Bacharach and the Rhine River Valley , Germany .
The beautiful medieval village of Bacharach with its half timbered houses and cobblestone streets is situated on the Rhine River and is home to the renowned Riesling grape.
Since the Middle Ages, Bacharach, named for Bacchus, the ancient Roman God of wine, has been the most important wine village in the Middle Rhine Valley. At one time, when the riverbank was higher, the medieval defense tower in the center of town was on the waters’ edge and loaded wine barrels from a crane onto ships.

On this episode we visit the medieval town of Bacharach, Germany and its Castle, Burg Stahleck. Bacharach is a town located on the Rhein River in the Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The earliest documents that mention Bacharach date to the early 11th century but it may date to as early as the 7th century. Join us as we have visit Bacharach and learn a little bit about its history.

Die Fahrradroute „Kirchweg am Simmerbach“ führt auf einer Strecke von 21,4 Kilometern ab Simmern über Ohlweiler, Belgweiler und Oppertshausen nach Ravengiersburg und von dort über Sargenroth zurück nach Simmern. Die Route führt an drei Kirchen entlang. Die Kath. Kapelle St. Anna in Belgweiler, die Ev. Nunkirche in Sargenroth und die ehem. Stiftskirche St. Christophorus in Ravengiersburg.

Das größte Volksfest des Vorderhunsrücks öffnet seine Pforten in diesem Jahr bereits am Donnerstag, den 26. Mai 2022. Der Feiertag Christi Himmelfahrt bietet sich perfekt für einen besonderen Familientag an.
Aber nicht nur das ist neu. Aufgrund der baulichen Situation am Rathaus und in der Schulstraße sowie in der Gemündener Straße findet der Maimarkt 2022 rund um das Schloss, auf dem Schlossplatz und auf dem Brühlplatz statt. So wird die Marktfläche kleiner und kompakter ohne das Angebot an attraktiven Fahrgeschäften wie Breakdance, Riesenrad, Autoscooter u. vielerlei mehr, einzuschränken. Das leibliche Wohl kommt ebenfalls nicht zu kurz.

Dieses Video ist eine Hommage an unsere Heimat.
Zu sehen ist zunächst der Soonwald mit der Region um Argenthal, der Hunsrückdom in Ravengiersburg, unser Heimatort Biebern, sowie die Orte Bell, Kirchberg und Rohrbach.
Dann geht es an den Rhein nach Boppard zum Hubertusviadukt und zur berühmten Burg Rheinfels in St. Goar. Anschließend zur Keltensiedlung Altburg und zur Schmidtburg bei Bundenbach. Weiter an die Mosel zur Burg Metternich in Beilstein und zur Burgruine Balduinseck bei Buch. Zum Schluss sieht man einen Bachlauf im Baybachtal bei Emmelshausen und schließlich die imposante Hängeseilbrücke Geierlay in Mörsdorf.

Bubach ist eine Ortsgemeinde in der Mittelgebirgslandschaft des Hunsrücks im Rhein-Hunsrück-Kreis, Rheinland-Pfalz. Sie gehört der Verbandsgemeinde Simmern-Rheinböllen an.
B50 Rheinböllen - Simmern - Kirchberg - Morbach (D)
The B50 is a German Bundesstrasse in the state of Rheinland-Pfalz. The B50 consists of two parts. The eastern part is 73 kilometers long and connects the A60/A1 motorway at Wittlich with the A61 at Rheinböllen. The western part is 55 kilometers long and connects the A60 motorway at Landscheid with the Luxembourg town of Vianden.
In this and the next video we see the eastern part of the B50, a scenic route with several descents and climbs. The video starts on the A61 near Rheinböllen. From there it goes west towards Trier. This part of the B50 has been widened to 2x2 lanes and all connections have been made grade-separated. Work was completed in 2011. After 32 kilometers the widening ends and the road narrows to 1 lane in each direction. Although it is the intention to broaden this part, no concrete plans have yet been announced.
The video ends in the parking lot of Archäologiepark Belginum. There the B327 to Trier splits off from the B50 towards Liège.

De B50 is een Duitse Bundesstrasse in de deelstaat Rheinland-Pfalz. De B50 bestaat uit twee delen. Het oostelijke deel is 73 kilometer lang en verbindt autosnelweg A60/A1 bij Wittlich met de A61 bij Rheinböllen. Het westelijke deel is 55 kilometer lang en verbindt autosnelweg A60 bij Landscheid met de Luxemburgse plaats Vianden.
In deze en de volgende video zien we het oostelijke deel van de B50, een landschappelijk mooie route met meerdere afdalingen en beklimmingen. De video begint op de A61 bij Rheinböllen. Vandaar gaat het westwaarts richting Trier. Dit deel van de B50 is verbreed naar 2x2 rijstroken en alle aansluitingen zijn ongelijkvloers gemaakt. In 2011 werden de werkzaamheden voltooid. Na 32 kilometer eindigt de verbreding en versmalt de weg naar 1 rijstrook per rijrichting. Hoewel het de bedoeling is om dit deel ook te verbreden, zijn er nog geen concrete plannen bekend.
De video eindigt op de parkeerplaats van Archäologiepark Belginum. Daar splitst de B327 naar Trier zich af van de B50 richting Liège.
