This week our Michigan summer road trip continues as we make our way to Muskegon state park campground for the 4th of July weekend. After exploring things to do in downtown Muskegon we head to Silver Lake State Park where we rent a RZR to go off roading in Silver Lake Sand Dunes designated ORV area. Travel with us as we take you on a scenic Silver Lake driving tour in Los Angeles, California ???? . No talking, no music just the immersive sounds of LA.
Silver Lake is a trendy neighborhood located in the central Eastside area of LA, known for its hipster community. This Los Angeles virtual driving tour will take you down Sunset Boulevard and over to Hoover Street. We will wind through the cute neighborhood streets and then meet back onto Sunset Blvd, where you will see the the sights of the main strip. There is no shortage of popular restaurants, bars and local shops here. Next, we will make a left onto Silver Lake Blvd, catching a brief glimpse of the Silver Lake Reservoir (don’t worry we will be back!). We explore the Northeast section of Silver Lake, traveling down Glendale Rd and Hyperion Ave, where you will see more local businesses and trendy restaurants. We then wind through some narrow neighborhood streets to catch a glimpse of the beautiful homes (and a great view of the LA skyline). We rejoin and do a quick circle around the Silver Lake Reservoir where locals (and their dogs) are out enjoying the beautiful Southern California weather. On the last leg of our journey, we meet back on Sunset Blvd and travel up the other direction giving you a different view of the strip.

Enjoy a jam-packed day in one of the national parks or ski at one of the largest resorts in the country. Whatever you choose you won’t be disappointed as each of these towns offers stunning views and one-of-a-kind scenery.
Some of the towns on this list are lesser known and include some hidden gems. As a local, I go off the tourist path to find some unique and scenic towns to visit and with little tourist crowds.

Silver Lake Sand Dunes are located between Silver Lake and Lake Michigan.
It's one of our favorite destinations in Michigan for a nice hike. There's no real trail, so you can explore the dunes in whichever direction you want to.
It's also possible to explore the dunes by driving them. If you have a 4x4 car. They have a big off-road vehicle area.
