-The provincial capital is Pakse City.
- Champasak Province has the Mekong River flowing through.
- Total area:15,415 km2.
-Total population (2015 census): 694,023; Density 45/km2.
-The ethnic composition consists mainly of Lao, but also Chieng, Inthi, Kaseng, Katang, Kate, Katu, Kien Lavai, Laven, Nge, Nyaheun, Oung, Salao, Suay, Tahang, and Tahoy ethnic groups, as well as ethnic Vietnamese.
-Currency: Only Laotian Kip is allowed to pay.

During our Southern travels in Laos we stopped to visit the town of Tad Lo. About 49 miles (79km) Northeast of Pakse, Laos. 418 miles (673km) South of Vientiane, Laos. In the Salavan Province.
The 'Tad Lo Waterfalls' are are considered a series of 3 waterfalls in the Bolaven Plateau: Tad Hang falls (near the bridge), Tad Lo falls (~1km from town), and Tad Suong (~10km from town).
The Tad Hang Waterfalls were beautiful to see. They are the gentlest of the 3 and easiest to access. There are lodges, guesthouses, and bungalow available nearby.
