The Castle of Schoten is a castle in the Antwerp municipality of Schoten. The first mention of the Court of Schoten dates back to 1232. The Castle has a rather striking resemblance to the smaller Castle Bouvigne in the Dutch city of Breda, yet there is no known relationship between the two castles. In 1548, the construction of the original castle started, in 1611 the final reconstruction of the castle was done, giving it its present form.
The Castle is located in the park of Schoten and is surrounded by a moat, a falcon tower and a large farm barn the Riddershoeve that is now a café and restaurant. they are also part of the Castle grounds. The public park has sports facilities, a children's playground and a small animal farm. You can find the castles at this address: Kasteeldreef 61, Schoten.

Gaasbeek Castle (French: Château de Gaasbeek, Dutch: Kasteel Gaasbeek), today a national museum, is located in the municipality of Lennik in the province of Flemish Brabant, Belgium.

You will not believe in what you see!!! The beautiful place of Belgium, magnificent castle, spectacular landscapes, art, lake and ducks.

The fortified castle was erected around 1240 to defend the Duchy of Brabant against the County of Flanders.

At the beginning of the 16th century the Dominium of Gaesbeeck was inherited by the House of Hornes; they constructed a brick castle on the ruins of the medieval fortress. In 1565 Lamoral, Count of Egmont, acquired the castle and its domain, including feudal rights in 17 surrounding villages. Accused of high treason by Philip II of Spain, the Count of Egmont was beheaded three years later.

In the following centuries the castle was inhabited by several noble lords.

Since 1980 the castle has been owned by the Flemish Community (Vlaamse Gemeenschap).

The castle contains impressive art collections displayed in lavishly decorated historical rooms. A remarkable collection piece is the authentic testament of the famous painter Peter Paul Rubens The castle and its grounds (a park of 50 hectares or 124 acres) are open to the public.
