Münster is a city in western Germany. It’s known for the 13th-century St. Paulus Dom cathedral, built in the Gothic and Romanesque styles. Prinzipalmarkt square is framed by gabled houses, the Gothic city hall, and late medieval St. Lamberti Church.
The gardens of baroque Schloss Münster palace include greenhouses of the Botanical Garden. The Pablo Picasso Art Museum features a collection of the painter’s lithographs.

Münster, Germany: Beautiful Places To Visit In The Westphalian City [Travel Video]
Another beautiful German city to add to the list! We got the chance to explore Münster (sometimes written Muenster), a historic university town full of life, charm, and bikes!
Known for the gorgeous Altstadt (Old Town), Rathaus (Town Hall), and Münster Dom (Cathedral), Münster is a city that we absolutely loved exploring. We even got the chance to have a coffee and lunch near the the main street/marketplace (Prinzipalmarkt) just taking in the city life!

Our visit to the city of Münster in Germany
A quick look at a historic city, in the northwest of Germany, in the Westphalia region, that is full of charm & culture.
Our walking tour is a look at the highlights of Münster from the Rathaus with its Hall of Peace (Friedenssaal), across to 13th-century Münster Dom, also known as St. Paulus Cathedral, with its 16th-century Astronomical Clock that we can hear chiming. A short stroll before we reach the Überwasserkirche, and the streets that double as the set of the popular German TV detective series “Wilsberg”.
We then explore the lanes of Kreuzstraße with its many bars before heading back to St Lamberti Church, and discover more of the city including stunning views from café “1648” before checking out the exquisite interior of Clemenskirche.
We then return to Prinzipalmarkt and onto the Carillon (glockenspiel) on Nonhoff House. Then we touch on the places of interest you will want to visit if you are staying in Münster, such as the LWL - Museum for Art and Culture, Stadtmuseum Münster and the Pablo Picasso museum.
We end up our visit with the Tower Keeper of Münster and climbing the 300 steps of St Lamberti Church, but it was well worth it.

Münster in 5 minutes ???? Beautiful student city with a historic city center
Münster is a destination for young people. The city has been honoured several times for its high quality of life. Most people travel here by bike, for example on the five-kilometer-long promenade or around the lake Aasee.
The historic city center around Prinzipalmarkt is a popular postcard image. Münster's historic town hall is known as one of the most beautiful Gothic buildings in Germany. St. Lamberti is the city's landmark. From the church tower, Münster's tower keeper, Martje Saljé, watches over residents and visitors.
The people of Münster are very warm and cheerful. You can feel this throughout the city. Just outside the city is the Allwetterzoo. Almost 3,000 animals live here.

Walking in MÜNSTER / Germany ????????- 4K 60fps (UHD)
Münster / Germany (engl. also: Muenster) is a city North Rhine-Westphalia. It originated as a monastery founded in 794. Now Münster is known for its university and as an administration centre. The city has a13th-century St. Paulus Dom cathedral and a reconstructed city center with the historical city hall and the Prinzipalmarkt.
We start our Münster tour at the central train station which is located East of the city center. We walk around 5 minutes westwards and see the Dom another 5 minutes later. The nice Prinzipalmarkt is busy on this September afternoon.
We walk further West and finally up North to see the outskirts of the center. In the more residential Buddenturm area we see more of the non-touristic side of Münster before we return to the cathedral. The eastern area of Münster with Alter Steinweg has many restaurants.
We complete our route by returning to the central train station and end our autumn / fall walking tour through one of the nicest cities in Germany.

Zwischendurch wechselt er auch mal das Gefährt: Er rast mit einem Strandsegler, einem segelgetriebenen Kart, das bis zu 100 km/h schnell werden kann, über die Sandbank des Borkumer Strands. Auf dem Festland spielt er den Vorkoster für die Seehunde in der Robbenstation in Norddeich.
Die Region um Emsmündung und Dollart besticht durch die Nachbarschaft der Niederlande mit dem deutschen Ostfriesland. Heute stehen sich die Friesen auf beiden Seiten der Landesgrenzen nah. Die deutsch-niederländische Geschichte der Region war jedoch nicht immer so friedvoll. Jahrhundertelang war die Gegend rund um die Emsmündung und den Dollart umkämpft. Teile des Dollarts, die Meeresbucht an der Grenze zwischen Deutschland und den Niederlanden, wurden im 17. Jahrhundert durch Eindeichungen trockengelegt, und so entstanden neue Ländereien, die von beiden Nationen genutzt wurden. Im Jahr 1648 wurde der Westfälische Frieden geschlossen, der den jahrzehntelangen Krieg zwischen den europäischen Mächten beendete. Die Region rund um den Dollart wurde dabei als gemeinsames Gebiet von Deutschland und den Niederlanden definiert, das von beiden Seiten genutzt werden konnte. In der Folgezeit kam es jedoch immer wieder zu Streitigkeiten und Konflikten zwischen den beiden Ländern, insbesondere im Hinblick auf die Schifffahrtsrechte. Erst im Jahr 1960 wurde der Ems-Dollart-Vertrag geschlossen, der die Zusammenarbeit in verschiedenen Bereichen regelte. Insbesondere die Nutzung der Ems als Schifffahrtsroute wurde dabei neu geregelt. Der Vertrag gilt bis heute als wichtiger Meilenstein in den deutsch-niederländischen Beziehungen. 2014 wurde dieser Vertrag zuletzt nochmal erweitert.

Ausflugsziel im Münsterland - Der Aussichtsturm in Sendenhorst (April 2020)

Weil das schöne Ausflugsziel der Aussichtsturm in Sendenhorst selbst im Bekanntenkreis keiner kannte, wollte ich davon mal ein kurzes Video posten.
Man sieht den Turm nicht von Weitem wenn man durch Sendenhorst fährt, daher ist er wohl auch eher den Ortsansässigen bekannt.
Mit dem Fahrrad sind das aus Münster pro Strecke ca. 20 Kilometer, die man bequem zu 95% auf dem Radweg zurücklegen kann.
Wenn ihr in Sendenhorst angekommen seid, biegt einfach in die Strasse beim Hallenbad Richtung Jugendherberge Im Himmelreich ab.
Dort fahrt ihr die Strasse runter und nehmt die erste Abfahrt wieder links und schon seid ihr da.

Der Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord ist ein etwa 180 Hektar großer Landschaftspark rund um ein stillgelegtes Hüttenwerk in Duisburg Meiderich, der im Rahmen der Internationalen Bauausstellung Emscher Park entstand. Der Landschaftspark ist einer der Ankerpunkte der Europäischen Route der Industriekultur sowie der Route der Industriekultur im Ruhrgebiet. Die britische Tageszeitung The Guardian zählt den Landschaftspark Nord zu den zehn besten Stadtparks der Welt.
