10 Best Cities to Live in Texas

What are the best cities to live in Texas? In 2021, the United States as a whole grew about 1.5 percent. Texas saw the largest percentage increase in terms of absolute numbers and percentage, growing by 2.8%. There’s a constant desire for more space in America and that is probably one of the primary reasons that Texas is such a popular destination. Texas is growing at 1,000 people per day as reported by State Demographer Lloyd Potter. The state’s population growth is backed up by the latest world economic rankings. In a July 2015 report, the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor showed that 91 percent of the state’s CEOs say business start-ups are “a good thing for the state and its economy.” Here’s the list of the 10 best cities to live in Texas.

10. Waco
Waco has one of the highest projected job growth rates in the country over the next five years as the State of Texas and Baylor University collaborate to attract businesses to the area. It’s the first to be considered on this list of the 10 best cities to live in Texas. Waco is also expanding its options for retail, dining, and other services. In a bid to fast-track its recovery from Hurricane Harvey, Waco has continued to woo businesses and investors to the area. In the next five years, the city is expected to have a more than 10 percent job growth rate.
9. Southlake
This college town is surrounded by plenty of farmland, so there is ample space for homeowners to care for their horses and cows. Families also have opportunities to enjoy great outdoor recreational opportunities such as mountain biking, fly fishing, bird watching, and kayaking. This little coastal city is known for its oyster festivals and is famous for its beautiful beaches in Texas. The city itself is a historic river town with four miles of waterfront property.
8. Rockwall
Rockwall is a suburb of Dallas. It is walkable from the city. However, it is still not a cosmopolitan city. Its median household income of $77,654 is quite rich for Texas. Statistically also shows that it is the city with the most educated residents in the state. Rockwall has a higher rate of educated residents than anywhere else in the state. About 45.2 percent of them have a bachelor’s degree and more than half of its population either have either a university first degree or professional qualification.
7. North Richland Hills
North Richland Hills is certainly one of the best cities to live in the state of Texas. Residents of the hill country are known for their thick northern Dallas County, Hill County, and Edwards Plateau vegetation, year-round moderate temperatures, and scenic but challenging landscape. The long, narrow, rolling terrain creates a lovely, slow pace and intimate communities that are easily lovable.
6. Wimberley
The hills are a scenic backdrop to this quaint tourist town, home to world-class golf and cool indie shops. For all would-be-rescuers and naturalists, Wimberley has it all: rodeos, live music, and hot springs. If you prefer to be at the water's edge, check out Barton Springs, one of the largest spring pools in the world. If you love food, you'll love the Tex-Mex, gourmet coffee, barbecue, and Tex-Asian cuisine. For these and other reasons, Wimberley is one of the best places in Texas.

10 Cities in Texas You Should Move To

What are the best cities to live in Texas? If you’ve not seen the TV show “Dallas,” which aired from 1978 to 1993, you’ve probably heard about it. What about another hit show, Knots Landing, of the mid-1980s? This video will show you the 10 cities in Texas where millions of people move to that you too can join if you need to. You must know, however, that the most populous cities may no longer be among the Texan cities you need to move to. Houston, with its nearly 2 million population as the third-largest city in the US is a newcomer, for example, and wouldn’t be found on this list. Now, let me show you the 10 cities in Texas you should move to.

10. Wimberley
For the purpose of this video, let us list Wimberley in Hays County, alongside cities in Texas you should move to and make it our starting point. This present home of poet Nathan Brown has something for all. Why you should move to Wimberley Wimberley is just the right fit for physical and emotional health. Here is a place you will always be greeted by winding streets, a charming historic downtown, and where you have plenty of activities. Once you get a taste of its relaxed lifestyle, you will be hooked! There are lots of homes to suit a wide range of budgets. This is a great place to live if you want to slow down and soak in all a peaceful city has to offer.

9. League City
League City, in Galveston County, within the Greater Houston metropolitan area is the next on the list of the 10 cities in Texas you should move to. This city is 23 miles equidistance to Houston and Galveston. Why you should move to League City League City is a quaint city with quiet streets, beautiful architecture, affordable living costs, and an adorable downtown. You can spend less here compared with other cities that offer a similar standard of living. House prices are cheaper than in the other areas in the state of Texas. You can save some money on energy costs, there’s no state income tax.

8. Rockwall
Rockwall a city in Rockwall County, which is part of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, and the county seat of Rockwall County, may not be the flashiest city in Texas. Yet, it’s certainly got the history. It is one of the 10 cities in Texas you should move to. Why you should move to Rockwall Rockwall has a lengthy list of historic attractions and historic homes that you can choose from. It’s not for nothing that it’s counted among the most popular places and most charming cities to live in Texas. However, what is drawing people to Rockwall is more than its historical charm because that's not all it has to offer. Rockwall has ever-expanding job opportunities for part-time job seekers or those desiring work-from-home opportunities.

7. Grapevine
Grapevine, a city and a suburb of Dallas and Fort Worth in northeast Tarrant County, is a city with an area of less than 20 square miles. Some minor portions of Grapevine extend into Dallas County and Denton County. You can consider living in this city if you are moving to Texas. Why you should move to Grapevine Grapevine is bursting at the seams with cool things to do. If you are looking for a fun, hip place to live in Texas offering great restaurants, incredible parks, bike paths, and really wonderful shopping, here is it. If you are a wine lover, you’ll enjoy the Texas Wine Festival. If you are an athlete or tennis player, you will love the city’s Wilkerson and Omni tennis centers.

[4K] Downtown Fort Worth, Texas USA - Virtual Walking Tour & Travel Guide ???? Binaural City Sounds

Fort Worth is the 5th largest city in the U.S. state of Texas and the 13th-largest city in the United States. Fort Worth is the second-largest city in the Dallas–Fort Worth–Arlington metropolitan area, which is the fourth-most populous metropolitan area in the United States.

The city of Fort Worth was established in 1849 as an army outpost on a bluff overlooking the Trinity River. Fort Worth has historically been a center of the Texas Longhorn cattle trade. It still embraces its Western heritage and traditional architecture and design. USS Fort Worth (LCS-3) is the first ship of the United States Navy named after the city. Although considered by some to be a satellite city due to its proximity to Dallas, which has held a population majority since the 1950s, Fort Worth has become one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States in recent years, particularly in the 21st century, and has more than doubled its population in the last 30 years.

Downtown Fort Worth is the central business district of Fort Worth, Texas, United States. Most of Fort Worth's tallest buildings and skyscrapers are located downtown.
