Murud, popularly known as Murud Janjira is a coastal village located in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. Surrounded by ancient forts, sandy beaches, betel palms and coconut trees, this is one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in Maharashtra.
The prime attraction of this place is the Janjira Fort. The fort was constructed by the Siddi Dynasty in the 12th century. It is believed that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj tried six times to capture the fort and failed every time. It houses a mosque, many palaces, quarter for officers and a water tank. The other tourist places to visit are Murud Beach, Nawab Palace, Bassein Fort, Bassein Beach, Kasa Fort and more. Winter months from October to February are the best to visit Murud Janjira.
Murud-Janjira is the local name for a fort situated on an island just off the coastal village of Murud, in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India.

The Dhavir Temple was built by Balwantrao Vithoji More in 1849.
Roha is Center place and nearby places like Rajapuri Pali Murud Revdanda are approachable with an hour drive
The Kundalika is a river flowing from the hills of Sahyadri to the Arabian Sea. This river originates at a small town called Bhira, this river flow 24x7, resin being water output of hydroelectric power Plant. Because of water availability there are many industries in Roha like clarinet DMCC PepsiCo Sudarshan Unichem and many other.
There is new garden built besides the river and it is attraction to the travel
We have visited birth place of respected Pandurang Shastri Athavale however it was under renovation so couldn’t get inside. We covered it from outside.

Today we are going to explore the jagir of kutch ROHA FORT, This fort shows the past of Kutch also, roha fort shows the Indian art and culture which is unique and historical.
The fort is located at roha village in nakhatrana taluka. If you are a travel lover or like to see the history of India then you should come to roha fort. Roha fort covers almost 16acres area. The height of roha fort is 500 feet from the ground level and 800 feet from the sea level.
Every single day I saw people come and shooting travel videos and travel vlog and sometimes shoot Documentary film. Roha fort is one of the most famous historical places in India, Roha fort was built by Thakore noganji in the 16th century.
The atmosphere of roha is very calm and peaceful that's why the famous poet of Gujarat kalapi, wrote many romantic poems at roha hill. There are many peacocks and other birds seen here. Now the roha fort is a top tourist attraction in kutch.

Namashkar , Jay Shree Raam ???? This is Soniya From Bhuj - Kutch ( Gujarat ). Today I am going to Show you famous tourist attraction of kutch , sumri roha jagir fort .
The fort is located on the periphery of Roha village, in Nakhtrana Taluka of Kutch. It was the seat of Roha Jagir. One hundred twenty Soomra Rajput princesses sought asylum with Abda (Jagirdar of Abdasa) who died in the battle with Allaudin Khilji. Consequently, all the princesses sacrificed their lives and took samadhi here, consequently, the place came to be known as Sumari Roha.
Roha Fort is situated about 50 kilometers from Bhuj. It covers almost an area of 16 acres and it is connected by main road. Its height is 500 feet from the ground level and 800 feet from the sea level.
Roha was the leading jagir of Kutch which is also known as ‘Roha Sumari Fort’. About 52 villages are under this fort. Sahebji, the brother of Rao Khengarji – I (1510–1585) set up the Roha village and died in the battle with Raysinhji Zala. Two big tanks were made by his successor Jiyaji and a fort was built by his son Thakore Noganji.
The famous poet of Gujarat, Kalapi, wrote romantic poems at Roha hill because the atmosphere of Roha was peaceful and close to nature with many peacocks and other birds which can be seen here even now.
Roha is now a major tourist attraction of Kutch.
