Tour with the Pied Piper of Hameln
On the the Northwest Germany tour we had some fun with the Pied Piper in the beautiful historic town of Hameln.
GERMANY: Schwalenberg village - panoramic views
Schwalenberg is popular with tourists, who come to the rolling hills to see the Burg (now a hotel-restaurant), the 16th-century town hall, and the half-timbered houses lining the cobblestone main street.
The village is located in the Lippe district, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is situated approx. 20 km east of Detmold.
Schwalenberg was probably founded in the 10th century. The early history of the town is linked to the fortunes of the Count of Schwalenberg, the medieval lord of the castle.
In the municipal reorganization of the early 70's, Schwalenberg joined forces with its neighbor Schieder to form the town of Schieder-Schwalenberg.

Lost Place: das unberührte Freizeitzentrum - Night Riders Urbex
Seit D-Mark-Zeiten verlassen, verfällt das alte Freizeitzentrum nahezu unbemerkt. Mit Schwimmbad, Sauna, Restaurant, Kegelbahnen, Billardzimmer, Tennis- und Sportplätzen bot das heute von einem Wäldchen überwucherte Freizeitzentrum eine ganze Menge.
Durch den dichten Baumbewuchs ist das Freizeitzentrum sehr versteckt und auch auf aktuellen Satellitenkarten nicht mehr auszumachen. Wir mussten ungewöhnlicherweise Innenaufnahmen für das Thumbnail verwenden, auf unseren Außenaufnahmen ist fast nur Wald zu sehen ;-).
Vielen Dank an Dirk für den tollen Tipp - ohne Dich hätten wir diesen Ort nie gefunden!
Es gibt keinen Vandalismus (außer der Glasscheibe, über die wir Zutritt erhalten konnten), darum möchten wir den genauen Ort nicht in der Beschreibung benennen. Zu malerisch ist der ausschließlich durch Wasserschäden bedingte Verfall, kein einziges Graffito zerstört die Stimmung - und das soll trotz dieses Videos gern so bleiben.
