Velika Slatina beach is located on the north side of the island of Vir. In a small bay there is a beautiful beach. It is a pebble beach that also has a concrete part. The sea is extremely clear and has a beautiful blue color. The seabed is gravelly and there are also sandy parts. There are several concrete benches on the beach where you can relax while watching Velebit.
Velika Slatina beach has a few trees that give some natural shade. There is a café on the beach that offers cold drinks.
There is a car park by the beach.

Vir is an island on the Croatian coast of the Adriatic Sea with an area of 22 km². It lies in Dalmatia, north of the city of Zadar. It is connected to the mainland via a road bridge. The main village on the island is the eponymous village of Vir. There are two more villages, Lozice and Torovi.
The island had a population of 3,000 inhabitants, making it the 13th most populous island in Croatia.
