik im Norden von Deutschland.
Die schmalen mittelalterlichen Gassen und geschäftigen Marktplätze, Backsteingotik und bunte Giebel sind typisch für Stralsund.
Im Hafen findet man noch alte Speicherhäuser aus vergangenen Jahrhunderten und ein schönes Segelschiff - die Gorch Fock.
Das Ozeaneum ein Naturkundemuseum liegt direkt am Hafen und zeigt die beeindruckende Welt der Meerestiere.
Stralsund liegt direkt an der Meerenge zur Insel Rügen und wird das TOR ZU RÜGEN genannt. Die Rügenbrücke über den Strealasund beginnt hier.

Technical explanation:
As this video is shot in Google's new Dreamcast format you can watch it either in 2D or in 3D! If you watch it in 2D, you can actually move around in the video screen with dragging - or by moving your phone!
And if you want to meet me (and Berlin! ;-) ) in 3D, you don't need an expensive VR headset. Just get a Google Cardboard for around 10$, put your phone into it, start the video in YouTube and click on the small icon that looks like weird sunglasses! :)
