So you’re thinking of moving to Utah but you have no clue where to start looking? You’ve heard of places like Salt Lake City, Park City, St. George, Moab, and Lake Powell but would not be able to point them out on a map and especially in relation to one another. Whether you are looking to move to Utah for work, play, retirement, or you have just heard great things about Utah, I’m going to go over the major areas of Utah and then dive deeper into Northern Utah in future videos, so keep an eye out for those.
Utah is 350 miles long and 270 miles wide
Population 3.27 million
Highest elevation: 13,528 at King’s Peak in the Uintah Mountains
Lowest elevation: 2,350 in SW corner of the state
Wasatch and Uintah mountain ranges are part of the Rocky mountains
85% of Utah’s population lives within 15 miles of the wasatch range.
Wasatch mountain range is typically referred to either the Wasatch front which is the west side of the range consisting of cities like Salt Lake, Ogden, and Provo. The Wasatch back consists of cities such as Park City, Heber, and Morgan.
There is public transportation run by UTA (Utah Transit Authority). There are:
*Front Runner (commuter train) - Ogden to Provo ($5 round trip ticket)
*Trax (light rail system) in Salt Lake City including out to the airport
*Buses
Salt Lake City was designed based on a grid system. The origin of the city is at Temple Square. Very easy to find an address in Salt Lake City because most are just numbers and N/S/E/W.

We had the entire pink lake to ourselves and even Utah locals told us they didn’t know about this pink lake. The Spiral Jetty was the perfect place to see the pink lake. There are other places where you can see the pink lake in Utah, but the Spiral Jetty has lots of secluded beach to run around and explore.

We headed out to Stansbury Island for a camping and target practice weekend. I was originally a little weary of heading out as some reviews I read stated the road was quite rough and may take some time to traverse. It ended up being the opposite of that and the road was not too bad. This could be due to coming out in the spring when the road is more packed after the winter.
We really enjoyed our time was able to teach the kids proper firearm handling and how to be safe with them. A little bit of education goes a long way to making sure they feel comfortable and not going to accidentally use them incorrectly.

Here is the second of several rides to, from, and around Dundalk in SE Baltimore County. In this installment, I head out from Watersedge Park (at the end of Dundalk Ave), head past the Dundalk Marine Terminal, briefly head back into the City to break at Fort Holabird Park, then back into the County to Stansbury Park. Stansbury Park has a very nice lake in it that I take rest at. I traveled through the Baltimore County area of Dundalk, and the City neighborhood of Saint Helena. Filmed on February 15, 2020, from around 10:30am to 11am.
