Day trip to Isle of Wight | Places to visit in the UK

Hello buddies!!!
In this video, we have captured our day trip to Isle of Wight - Chair lift, Needle point, Alum Bay beach and Sandown beach.

We have booked star tours for this trip. You can also find different tours for this trip like Sun tours, Dil Se, Angel tours etc. Price varies from 50 to 70 pounds per person.

The Isle of Wight is an island off the south coast of England. It’s known for its beaches and seafront promenades such as sandy Shanklin Beach and south-facing Ventnor Beach, which is dotted with vintage beach huts. Dinosaur remains and fossils can be seen in areas like Compton Bay and Yaverland Beach. On the island’s western point, The Needles are 3 huge, white chalk rocks, guarded by a 19th-century lighthouse.

Ryde Isle of Wight (iow): Living on a Small British Island in Rural Britain

In this video vlog review, I show you my hometown of Ryde Isle of Wight. which I have spent almost 2 decades of my life living on.
Ryde is a popular tourist destination with gorgeous beaches and a population of 25,000 - 32,000. The isle of wight more generally often gets over 1 Million tourists a year and has some huge events like Carnivals, the largest Scooter rally in the UK and the Isle of Wight Music Festival.

Ryde has amazing beaches, a huge number of shops and restaurants of all kinds from chains like Dominoes, KFC, Subway and maccies to local Chinese, Italian, Indian, fish and chip shops, British Pubs and more!
It is also quite a cheap place to visit and stay in, after you get past the extortionately expensive car ferrys that is.

ENG:
Ryde is an English seaside town and civil parish on the north-east coast of the Isle of Wight. The built-up area had a population of 23,999 according to the 2011 Census and an estimate of 24,847 in 2019. Its growth as a seaside resort came after the villages of Upper Ryde and Lower Ryde were merged in the 19th century, as can still be seen in the town's central and seafront architecture. The resort's expansive sands are revealed at low tide. Their width means the regular ferry service to the mainland requires a long listed pier – the fourth longest in the United Kingdom, and the oldest surviving.

From Visit Isle Of Wight:

With long, spacious stretches of sandy beach, a thriving independent shopping scene and fabulous eating out, Ryde is a quirky mix of a traditional seaside fun, Victorian architecture and unexpected hidden gems!

One of the UK's original seaside destinations and much loved by Queen Victoria, a trip on the FastCat or Hovercraft is part of the joy of a visit to Ryde. The town is easy and quick to get to from the mainland - it's perfect for a day out or short break. If you're already on the Island you'll find Ryde easy to reach by bus, train, car and on foot and bicycle.

If you’re looking for a sandy beach, Ryde is the place!

To the east of the pier, Appley Beach is one of the finest on the Isle of Wight. It’s a 20-minute flat walk from the pier past beach cafes, a small harbour and other sandy beaches.

Appley Beach is a stunning beach of fine golden sand, bordered by a lush green park with a small playground for younger children. The beach shelves gently into the sea, making it perfect for a family day out. In Summer the tide laps in over the hot sand, and the water is some of the warmest on the Island. In winter it’s the perfect place for splashing about in wellies.

Appley Tower sits on the edge of the sand casting a magical golden spell over days spent building sandcastles, splashing and swimming.

Keep heading east and you’ll find more sandy beaches and Puckpool Park with tennis courts, crazy golf and a playground.

To the west of Ryde Pier, the beach is more accessible at low tide. It’s a great place to watch the sunset and a super spot for beachcombing - there's usually a jewel or two of sea glass to be found here!

The beaches of Ryde are also a haven for birds including the elusive sanderling.

The flat walk along the seafront is made for strolling, especially if you’re less mobile or have children, scooters and buggies in tow. Stop off for an ice cream or a glass of something on route – there's lots of space and plenty of places to rest and enjoy the views across the sea to the mainland.

Wander further along to the east and you'll come across Appley Tower. This magical tower on the beach is actually a coastal folly built in 1875 by Sir William Hutt. It's the perfect backdrop for a seaside selfie especially at sunrise! The walk will take you about 25 minutes from the 'dry end' of the pier.

To the west you can follow the coastal path slightly inland until you reach the Benedictine monastery of Quarr Abbey in the other direction.

East or west, both routes are suitable and safe for cycling.

If warm sands and sea don't tempt you, head inland from Ryde's transport connections and take a slow meander up Union Street into the heart of the town. You'll go slow because it's a hill and because you'll want to go in every boutique you see! Stopping for a coffee won't be a problem as Ryde's shops handily intermingle with some great cafes, bars and restaurants.

Ryde is just a short crossing from the mainland. From Portsmouth Harbour (connects with trains from London and the south coast) take the Wightlink FastCat to the 'wet end' of Ryde Pier. The crossing takes around 22 minutes. On arriving at the pier head, take the train down the pier or enjoy the stroll into Ryde town centre - the pier is about half a mile long.

Hovertravel at Southsea can get you to the Island in 10 minutes, and you'll be flying across the sea on the world's only passenger hovercraft service. Connect with mainland train services using the hoverbus service or coaches.

Southern Vectis have a busy bus station at Ryde, with different routes around the town and across the Island.

ISLE OF WIGHT ENGLAND TRAVEL VLOG pt. 2 ◆ The Needles, St. Catherine's Oratory, Ryde, & Rainbows!

[Filmed October 10, 2020] PLEASE NOTE: The Isle of Wight was in Tier 1 at the time this video was filmed, which meant there were no restrictions on travel apart from not traveling to other UK areas that were in higher tiers. We had already completed our two-week travel quarantine in strict accordance with UK govt rules, and we stringently practiced hands-face-space safety precautions.

With that, the UK is in a lockdown on the date this video is being released. As a result, some activities that you will watch us do are not currently possible, and we are not promoting that you do them until they are deemed safe in the future.
_____________________________________________________________________

Continuing our day-trip to the Isle of Wight, Derek and I leave Osborne House and head to the Needles Landmark Attraction.

We weave our way through some carnival crowds (albeit they were much smaller crowds than we'd likely have found in the summertime!), and got a peek at the Needles and the colorful sand beach!

We then drove down the road to St. Catherine's Oratory and climbed the endless hill to check out the beautiful medieval lighthouse!

We finished our day with a drive back to the north side of the island with a rainbow following us the whole time! Once in the lovely city of Ryde, we labored valiantly to track down some dinner before getting back on the Wightlink ferry to Portsmouth.

Hope you enjoy this vlog! Happy travels!

Isle of Wight Tour with Mike Bogatyrev

Isle of Wight is an incredibly beautiful Island in the south of England. The natural setting and the views on the English Channel it provides is magnificent.
In this video you will see the Needles: an array of chalk cliffs forming a beautiful group together with the light house, Alum Bay with its ever changing coloured sands, ancient ruin which looks like a rocket made of stone and the Military road: the road that runs by the seaside showing the spectacular views on the chalk cliffs and the sea.
Isle of Wight is a perfect place for staycation or a long weekend.
