Nagalapuram Falls | Trekking Place near Chennai | Weekend Travel Vlog | FairyFork
Nagalapuram Falls is a waterfall which is located in Chithoor District in Andhra Pradesh. It offers a great trekking opportunity as you go into the forest in the Eastern Ghats. The trek is very scenic and you can see streams flowing along the trek route. There are 3 waterfalls you come across and each of them has a pool next to it which is great to stop everywhere for a swim!
Places you can visit while you visit Nagalapuram :
1. Vedanarayana Temple or Matsya Narayana Temple - a Vaishnava temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu in the form of Matsya, the fish avatar, who is referred to as Matsya Narayana or Veda Narayana. This is one of the few temples in India where Lord Vishnu is depicted in Matsya avatar, the first incarnation of the Dashavatara, Lord Vishnu's 10 main incarnations.
Note :
1. Carry enough water and snacks
2. There will be lot of red ants while trekking
3. Few rocks are slippery so make sure you wear good and sturdy shoes
4. Follow the arrows for directions which will be on rocks. Click pictures of the place for reference which will help you while returning
5. Don't go solo if you are not a professional trekker/ solo traveler

Sullurpet Chengalamma Temple History:
Sullurpet Chengalamma Temple History in Telugu - Legend goes that in the nearby river, some children who were swimming found the chengalamma idol and took it to the present site. Periodically, there will be festivals called tirunallu. During this moment, thousands of individuals from neighbouring villages are involved.
A goat is tied for one day to one end of the pole during this 'tirunallu' and is circled in the air in front of the temple. This method is called sullu, hence the name Sullurpeta. Besides the 'sullu,' there is also 'teppotsavam' where the idol of Sri Chengalamma will be performed on a teppa, a ship, in the Kalangi river, which flows near the temple. Also involved in Tirunallu are Mahishasura Mardini and fireworks.

Super Tada falls near chennai trekking area
From Chennai to Tada falls around 90 km. Tada falls also called as a Ubbalamadugu Falls in chittoor district. The ideal place for Chennai peoples to enjoy trekking for one day trip.
The falls are located in a dense forest and located within the Kambakam hills. It’s very popular destination for trekking, picnicking and climbing. The terrain that surrounds the falls includes rocky hill formations and lush forests interspersed with a number of streams.

Tada Waterfalls Travel area
Tada falls is becoming famous among residents from Chennai for trekking. You can park the Vehicle near Tada falls parking lot and follow the trail to trek to the Tada falls. Total trek is almost of 10 km through rough patches and rocky terrains. Novice hikers can trek along a 3 Km long trail one way that snakes along a clear stream of water. Mid-level trekkers can go further up, climbing the boulders to reach the base of the falls. Though the trail can be a little exhausting, there are multiple water pools along the trail and the area has good green cover making it a pleasant hike.Here is the trekking guide for adventure lovers

Ubbalamudugu Falls (also called Tada Falls) is a waterfall located near Oneness Temple and Sricity in the Chittoor district of India. It is a crystal clear waterfall falling from a height of 100-odd meters making it a glorious sight.[1] Coming under the Buchinaidu kandriga and Varadaiahpalem mandals the falls are located 80 kilometres (50 mi) from Chennai and 35 kilometres (22 mi) from Srikalahasti
The falls are located in a dense forest called the Siddulaiah Kona. The relation to Shiva ensures that the festival of Maha Shivaratri is a common time for people to visit.
