A complete tour of one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Dominican Republic: Rincon Beach, Samaná.
This pristine beach on the Samaná Peninsula is considered one of the best beaches in the world, thanks to its shallow, warm, turquoise water, white sand beach and lush surroundings.
A bit of a drive from major tourist centres, Playa Rincon offers all of the world-class beach bang for your buck with significantly fewer fellow travelers.
You can reach Playa Rincon Beach by car or by boat. From Las Terrenas, the drive is an hour and forty five minutes east through the Samaná peninsula. The road is full of curves, but it is in perfect condition and offers glorious views of lush Caribbean countryside. On the way to Playa Rincon beach, you can stop in small towns like Samaná for lunch and a walk through town to more of the Dominican Republic’s seemingly inexhaustible supply of gorgeous beaches.
When you get nearer to Playa Rincon Beach, signs indicate which direction to take.

Rincon Beach, mentioned among the five most beautiful beaches of the world, is located in a remote part of the Dominican Republic between two well-known capes (Cabos): Cabo Cabron and Cabo Samana.
Located on the Samana Peninsula, between “Cabo Cabron” and “Cabo Samana,” this magnificent bay with white sands is one of the five most beautiful beaches in the world. A small river called “Caño Frio” passes the bay, and you may enjoy a refreshing bath in its’ cool water.
This stunning emerald-colored river doubles as a popular natural swimming pool where it meets the ocean on the western end of Playa Rincón. Residents and visitors love to cool off here, before or after enjoying fresh fish and lobster–cooked on nearby fire hearths by multiple food vendors–away from the tourist throngs on the eastern side of the beach. Walking farther back from the ocean following the river, you’ll end up in the denser forest, where Río Caño Frío’s mangrove-lined waters turn turquoise, even crisper and fresher. You’ll think you’ve found the Garden of Eden.

We start out the video in a LOCAL and AUTHENTIC Dominican restaurant where I tried YAROA. The next destinations are PLAYA RINCON and the CANO FRIO, a gorgeous salt water river next to the beach.
