Praia do Santa Cruz is located in the municipality of Torres Vedras. Nestled along the stunning Atlantic coastline, Santa Cruz welcomes you with a sense of tranquility. As you arrive at Praia do Santa Cruz, a feeling of serenity washes over you. The beach exudes a peaceful ambiance offering an escape from the busy life. You can't help but be captivated by the natural beauty that surrounds you. With its vast expanse of shoreline, Santa Cruz offers ample space for leisurely strolls and scenic relaxation. As you walk along the beach, the rhythmic sound of crashing waves creates a soothing symphony. Our excursion was on a quiet weekday in the Spring. A Zona Balnear da Silveira, a cerca de 1,5 km do centro histórico de Angra do Heroísmo, ocupa hoje o cais e a rampa de um antigo porto de pesca e de apoio ao transporte marítimo, mais utilizado naqueles dias em que as tempestades de Leste impediam as operações na Baía de Angra. Hoje é um dos locais mais agradaveis e procurados do concelho para os banhos de mar, sendo por vezes, fora da época balnear, palco de provas desportivas, como natação e canoagem. É aqui que registamos o maior número daqueles banhistas que chamamos “de todo o ano”, e que mesmo de inverno não deixam de vir dar o seu mergulho. Os utilizadores que procuram este espaço, contam com duas zonas de solário, uma com acesso ao mar por escada (o cais) e a outra por rampa. Tem como infraestruturas de apoio: I.S. e balneários, duches exteriores, uma pequena zona de sombra e um bar integrado na estrutura do Hotel Caracol. O estacionamento dos utentes é feito em local próprio, no lado oposto a Estrada Regional.

The Bathing Area of Silveira, about 1.5 km from the historic center of Angra do Heroísmo, today occupies the pier and ramp of an old fishing port and support for maritime transport, most used in those days when storms from East impeded operations in Angra Bay. Today it is one of the most pleasant and sought after places in the county for bathing in the sea, and sometimes, outside the bathing season, it is the stage for sports events, such as swimming and canoeing. Users looking for this space have two solarium areas, one with access to the sea by stairs (the pier) and the other by a ramp. Its support infrastructure is: I.S. and changing rooms, outdoor showers, a small shaded area and a bar integrated in the Hotel Caracol structure. User parking is done in a separate location, opposite the Regional Road.

A Rua de Mouzinho da Silveira é um arruamento nas freguesias da Sé e São Nicolau da cidade do Porto, em Portugal.
O nome da rua é uma homenagem a José Xavier Mouzinho da Silveira, estadista e uma das personalidades maiores da revolução liberal.
A Rua de Mouzinho da Silveira é uma rua com perfil transversal de 19 metros e foi construída no último quartel do século XIX, época da maioria dos seus edifícios. O seu traçado, foi decidido em sessão camarária de 17 de Junho de 1875 para ligação do Largo de São Bento (hoje Praça de Almeida Garrett) à Rua de São João.
Para a construção desta rua, houve que cobrir o rio da Vila com um grande aqueduto. A sua construção exigiu a expropriação de mais de 80 parcelas de habitações que se localizavam na área correspondente ao seu traçado, para além da demolição de alguns edifícios notáveis, como a Capela de São Crispim e a Capela de São Roque. Foi derrubado um dos últimos vestígios da antiga muralha fernandina, localizado próximo do Largo da Porta de Carros, em frente à Igreja dos Congregados restando então apenas uma parte da muralha que servia de parede lateral à cerca do Convento de São Bento da Avé-Maria.
Esta importante artéria do centro da cidade do Porto foi profundamente marcada por um perfil comercial relacionado com a proximidade da Estação de São Bento, tendo historicamente cumprido um papel, hoje ultrapassado, de grande importância para o abastecimento das áreas rurais do Minho e Douro, nomeadamente em sementes, equipamentos para a lavoura, santos, balanças, rolhas, etc.
Farol da Ribeirinha, Faial | Viewpoints | Azores Top 10 Things To Do
Overlooking the canal, the Ribeirinha lighthouse was one of the more important landmarks on the island. It was mentioned in many works of the Portuguese writer Vitorino Nemésio, who wrote the ex-libris of the lighthouse in his work Mau Tempo no Canal. The lighthouse is a square form, covered in white azulejo (tiles); a rectangular base, featuring a central tower.
Construction began during the month of May, 1915 and inaugurated in the winter of 1919 (November 1). Its optic (made from crystal) and lantern (partly red) distinguish it as a unique World Heritage artifact. Following the earthquake of 1998, the building was abandoned due to major cracks and deterioration of the internal structure.
Following the earthquake, which was centered 5 km off the coast of Ponta da Ribeirinha, the lighthouse was left in ruins. A preemptive demolition of the building in 2001 was abandoned following a campaign of the Liga dos Amigos do Farol (the League of Friends of the Lighthouse). Their objective is to preserve and reconstruct the lighthouse.

The Algar do Carvão (Cavern of Coal) is an ancient lava tube or volcanic vent located in the central part of the island of Terceira in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores.
The Algar is populated by a rich plant tapestry, that covers the mouth of the cone structure, including various endemic species.
The cave itself is remarkable for the unique mineralogical characteristics of its silicate stalactites.

Café dos Vimes, SÃO JORGE | Island Products | Azores Top 10 Things To Do
The only coffee plantation in Europe is located on the island of São Jorge, Azores, and has sufficient production to supply the plantation’s coffee shop called “Café Nunes”, in Fajã dos Vimes, where people from all around the world come to try the bold taste of the local expresso.
The plantation of Manuel Nunes is just behind his coffee shop and has between 350 and 400 plants. When he first bought the land 35 years ago, there were only half a dozen trees, and every year he has been able to increase the production by a small percentage.
Without revealing how much the annual production is, Manuel Nunes says it is enough for the cafes he sells in his establishment, located in one of the 70 “fajãs” of São Jorge, which is classified as a Biosphere Reserve by Unesco.
The São Jorge fajãs - are flat peninsulas that resulted from the accumulation of debris following earthquakes or lava flows from the volcanic eruptions. These lands have been prefeered over the past centuries for agriculture because of the unique microclimate
The coffee plants initially arrived in São Jorge by the hand of an emigrant from Brazil in the nineteenth century. The plants have thrived in the microclimate of the fajãs. Although there are plants in several fajãs, only Manuel Nunes has a plantation for production.
