This summer we had the chance to visit Halifax in partnership with Tourism Nova Scotia, and over the course of our visit, we went on some fun and unusual tours and also hit up some of the city’s must-visit attractions.
In this video we’ll tour the recently opened George’s Island and venture deep into the tunnels, we’ll go on a spooky after-hours ghost tour of the citadel, we’ll sail aboard Tall Ship Silva as we sample local Nova Scotia wines, we’ll explore the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic where we’ll learn more about the Titanic and the Halifax Explosion, we’ll ride a colourful amphibious vessel known as the Harbour Hopper, and a whole lot more.

Sackville is a town in southeastern NB, Canada. The parks, trails and nature preserves are some of the best in the world. It is home to Mount Allison University. Mount Allison has been recognized by Maclean’s as the top primarily undergraduate university in Canada 23 times in the past 32 years.

Driving to Sackville NB. It's a small town, established by the French in the early 1670's. It's in South Eastern NB, next to the NS border. It is on the Tantramar River, which empties into Chignecto Bay, a sub-basin of the Bay of Fundy. It's home to Mount Allison University. A very nice community.

One of the largest cities in New Brunswick, Moncton is at the end of the narrow Petitcodiac River estuary. 48 Hours in Halifax - Historic Halifax Citadel, HMS Sackville and more!
In part 2 of my 48 hour trip to Halifax, Nova Scotia, I experience the Citadel Halifax which is a old fortress to protect the Halifax Harbour, though never had to enter active service, it serves as an amazing landmark to showcase what early Canadian military had to do to protect its new outpost.
A quick jaunt through the Public Garden which is a victorian era public park and then a self guided tour of the HMS Sackville and a quick hop to Dartmouth for a Halifax Lobster Roll from Evan's Seafood.
Thank you for coming with me on this journey, I learned a lot and can't wait to bring you to more destinations in Canada and abroad and things to do and see here in my home city of Toronto!
