Hello Everyone This is our Kareri Lake Trek Tour, It is located in Himachal Pradesh, Kangra District, Dhauladhar Range.We went from Delhi by HRTC bus and local transport. We are sharing our experiences from this trek so for more details please watch our Kareri Lake Trek Vlog.
During the trek we will see forest cover including mixed pine and broad leaf forests, followed by meadows covered with pine, deodar, oaks and Buransh. Buransh is the state tree of Uttarakhand, while it is also the state flower of Himachal and Nagaland. Sharbat made from Buransh flowers is considered extremely beneficial for heart patients.

How difficult is Kareri Lake Trek?
Kareri Lake is an easy to moderate level trek and an ideal expedition for anyone who has maintained a reasonable level of fitness. It offers an easy trail for the most part of the journey, however, one has to pass through pieces of ground which is filled with rocky outcrops and steep upwards hike.
Can we swim in Kareri Lake?
It is a shallow freshwater lake. During summers, one can take a swim in the lake as well. However, the lake has a different charm in the winter months when it is frozen and the path leading to it becomes covered with around 3-4 ft of snow.
How long is Kareri trek from Kareri village?
The trek from Rioti village to Kareri is about 4.5 km and can be completed in around 3-4 hours. Once at the lake, you can also hike up to Gajj, which lies at another 30 minutes from the lake
How do you get to Kareri Lake Trek?

In order to reach Kareri Lake, you will first have to reach Dharamshala or Mcleodganj, then go to Kareri Village and finally trek up to the lake. The journey hence will have to be broken down into three parts. None of the options are too difficult though.
How can I go to Kareri village from Dharamshala?
How to reach Kareri Village. The Kareri village is situated around 27 km from Dharamshala. You can easily hail taxis from Dharamshala and even Bir, Palampur, and other main centers around the region. It will take you 1.5 hours to reach Kareri from Dharamshala.

:- Kareri Lake is fresh water lake located at height of 2,934 Meter above sea level in dhauladhar range ( Dharamshala) Distt. kangra, Himachal Pradesh.
:- Total trek diatance from base point Kareri Village is 14 Km (one side)
And from Nolli Bridge is 10 Km ( One side)
:- Motorable road till Nolli Bridge.
Where to stay - Multiple homestay located at Kareri Village is budget accomodation.
