4. Explore Olvera Street – lvera Street is a vibrant and historic part of Downtown Los Angeles that offers visitors a chance to explore the city's Mexican heritage. One of the best things to do here is to walk around the colorful marketplace that is full of vendors selling traditional Mexican crafts, food, and souvenirs. You can sample authentic Mexican food like tacos, burritos, and churros while enjoying live music and performances by mariachi bands. The street is also home to some of the city's oldest buildings, including Avila Adobe, which dates back to 1818 and is now a museum. Please note: Several times in the video I use the word dome when I meant to use 'rotunda. When talking about a few states where the dome doesn't match the building I meant the rotunda doesn't match the building. Needless to say, I won't be starting an architecture channel anytime soon.

WASHINGTON DC - US CAPITOL BUILDING TOUR and AIR & SPACE MUSEUM #travelvlog
In this vlog, we are in Washington D.C to tour the US Capitol Building, the Library of Congress, and the most visited museum in the USA: the National Air and Space Museum.
We start our tour with a visit to the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian, which showcases the art and cuisine of American Indian people.
Next, we take a free guided tour of the Capitol Building, one of the most recognized buildings in the world. The Capitol is where Congress meets to write the laws of our nation, and where presidents are inaugurated and deliver their annual State of the Union messages.
Attached to the Capitol building is the Library of Congress where we view the Rosa Parks Exhibit, which showcases how one act of defiance (refusal to give us a seat on a bus) can create a world of change towards equality.
The National Air And Space Museum draws over 7 million tourists a year to see the iconic space crafts that marked some of the most fascinating milestones in human achievement, space exploration. The exhibit includes a hanger-like building that houses the first spacecrafts, including the Space Race Exhibit.

The Stunning Iowa State Capitol Building - One of the Best!
Visit one of the countries' most beautiful state capital buildings in Des Moines, Iowa.
The Iowa State Capitol is truly one of the most beautiful capitol buildings in the United States. Its Renaissance style gives the impression of strength and dignity combined with utility. The main dome is adorned in actual gold leaf that is reapplied every 10-15 years.
There are self-guided and docent-led tours available for the interior sections. The Rotunda is breathtaking as you look above to spot stained glass and intricate details on the ceilings.
The grand staircase wraps around with wood and marble surfaces from the ground floor towards the 1st level where you will find rooms designated for various state offices.
On the 2nd level you will find the Senate and the House chambers. The Supreme Court chamber retains its original look, although the court itself has moved to a separate building. The furniture, wall coverings and other details have kept true to their original style.
The Law Library is the crown jewel of the various rooms. The woodwork is absolutely exquisite and its spiral staircases and balcony of books are stunning. Here you will also find some of the rarest books in the state that includes a text that Benjamin Franklin printed out of his original press.
There are also many beautiful mosaics, paintings, and sculptures - all honoring the spirit and vision of the great state of Iowa.

Something that most tourists don’t know about Copenhagen’s round tower is that besides it being the perfect place to see what a toilet looked like in the 1600s, there’s a super important glass plate laid over its hollow core near the top of the tower. Go stand there, and you’ll be looking down at the geodesic midpoint of Denmark. The geo-what what what? You already know what a geodesic midpoint is, but you likely call it the Prime Meridian, the Greenwich Meridian, or zero degrees longitude. In the 1600s, there was no global consensus for mapmaking. So in Denmark, the centerpoint of scientific study was Copenhagen and specifically at the library housed in the round tower - therefore the great minds who met there used it as the midpoint of the kingdom and the world until the international standard was set in the 19th century. Today, all signs showing a distance to the capital still use the Round Tower’s centre to mark the distance. So now you know…
