Boiler Kamchatka
Kamchatka is the popular name of the coal-fired boiler house on Blokhin Street, which became famous thanks to the work of Viktor Tsoi (Kino group) in it. Kamchatka is located at Blokhin Street, 15, the nearest subway station is Sportivnaya.
Tsoi worked there as a stoker from autumn 1986 to 1988. Over time, such equally important personalities for Russian rock as Alexander Bashlachev, Svyatoslav Zaderiy, Andrey Mashnin and others came to work in Kamchatka.
The boiler room was the site of unofficial concerts, which was facilitated by the separate location of its building.
Also here in 1987 the filming of the film Rock took place. In an interview given in the film, Viktor Tsoi, throwing coal into the furnace, said the following: “I just feel free. Completely free.
Now Kamchatka is a club-museum of Viktor Tsoi. Here are his personal belongings - in particular, his guitar, which he acquired back in the 1970s, as well as a funny wooden figure that he carved when he studied at vocational school.
In 2006, the house was transferred from municipal ownership to a private company that planned to demolish the house and build an expensive hotel in its place. In May 2007, the public of St. Petersburg achieved the preservation of the museum.
Kamchatka has a director - Sergey Firsov, who worked there together with V. Tsoi. Since 2003 Kamchatka has been a club. A concert is held here almost every day, most often young bands perform. After all, not many beginner rock bands have the opportunity to independently organize their performance, and the club allows them to prove themselves. The owners of Kamchatka do not take money for this.
The memory of Viktor Tsoi does not fade over the years. His songs are now known and sung by modern youth. No one lives in tents around Kamchatka anymore, but no one forgets about the memorable dates of the musician, June 21 and August 15, Kamchatka these days is always full of his loyal fans.

В прошлый раз испытания для Нивы оказались слишком тяжёлыми, под конец покатушки у Нивы сдох мотор. Пришлось в срочном порядке делать СВАП и ставить новый мотор на Ниву. Лукич целый месяц провёл в гараже, всё настраивал, докручивал, чтобы на следующем выезде объехать всех и не поломаться.
Ну что же, погнали. Во-первых, мощи стало больше, удалось покорить более крутые склоны на речке. Во-вторых, увеличилась тяга, что способствовало месить грязь и не застревать.
И вот они, мажоры на Геликах, сразу трое приехали сверкать своими лакированными кузовами. Предводителем выступала Нива, первая проходя испытания на бездорожье. Теперь и они поняли, что Нива может не хуже их. Классный получился заезд.
