You can start by visiting Stone Mountain Park – right outside Atlanta. This park is over 3,000 acres and is home to some of the most incredible nature you’ll find in the USA. It’s here where you’ll see the famous Stone Mountain which is the largest exposed granite on earth!
But the Stone Mountain isn’t just a beautiful piece of rock. It’s also a historical monument where you can see carvings of Confederate Generals.

This travel vlog to Stone Mountain GA shares all of what there is to do in this Stone Mountain Travel Guide we give our travel insider tips on things to do Stone Mountain Georgia. We travel during this covid-19 pandemic while keeping our distance from others. This was a great escape into nature and the history behind the carving in Stone Mountain. Traveling during covid is a real thing that needs to be addresses but we did so safely and we can assure you of that. However not much was open as normally would be so we did our best to give you the best Stone Mountain Park travel guide out there. We hope you go visit if in Atlanta, Georgia or in the surrounding area it is a cool road trip to day and the day trip van be worth it which is what we discuss in this travel vlog.
The road trip there is roughly 30 minutes from the city of Atlanta. In this Atlanta road trip we also hike up Stone Mountain through the walk up trail which is a mile long hike straight up to the top of Stone Mountain. The hike was definitely worth the view as you can see the downtown Atlanta skyline from the top of Stone Mountain.
Stone Mountain's history also took us to a quarry where miners mined the granite from Stone Mountain travel vlog. This as well as an old mill used to power the tools where we visited. Sadly the other attractions such as the museum and cable car weren't open along with Stone Mountain Inn tour. We give a review and tour or Stone Mountain. Hope you enjoy.
