Driving Romania: DJ201 Țăndărei - Slobozia - 4k relaxing drive through Bărăgan plains along Ialomița
We are travelling today through the wide-open plains of Bărăgan, in south-east Romania, between the towns of Țăndărei and Slobozia, an important agricultural center, along Ialomița river. Took this time the county road DJ201 instead of the main national road DN2A (E60), in order to better explore the area. Enjoy!

Driving Romania: DJ201 & DJ201B Slobozia - Lehliu Gară - 4k relaxing drive through Bărăgan plains
We are travelling today through the wide-open plains of Bărăgan, in south-east Romania, between the town of Slobozia, an important agricultural center, and Lehliu Gară, situated near the A2 motorway. We drive first along Ialomița river, until the village of Orezu, and then cross the plains between Ialomița and Argova valleys. We drive just on county roads, most of them of decent quality, excepting the section. Enjoy!

We are travelling today through the wide-open plains of Bărăgan, in south-east Romania, between the town of Slobozia, an important agricultural center, and Țăndărei, along Ialomița river. DN2A is a good-quality road, the former main connection between Bucharest and Constanta, but the traffic reduced a lot after the building of the A2 motorway. Enjoy!

This week it's time for a ride on Romania's own high-speed train, built by Softronic in Craiova, and operated by their passenger division, Softrans.
These units run at up to 160km/h (100mph) on routes between București (Bucharest) and Craiova, Brașov, and Constanța. Whilst this might not be true high-speed, the acceleration and speed is definitely the best in service in Romania.
In this video, look out for some of the weird aspects of the train's interior, some of which are good and the rest not so. Also watch out for some of the really surprising stuff I saw out of the window, it's something you never really want to see when on a train...

Ilie Alexandru, the Romanian millionaire, desired to teleport the Southfork farm from the film to the Slobozia plains, a city of Ialomita county in South Romania, near the Bulgarian border.
Fans of the Dallas series can enjoy the visit that will transpose them in time and space, and photography enthusiasts will have inspiration and background for some spectacular art creations.
