Includes a walk around the lake and the town followed by a short hike to the famous chapel of Riedersteinkapelle and then upto the peak of Baumgartenschneid for some stunning views of the alps, before returning to the lake for some sunsets and timelapses.

Walking Around Germany's Most Expensive And Beautiful Place | Tegernsee Germany 4k
Tegernsee city is located in the Tegernsee valley, on the eastern shore of Lake Tegernsee in the Oberland and on the northern edge of the Alps. The entire lake including the only island (Ringseeinsel) is part of the urban area. Around four kilometers east of the city center is the 1448 meter high Baumgarten Schneid on the municipal boundary to Rottach-Egern.
The neighboring communities are Gmund in the north and Rottach-Egern in the south. Bad Wiessee is located on the western shore of Lake Tegernsee. In the east, the Tegernsee municipal area borders on the area of the municipality of Schliersee. However, Schliersee cannot be reached directly from Tegernsee by any public road.
The Alpbach flows through the city center. The municipal boundary between Tegernsee and Rottach-Egern runs partly along the Rottach.

WALLBERG | Rottach-Egern | A Day Trip from MUNICH
This movie is a collection of our photos and videos on our visit to the Wallberg mountain in the month of October 2022.

*Wallberg* (1722 m) is a famous mountain situated in the Bavarian state, near Munich, Germany. This mountain is a nature's heaven as it is surrounded by spectacular views of Bavarian Alps, alpine pastures and the lake Tegernsee. It is also considered as the *Bavaria's Sunshine mountain* and offers aerial manoeuvres for the Para-gliders and Hang-gliders!
In order to reach the summit, we took the cable car from the village of Rottach-Egern (base station at 790 m). The cable car whisked us off to 1620 m in just 10 minutes. We hiked for about 30 minutes on a scenic route to reach the summit *Wallberg Gipfel* (1722 m).
Instead of taking the cable car back to the ground station, we did the 2 hour *Sommerweg* route hike, where we had to descend approx. 800 m on a well marked path!

Bavarian ticket : 26 euros (additional 8 euro per person upto 5 people)
Cable car ticket (ascent only): 14 euros/person
*Reaching Wallberg Cable Car Station from Munich*
Public transport - Take the regional train BRB-RB 57 from Munich Hbf to Tegernsee Hbf. Change here for the bus 9556 to Wallbergbahn bus stop.
Car - Drive to the Wallbergbahn parking takes about an hour from Munich.
