The Ronde Put attracts many birds of prey such as buzzard, sparrowhawk, goshawk, harrier harrier, tree falcon, kestrel, and also the osprey when they migrate. The Watering

In the Watering you can only walk on the path along the highway. It connects to the Reties Goor (de Graaf) and to the nature reserve De Goorbossen in Retie. This is part of the Kempense Lakes hiking network.

Traject: 140 – 138 – 40 – 41 – 43 – 94 – 136 – 93 – 95 – 96 – 139 – 140
Grotendeels onverharde paden. Niet toegankelijk voor kinderwagens en rolstoelen.
Deze wandeling door het Kempense landschap zit vol variatie en verrassing.
De korte versie is geknipt voor kinderen: 3,5 kilometer stap- en speelplezier.
Met zones om te ravotten, mét respect voor moeder natuur.
De lange versie is een droom voor ‘grote kinderen’ die zich willen laven aan de schoonheid van de heide. Zo ontdek je de kronkelende Witte Nete, die de Retiese watermolen aandrijft. En je ontdekt de Beverdonkse Heide: een lappendeken van bossen en open vlaktes, weilanden en akkers.
Net voor knooppunt 93 maak je eventueel een ommetje naar de gedenkstee van Halifax (1 extra kilometer heen en terug). Ook de Schaapschoorbrug ligt op de route.

Er bestaan in Wallonië ook zeer sportieve en sensationele wandeltochten die zorgen voor een adrenaline-opstoot. Deze van Les Echelles in Rochehaut zal u aangenaam verrassen! Dit is een wandeltocht voor een ervaren publiek en enkel voor personen zonder hoogtevrees. Maak de wandeling zeker niet na forse regenval, want de afdaling kan dan zeer glibberig zijn.
Vanuit Rochehaut verraadt de gemoedelijke route door de velden niets van het vervolg van het tracé dat de hoogte ingaat en dat men vrij fysiek mag noemen. Deze voor de Ardennen verbazende wandeling (men zou ze eerder in de Alpen verwachten) volgt een steil pad dat naar de Semois leidt, die zich hier zeer ongerept toont. U zult verrast worden door het vervolg van de tocht die u confronteert met steile rotsen. Om ze aan te pakken, zult u ladders boven een leegte moeten beklimmen: duizelingwekkend! De streek van de Semois bevat soms verbazende en buitengewone paden ...

Wandelen in Aldeneik
Vlak bij het charmante stadje Maaseik, ligt Aldeneik, de wieg van Maaseik. Achter het oude munsterkerkje uit de 11de eeuw ligt een erg mooi natuurgebied dat in ieder seizoen uitnodigt om er te wandelen of te fietsen. Wandel met ons mee de winter in, de lente door en de zomer uit. Laat ons hopen dat tegen die tijd Corona de wereld uit is. In afwachting: alvast veel kijk- en vooral veel wandel- of fietsplezier!
Près de la charmante ville de Maaseik, se trouve Aldeneik, le berceau de Maaseik. Derrière l'ancienne petite église du XIe siècle se trouve une très belle réserve naturelle, qui vous invite à marcher ou à faire du vélo en toute saison. De Ronde Put, dat is ruim 165 ha ongerepte natuur op de grens tussen Mol en Retie. Je ontdekt er een fotogenieke plas, omringd door moerassen, rietvelden, bossen en graslanden. Geniet van de heerlijke stilte en duik zeker één van de twee vogelkijkhutten in. Neem je verrekijker mee en spot zeldzame water- en roofvogels. Je wandelt ook door Kommiezenheide en langs de Postelse bossen.
Vertrek: parking abdij van Postel, Abdijlaan 10, 2400 Postel (Mol)

Bilstain, Toys for boys and girl, buitenspelen 11-1-2020
Henry van Vliet van Live and Drive Travel 4x4 reizen had ons uitgenodigd voor een dag les in Bilstain. Van 10 to 16 uur spelen met de 4x4 in Bilstain. Roel, Mike, Ditta & Bas kregen van Rob en Henry goede bruikbare aanwijzingen. De begeleiding wat optimaal, in beide auto's 1 instructeur. Na 1 ronde op harde banden, die erg lastig was. de rest van de dag op afgelaten banden gereden, dat scheelde enorm zowel in grip als comfort.

Henry van Vliet von Live and Drive Travel 4x4 trips hatte uns zu einem Tageskurs nach Bilstain eingeladen. Spielen von 10 bis 16 Stunden mit dem 4x4 in Bilstain. Roel, Mike, Ditta & Bas erhielten gute nützliche Anweisungen von Rob und Henry. Die Führung etwas optimal, bei beiden Fahrzeugen 1 Instruktor. Nach 1 Runde auf harten Reifen war das sehr schwierig. Der Rest des Tages wurde mit abgestellten Reifen gefahren, was viel Grip und Komfort sparte.
