North of the city, Ganpatipule Temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesh. Northeast, Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary is a forested area sheltering tigers.

Ratnagiri Fort, also called Ratnadurg Fort or Bhagawati Fort (Marathi: रत्नदुर्ग), is a fort located 2 km from Ratnagiri, in Ratnagiri district, of Maharashtra. This fort is an important fort in Ratnagiri district. The fort is a main tourist attraction due to the Bhagawati Temple inside the fort.
2 #MANDAVI_BEACH --
At a distance of 2 km from Ratnagiri Bus Stand, Mandavi Beach is located in the vicinity of Ratnagiri Town of Maharashtra. This is one of the most crowded beaches in Ratnagiri region.
3 #THIBA_POINT --
This place has baby boats for fun .a mini train ride . Trampoline amd fewnprher kids rides these are paid ones costing 20 into approximately. Also there are normally garden toys like seesaw , swing , slides etc. They have a viewing pointbftom where you can see the both the scenic beauty if the water bodies and see the houses around it.
4 #THIBA_PALACE --
This place needs better maintenance.
If you are in the city of Ratnagiri, just drop in for sometime. A very good piece of architecture.
Exteriors are good and picturesque but not many things to see, inside the Palace.
5 #BHATYE_BEACH --
The western coast of India is located between Kerala and Gujarat and extends from the Arabian Sea to the Western Ghats. Its total length is 1400 km, width ranges from 10 km to 80 km, and the elevation ranges from 150 m to 300 m above sea level.
6 #LOKMANYA_TILAK_BIRTHPLACE --
Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, who was the leader of the independence struggle is known as Father of the Indian unrest against the British rule. He was born in 1856 in Ratnagiri. Lokmanya Tilak lived for 10 years in a typical Konkani house which is situated in the Tilak colony in the centre of the city of Ratnagiri.
7 #RATNAGIRI_MARINE_FISH_MUSEUM --
At a distance of 2.5 km from Ratnagiri Bus Stand, Marine Aquarium and Museum is located on Ratnagiri - Bhagwati Mandir Road next to Mandavi Beach in Ratnagiri Town.
8 #GANPATI_TEMPLE --
The Ganesh Temple at Ganpatipule in Ratnagiri district of kokan which is located at a distance of 350 kms. from Mumbai is very ancient, right from the Peshwas. In ancient literature like Mudgal - puran etc. this Lambodara's (Ganesh) temple is being referred as Paschim Dwar-Devata (Western Sentinal God).

Patit Pawan Mandir is a Hindu temple in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, India. It was built by Shriman Bhagojisheth Keer in 1931

The western coast of India is located between Kerala and Gujarat and extends from the Arabian Sea to the Western Ghats. Its total length is 1400 km, width ranges from 10 km to 80 km, and the elevation ranges from 150 m to 300 m above sea level. It is characterized by sandy beaches, mud-flats, sand-dunes, alluvial tracts, estuaries, lagoons, residual hills and more. It lacks deltas as the short and swift rivers are not able to make deltas in this coast.

we cover all tousit places in konkan and near by konkan.There are several places to visit in Konkan Coast owing to the long coastline along the beautiful blue azure waters of the Arabian sea. While Tarkali is famous for its golden sand beaches, Harihareshwar is known for its temple and rocky Harihareshwar Beach. The famous Ganpatipule, is well known for the Ganapati temple on the shore and also its beautiful beach. Konkan nature is to beautiful in mansoon. and having a best beach in konkan or konkan village . in konkon they celebrating a konkani ranmanus also.
Another tourist place in Konkan that is well known is Alibaug. The beautiful Alibag beach is popular amongst tourists. Alibaug also has few other beaches out of which Varsoli and Nagaon Beach are well known. The Kolaba/Aligarh Fort also attracts tourists. Another must visit place in the Konkan Coast is Ratnagiri, famous for the Thiba Palace and also Ratnadurg Fort.
Tourists also love visiting Chiplun where the star attraction is Sawatsada Waterfall. Other popular places to visit on the Konkan coast are Dapoli, Murud, Kashid etc. Most of these places are also known for the water sports they offer to the tourists.

In this video you will get to see Maharashtra's Second Biggest Fishing Market - Mirkarwada, Huge Ratnadurg Sea fort spreaded in 120 acres area, Birthplace of Lokmanya Tilak famously known as The First Leader of Indian Independence Movement and a last sunset of Ratnagiri in our favourite beach Wayangani.

