10 Most Beautiful Places to Visit in Canada

Canada is located in North America with ten provinces and three territories. Canada is the second-largest country after Russia, and its capital is Ottawa. The country covers a whopping 9.98 million square kilometers, making it huge. The official language of Canada is English and French, and if you do not speak French or you are not a French native, you might want to learn a little bit of French before visiting the country. Canada is one of the coldest regions of the world, and as a visitor, you will need to prepare winter clothes for the weather. Canada is rich in culture and architecture and has a lot of beautiful places to be visited. In this video, we will be looking at the ten most beautiful places to visit in Canada. How were these places built? What makes them so significant that they have been considered tourist sites? What is the history behind them, and what exactly do they represent? Before Canada became one of the fastest-growing European tourist destinations, it had its fair share of civil and world wars. They had to go through reformations, adjustments, and changes before they became the country that they are. They have places that are now considered attraction sites that depict their history and preserve their culture, and some others are just natural wonders.

Number 1- Niagara Falls
The first of the most beautiful places to visit in Canada is Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls is the world-famous Canadian beauty spot, and it is viewed from both Canada and America. Tourists have argued on which view is the best, but if you are opportune, you might view it from both ends. Niagara Falls is one of the natural wonders of Canada. It is not the tallest nor the widest waterfall, but it is extraordinary in its way. Niagara falls have been incorporated into movie scenes, it is a famous location for weddings, and it has hosted couples on their honeymoons. The Niagara has also hosted the brave people interested in showing their strength and resilience against mother nature. They do this by crossing the falls on a tight rope or just jumping over the edge right into the turbulence in a barrel. For those that are not that brave and are very much interested in their safety, there are safer ways to enjoy Niagara falls through the use of the boat named the maid of the mist.

Number 2- The Yellow Knife
Yellowknife is another impressive place in Canada to explore if you are visiting Canada for the first time. Yellowknife is a natural phenomenon that you do not get to see often. It is a rare sight and is located in the Northwest Territories. It is the capital of the Northwest Territories and is the only city in the territory. It is a historic mining city built on gold and is now sustained by diamonds. It is located on the North shore of the Great Slave Lake. One of the ways to enjoy this beautiful view is to travel from coast to coast, from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Another way to enjoy it is to Take a drive across the Trans-Canada Highway or ride on the Canadian, a train from the 1950s that journeys from Toronto to Vancouver for 3 to 4 days.

Number 3- Banff National Park
The third on the list of most beautiful places in Canada is Banff National Park. Banff National Park is Canada's oldest park, situated in Alberta. It was established in 1885 and covered about 6,641 square kilometers. It has a mountainous terrain with ice fields and many glaciers.

East Arm, Great Slave Lake - Guided Kayak Trip

The fabled East Arm of Great Slave Lake has a spectacular reputation among locals, and for good reason.

Book your spot on this guided kayak trip today:

This trip on the East Arm of Great Slave Lake features deep, clear water with abundant islands, narrow channels with tall red cliffs, and world-class fishing. With craggy cliffs and rocky islands, the islands of the East Arm support bald eagles, terns and gulls. Breathtaking cliffs are built from rock as old as 2.7-billion years (the oldest in the world), making for some of the most epic campsites you’ll ever experience. If fishing is your thing, you’ll definitely want to bring a fishing rod to enjoy the seemingly bottomless depths surrounding these islands. They are swarming with trophy-sized lake trout. And because the lake is clean and cold, fish keep near the surface in summer, making for plenty fishing opportunities from a kayak and from camp.

Driving the Ice Road on Great Slave Lake in Yellowknife Northwest Territories

Taking a day trip on the ice road of Great Slave Lake's East Arm in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada! (late March)

This is part of a blog post I wrote on my winter adventures in the ice and snow in my own backyard; see the whole post here:

Since December 2019, I have not left my hometown of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories (Canada's sub-arctic) once, other than a day trip up north (by plane) to Nahanni National Park. We don't even have a nearby town to visit! I was heading out on an ice road trip adventure on Great Slave Lake (we were gone from 10:30am-4:30pm), right in my own backyard! No buildings, no people, only a handful of cars, a massive frozen lake and snow as far as the eyes can see! And what was there to see??? Watch the video, and take a visit to my blog post!

I've got some very exciting things in the works (using my photographs), so be sure to stay tuned in on my facebook page: @tawnabrownphotography and my website, where you can subscribe at

If you liked this video, please consider subscribing to my channel:) I'd appreciate it so much!

Canoe Trip on the East Arm of Great Slave Lake | Thaidene Nene National Park

Marked by soaring cliffs and seemingly unlimited fish, the breathtaking scenery on the East Arm of Great Slave Lake is bristling with dramatic landscapes and true wilderness.

Ancient cliffs drop 180 metres straight down into the deep, cold waters of Great Slave Lake.

The area features unique geology and spectacular campsites in a rarely-visited route. The area is home to Canada’s newest national park: Thaidene Nëné, which translates as “The Lands of the Ancestors”.
