Frankfurt, a central German city on the river Main, is a major financial hub that's home to the European Central Bank. It's the birthplace of famed writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, whose former home is now the Goethe House Museum. Like much of the city, it was damaged during World War II and later rebuilt. The reconstructed Altstadt (Old Town) is the site of Römerberg, a square that hosts an annual Christmas market.
Germany is a Western European country with a landscape of forests, rivers, mountain ranges and North Sea beaches. It has over 2 millennia of history. Berlin, its capital, is home to art and nightlife scenes, the Brandenburg Gate and many sites relating to WWII. Munich is known for its Oktoberfest and beer halls, including the 16th-century Hofbräuhaus. Frankfurt, with its skyscrapers, houses the European Central Bank.

The red, neo-Gothic Market Church on Schlossplatz is flanked by the neoclassical City Palace, seat of State Parliament. Museum Wiesbaden displays expressionist paintings by Alexej von Jawlensky and natural history exhibits.

After stopping at Limberg and having a short look around their old town we took a short drive to Runkel Castle and went on the self-tour. At this time it cost 4 euro each. I thought it was worth it. You get to see quite a bit in the castle and the view from the tower is very nice.
Runkel is on the Lahn River just outside of Limberg in Hesse, Germany: Schloßplatz 2, 65594 Runkel, Germany.
I used a gimbal to steady the iPhone as I was walking in and out of the castle.

Dresden travel vlog | Runkel castle | biggest artwork in the world | van life
As we make our way into Poland, we stop in Runkel and Dresden.
We are totally blown away by the 'Procession of Princess'- the largest mural artwork in the whole world as well as some local food aka curry wurst. We put Dresden on our top places to visit in Germany as it is truly magical. It is hard to believe that nearly 85% of the city was destroyed by bombing during the war and then rebuilt with such precision that you would swear those buildings have always been there.
We will also show you the chaos of living in a tiny space and what travelling between two destinations look like in practice.