Chiplun in Ratnagiri district- Maharashtra is Abode of Lord parshuram also popular for lush green landscapes.There are many things you can do here as a tourist and spend one day exploring local food, waterfall and sightseeing.
We started Konkan tour on 17th sept from Mumbai and reached Goa on 2nd October, this particular video was shot on 23rd Sept at Chiplun
We stayed at Amraban Nature Resort, Rs 1700 for double occupancy. It is about 7 km from Chiplun town.
Following are the places we visited during the day
Shri Parshuram Temple - This temple is dedicated to Sage Parashurama, It an ancient temple,
We had our breakfast at the Amraban nature resort - Rs 40 for 6 PC of wade.. and rs 40 for 6 PC of Gharage
Sawant Sada Waterfall - Beautiful waterfall, you need walk for 10 mins to go closer to reach the waterfall.
We hired a boat from Gowalkot Dhakka for 1 hour 30 mins crocodile safari. Sameer - 9764878090 (Boat Owner)
Lunch at Hotel Relajh near Indian oil pump in Chiplun,
Veg thali - Rs 80 along with Chicken Sukka - Rs 100 & Wada - Rs 20 per piece
Aadarsh Dining, near post office - .After lunch we went to a restaurant in chiplun market for Modak - I tried Ukadiche Modak here, price - Rs 20 per piece
We roamed around in Chiplun market for sometime, then we proceeded towards Ganpatipule.
Ganesh Kuipa- We tried another type of modak this was around 45 km from chiplun - Hotel - They serve Flavoured Modak. Rs 100 - 330 gm
We stayed at MTDC Ganpatipule Double occupancy Suite Rs 5600. Their tariff starts from Rs 1700.

Ratnagiri, surrounded by the Sahyadri's (India's western ghats) and the Arabian Sea, The scenic beauty of Ratnagiri is mesmerizing. The region is blessed with hills, beaches, rivers, hot water springs, forests and waterfalls, that guarantee an exciting time. If you are a foodie, then the unique Konkani style of cuisine, especially fish curry and rice with Sol Kadi is a must-try!
A paradise for people interested in marine life, The town also borders an aquarium near Peth Killa, (Peth fort) that houses a skeleton of a huge whale along with many specimens of exotic fish and turtles.
However, the highlight of the town is the Ratnadurga Fort which is surrounded by the large Arabian Sea. The fort here also has an ancient lighthouse built in 1867.
Ratnagiri also played a significant role in India's freedom struggle by being the birthplace of freedom fighter Lokmanya Tilak.
Situated in pretty surroundings, Ratnagiri is blessed with hills, sea shores, creeks, beautiful rivers, hot water springs, forests and water falls and offers a rejuvenating experience to travelers.
Ratnagiri is a travelers dream come true destination with its majestic Sahyadri range and Arabian sea with virginal white beaches, cascading waterfalls, hot water springs palm groves, majestic monuments and the most famous, Alphonso mangoes. Ratnagiri has some of the magnificent forts built during the Shivaji period. Ratnagiri is also famous as the birthplace of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak who was one-third of the famous trio of Lal Bal Pal. One of the gems in Konkan region, Ratnagiri is now a big district comprising of several touristy small villages and towns and it forms for a brilliant weekend getaway from the cities of Maharashtra including Mumbai.

Places to see in Ratanagri are as below:
Ratnagiri Fort, Ratnadurg Fort or Bhagawati Fort
Ratnagiri Fort, also called Ratnadurg Fort or Bhagawati Fort, which is located around 4km in Ratnagiri district, of Maharashtra.
Timing 7am to 6pm
Shree Devi Bhagavati Temple
It’s an Centuries old temple located inside an Ratnagiri ancient fort. Deities like 'Veer Vignesh' & 'Ashtadashbhuj' sculptors are very unique.
Lokmanya Tilak Birthplace / Tilak Ali Museum
Lokmaya Bal Gangadhar Tilak or Lokmanya Tilak, born as Keshav Gangadhar Tilak, was an Indian nationalist, teacher, and an independence activist. He was born on 23rd July 1856 in this house at Ratnagiri. 1km from Ratnagiri.
Timing 9am to 6pm
Patit Pavan Mandir / Swatantra Veer Savarkar Memorial
Patit Pawan Mandir is a Hindu temple in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, India. It was built by Shriman Bhagojisheth Keer in 1931. Patit in Marathi refers to the lowest, humblest, downtrodden man in the society. Place is houses a small memorial of Swatantra Veer Savarkar.
Time 10.30 to 1pm & 3pm to 5.30pm
Thiba Palace / Thibaw Palace
Thibaw Palace is a historical building situated on a small hillock in Ratnagiri Town of Maharashtra. Thibaw palace built as the exile of the king of Burma(Myanmar) It is said that the Palace was built by the British in 1910 to keep the king of Burma under house arrest. Its located around 2km from Ratnagiri Bus stand.
Timings: 9am to 6pm & Museum 10am to 1pm & 1.30pm to 5.30pm
Thiba Point / Jijamata Udayan / Sun set point
Situated at the hem of the hill, You can have awesome view of Someshwar creek, Bhatye Bridge, Arabian Sea of beach and Sunset from hill top. A good scenic view of the sea & sunset, small garden for kids & snack options for food lovers.
Timing 9am to 9Pm,
Swayambhu Ganpati Temple - Ganptipule
At a distance of 24 km from Ratnagiri, A 400-year-old Ganesha temple, Swayambhu is built of pule which is nothing but white sand and is believed to be a self-created monolith of Lord Ganesha, allegedly discovered 1600 years ago.
Timing: 5am to 9.30pm
Ganapatipule Beach
A clean rocky beach with fine silvery white sand, the Ganapatipule beach, is also known for the lagoon it houses. If you're the adventurous kinds, you can try your hands at balancing a kayak.
Prachin Konkan Museum/ Magic Garden
Prachin Kokan is an open air Museum, with is sprawling Three Acre Area Depicting life in Ancient Kokan 500 year back. The Museum elucidates the social, economic, cultural and religious background of Konkan.
Timing 8.30am to 6pm
Karhateshwar Temple (Ancient Shiv Mandir)
Karhateshwar Temple is in vicinity to the Jaigad seashore. Surrounded by greenery and unspoilt nature. The 500 year old Shiva temple with a natural, self-formed 'pindha'. Its around 23km from Ganpatipule.
Jaigad Fort & Light House
Jaigad Fort, also known as the Fort of Victory, is a 16th-century fort that extends over an area of 13 acres in the coastal region of Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. Located near Jaigad Village and approximately 20 kms to the north-west of Ganpatipule, the remains of the fort stand steady on a cliff overlooking the Jaigad creek where River Shastri enters the vast and mesmerising Arabian Sea. A visit to the Jaigad lighthouse which was built in close vicinity to the Jaigad fort is a must.
Timings: 9am To 4.30pm
Jai Vinayak Temple
At a distance of 6km from Jaigad Fort & 13km from Ganpatipule, Jai Vinayak Temple is situated near Kachare village in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. Temple is built by JSW Energy Ltd in 2003. The temple is surrounded with the clean and beautifully maintained Garden.
Timings: 7am to 8pm
Kavi Keshavsoot Smarak
Malgund about 2 km from Ganapatipule is the birthplace of the famous Maratha poet Keshavsut and houses a memorial of the great poet.

