Four highly interesting folkloric Clog dances from the Netherlands nearly a century ago in colour! Please note that the 3rd fragment is without sound.
These are the four films:
1. Clog Dance in Volendam in 1928
2. Clog Dance in Deventer in 1939
3. Clog Dance in Friesland in 1923 (no sound)
4. Clog Dance in Germany as preparation to the Olympic Games in 1936.
There is not much known about the first dance.
The second dance was recorded after the arrival in Deventer of parade of dancers from the village of Olst. Some spectators are dressed in 17th century Dutch costume. One spectator is strapped in a socalled scandpost intended to make a mockery out of him as punishment for some kind of fellony.
The third dance (without sound) was recorded en Fryske.
The fourth dance is part of a stage performance in KDF Stadt. KDF stands for Kraft Durch Freude, a kind of pleasure resort to reward workers under the Nazi regime. KDF Stadt nowadays is Wolfsburg.
These four films have been motion-stabilized, AI enhanced and AI colorized.

N35 highway, Heino - Raalte, the Netherlands (2008)
A drive on the N35 main highway in the Overijssel province between the towns of Heino and Raalte, just southeast of Zwolle. The trip is going eastbound.
What is there to do in Luttenberg?
Luttenberg. A small town in Netherlands. The pearl of Salland.
A village in the municipality of Raalte in the Dutch province of Overijssel. At the beginning of 2019 it had 2,208 inhabitants.
In the centre of the village is the Lourdes Cave is the only national monument in the town. It was founded in 1915 by the villagers at a triple jump in the village on the occasion of a priest's jubilee. At the end of the 1940s, there were joint prayers for the safe return of the twenty young men from Luttenberg who had been sent to the Dutch East Indies as conscripts. In 1975 the then dilapidated cave was completely rebuilt.

Charles Dickens Festivity - Deventer (Netherlands) 2012
As many years there was also this year with Christmas in the beautiful old city Deventer (Netherlands) a festivity about Charles Dickens. It is always a big event; about 150.000 people come to visit the city in 2 days. My husband and I have been there a few times before and it is still great to see about 900 people walking around in clothes of the time that Dickens lived. Especial the characters, the grumbler Mister Scrooge and the person that plays Toby Feck are doing a wonderful and great job! I also loved watching and listening to the choirs that were singing and of course to see many other things of the time that Charles Dickens lived! If you have the possibility to visit, then you sure should go there!

#bikepacking in the Netherlands | wild camping | forced English subs
In this video we did a two night bikepacking trip and slept on some nice spots in Overijssel, the Netherlands.
The first day started with some mild rain and transformed in snow but our gear could handle the job and it wasn't that bad.
we slept in a small forest near Haarle.
the second day we immediately noticed that Joep was abducted by a sasquatch or black eyed childeren, but Maarten and i knew that Joep would've wanted us to contineu the journey without him, instead of searching for him (i mean, how bad can it be).
so, i showed Maarten a little around in Ommen and told him about our national pride the 'nationaal tinnen figuren museum' (national tin figures museum).
we continued our journey on the banks of the Vecht and found a great sleeping spot (better than we initial looked for and couldn't reach due to there not being a ferry).
We didn't do much kilometers on this trip but it's not about the miles but about the smiles.
the last day we packed our stuff and cycles back home through Raalte..????
