If you're looking for some top things to do in Heidelberg, Germany join us for our travel guide as we cover top attractions in the city. Today we’re showing you around this charming and historic university town situated in southwestern Germany. This was the final stop of our trip across Germany and while we only had 3 days here, we still managed to cover a lot of the main attractions in the old town.
In this video, we’ll be touring the ruins of Heidelberg Castle and exploring some of its gems which include an enormous wine barrel and the apothecary museum. We’ll wander through Heidelberg University, which happens to be the oldest university in all of Germany, and at one point had an infamous student jail. Plus, we’ll hike the Philosopher’s Way for epic sunset views, we’ll stroll along the banks of the Neckar River, and we’ll enjoy some hearty German and international dishes along the way because you already know how much we love food.

[ DE ] Ein Spontan trip vom feinsten, wir besuchen 3 Kerwe in unsere nähe. Da Beinhorn mit seinen Starlight nicht in Mannheim stande, besuchten wir ihn in Sandhausen. Nach Sandhausen machten wir uns auf dem Weg nach Rauenberg zum Hot Wheel, der letzte reisende Round Up in Deutschland. Doch das reichte uns nicht, wir wollten das neue Riesenrad vom Göbel begutachten. Also machten wir uns auf dem weg nach Neustadt an der Weinstraße. ( Germany )
[ ENG ] A Spontan trip of the finest, we visit 3 Kerwe in our area. Since Beinhorn with his Starlight was not in Mannheim, we visited him in Sandhausen. After Sandhausen we made our way to Rauenberg to the Hot Wheel, the last traveling Round Up in Germany. But that wasn't enough for us, we wanted to check out the new Ferris wheel from Göbel. So we made our way to Neustadt an der Weinstraße. ( Germany )