नमस्कार मंडळी,
रत्नागिरी मधील सगळ्यात जास्त बघितली जाणारी tourists places.....
साधारणतः रत्नागिरी फिरण्यासाठी योग्य वेळ म्हणजे पावसाळ्यानंतरची आणि उन्हाळ्याच्या आधीची.....
तस म्हटले तर कोकण हे १२ महिने फिरण्यासाठी योग्य आहे पण पावसाळ्यानंतर पसरलेले ते हिरवेगार गालिचे तसेच वेगवेगळ्या रान फुलांनी बहरलेले ते मनमोहक दुर्श्य पर्यटकांना आकर्षित करते.....
१ : श्री. भैरी भुवा मंदिर
रत्नागिरी पासून अवघ्या ३.६ km अंतरावर असणारे हे मंदिर रत्नागिरीचे ग्रामदैवत आहे.
२ : गणपतीपुळे मंदिर
रत्नागिरी मधील प्रसिद्ध असणारे गणपतीचे मंदिर आहे. रत्नागिरी पासून अवघ्या २५ km अंतरावर आहे , गणपतीपुळ्याला जाताना दिसणारे आणि मंत्र मुग्ध करणारे ते निसर्ग सौंदर्य मनमोहून टाकते.
३ : थिबा पॅलेस
रत्नागिरी पासून १.५ km अंतरावर असणारा हा थिबा राजवाडा १९१० रोजी बांधण्यात आला होता .
४ : रत्नदुर्ग किल्ला
रत्नागिरी पासून ५.४ km अंतरावर असणारा हा किल्ला त्यावरील अत्यंत सुंदर भगवती मंदिरामुळे, येथून दि्सणाऱ्या समुद्राच्या विहंगम दृश्यामुळे आणि समुद्रापर्यंत जाणाऱ्या किल्ल्यातील भुयारी मार्गामुळे. रत्नदुर्ग किल्ला मन मोहून टाकतो .
५ : मांडवी समुद्र किनारा
रत्नागिरी पासून ३.६ km अंतरावर असणारा हा समुद्र किनारा पर्यटकांचे मुख्य आकर्षण आहे .
६ : पानवल रेल्वे ब्रिज
रत्नागिरी पासून १० km अंतरावर असणारा हा रेल्वे पूल २०१९ च्या आधी सर्वात उंच रेल्वे पूल होता
७ : निवळी धबधबा
रत्नागिरी पासून १८ km अंतरावर असणारा हा धबधबा हा पावसाळ्या मध्ये पर्यटकांचे आकर्षण आहे
८ : टेबल पॉईंट
रत्नागिरी पासून ६.४ km पासून असणारा हा पॉईंट डोळ्यांचे पारणे फेडणारे समुद्राचे आणि सूर्यनारायणाचे दर्शन घडवतो.
९ : कशेळी सनसेट पॉईंट
रत्नागिरी पासून ३८ km अंतरावर असणारा हा सनसेट पॉईंट सूर्यनारायणाचे अविस्मरणीय दर्शन घडवतोच, पण तिथे असणारा समुद्र किनारा पर्यटकांना आकर्षित करतो.
१० : लोकमान्य टिळक जन्म ठिकाण
रत्नागिरी पासून २.९ km अंतरावर हे लोकमान्य टिळकांचे जन्म ठिकाण आहे.
