România este țara cu unele dintre cele mai frumoase și spectaculoase drumuri din Europa. Dacă doriți să călătoriți cu mașina prin țară, vizitați unul dintre cele 10 drumuri montane din România care, cu siguranță vă vor oferi peisaje ce vă taie răsuflarea.
Transrarău cunoscut sub numele de Drumul Comorilor, este unul dintre cele mai frumoase drumuri alpine din România. Traversează masivul Rarău și oferă o priveliște spectaculoasă.
Transalpina reprezintă cel mai înalt drum rutier din România, dar și din întregul lanț al Munților Carpați. Astfel, ajunge la altitudinea maximă de 2145 de metri în Pasul Urdele.
Probabil cel mai cunoscut la nivel mondial, Transfăgărășan apare des în topul celor mai frumoase drumuri din lume de parcurs cu mașina.
Transbucegi a fost construit între 2010 și 2014. Drumul străbate o zona pitorească din platoul Bucegi, la 1925 metri altitudine.
Trans-Semenic traversează masivul Semenic, o zonă interesantă din vestul țării. Frumusețile Banatului montan pot fi admirate de pe șoseaua modernizată care leagă localitățile Văliug și Slatina-Timiș, ambele din Caraș Severin.
TransMurgești, drumul spectaculos peste Valea Câlnăului este defapt drumul județean 203A. Acesta are aproximativ 15 kilometri lungime și leagă municipiul Râmnicu Sărat de comuna Murgești.
Transluncani este un drum mai nou, dar la fel de spectaculos ca și celelalte șosele care ocolesc printre munți. Transluncani este un fost drum agricol, asfaltat cu ajutorul Uniunii Europene.
Transvâlcan (DJ 664) sau “Drumul lui Mihai Viteazul”, face legătura între Oltenia și Transilvania. Traversează Munții Vâlcan pe direcția S-N între localitățile Schela din Județul Gorj și Vulcan din Județul Hunedoara.
Transapuseni este un drum din Munții Apuseni, în mare parte de pământ, ce leagă Aiudul de Abrud. Nu impresionează prin altitudine ci prin peisaje verzi, văi adânci, sate rispite printre căpițe de fân și oameni plăcuți.
Transursoaia (DN1R) porneşte din localitatea Albac (Alba) şi urcă la o altitudine de 1.300 de metri, ajungând apoi până în Huedin (Cluj). Pe 80 de kilometri, şoseaua îngustă, dar suficient de lată pentru două benzi de maşină.

Zavoi Parc is one of the oldest parks in the country organized as such, coming into being through the Royal Office issued by the ruler Barbu Stirbei (1849 - 1853) on August 9, 1850. Orașul Întorsura Buzăului este așezat în partea sud-estică a Transilvaniei, în partea sudică a județului Covasna, la granița cu județul Brașov (6 km) pe drumul național 10 care leagă Brașovul de Buzău. Pasul Predeluș este atestat documentar din toamna anului 1476 de o scrisoare a lui Vlad Țepeș către Judele Brașovului în care dădea de știre că: Cu voia lui Dumnezeu mi s-a închinat toată Țara Românească și toți boierii; și v-a slobozit Dumnezeu pretutindeni drumurile și pe la Rucăr și pe la Prahova și pe Teleajen și Buzău. Deci umblați acum slobozi pe unde vă place și hrăniți-vă și Dumnezeu să vă bucure!
Întorsura Buzăului se află în Depresiunea Întorsura Buzăului, ce dă o impresie de cetate medievală. La Nord de oraș se află munții Clăbucetele Întorsurii (1.000-1.200 m) acoperit cu păduri de foioase și conifere dar și pajiști de o cromatică deosebită.
La Est, Întorsura Buzăului este străjuită de munții Buzăului iar la sudul lor de masivul Siriu—vârful Siriu (1.657 m), vârful Malaia (1.662 m)
La Vest se înalță culmile domoale ale munților Tătarul Mare și Tătarul Mic, iar la sud culmile semețe și abrupte ale masivului Ciucaș (vârful Ciucaș, 1.954 m).

Complexul turistic Lacul Sărat este situat în partea sud-vestică a stațiunii balneare Ocna Șugatag (județul Maramureș), vestită pentru apele sale sărate cu rezultate foarte bune în tratarea unor afecțiuni diverse: reumatismale, neurologice, ginecologice, post-traumatice, circulatorii periferice, oboseală, stres etc. În apropierea complexului turistic se găsește Lacul Gavrilă a cărui salinitate crește spre adâncime. Este cel mai mare lac din seria lacurilor din lungul Văiii Sărate formate prin prăbușirea vechilor lucrări subterane executate în perioada 1777-1950. La Ocna Șugatag, exploatarea la suprafață a sării s-a realizat încă din antichitate, fiind reluată în secolul 14. Odată cu începerea lucrărilor subterane în anul 1777, Imperiul Habsburgic a adus meșteri mineri de diverse naționalități ai căror urmași încă mai erau la începutul secolului 20. De altfel, numele stațiunii, Șugatag, provine din ungurescul ”sóvágó” = tăietor de sare. Complexul turistic Lacul Sărat dispune de facilități balneare (piscine în aer liber cu apă sărată și cu apă dulce, bazin interior cu saramură caldă), de cazare (camere, apartamente, căsuțe, loc de camping), agrement (lac de pescuit, hidrobiciclete, loc de picnic, de joacă pentru copii) și de alimentație publică (bar, restaurant, terasă). Lângă complex se găsesc Băile Vechi cu un bazin în aer liber cu apă sărată.
The Lacul Sarat (Salt Lake) Tourist Complex is located in the south-western part of the Ocna Sugatag spa resort (Maramures County, Romania), famous for its salty waters with great results in treating various diseases: rheumatism, neurological, gynecological, post-traumatic, peripheral circulatory, fatigue , stress, etc. Close to the tourist complex is the Gavrila Lake, whose salinity increases to depth. It is the largest lake in the series of lakes along the Salt Valley formed by the collapse of the old underground works executed between 1777 and 1950. At Ocna Sugatag, salt mining has been carried out since antiquity and resumed in the 14th century. With the commencement of underground works in 1777, the Habsburg Empire brought miners from various nationalities whose descendants were still at the beginning of the 20th century. Besides, the name of the resort, Sugatag, comes from Hungarian sóvágó = salt cutter. The tourist complex Lacul Sarat (Salt lake) has more spa facilities (outdoor pools with saltwater and freshwater, indoor warm salt water pool), accommodation (rooms, apartments, cottages, camping), recreation (fishing lake, picnic, children's playground) and food serving establishments (bar, restaurant, terrace). Next to the complex are the Old Baths with an open-air salt-water pool.

Sibiu / Hermannstadt / Nagyszeben is a well-preserved fortified medieval town in central Romania, situated in the region of Transylvania. The city has a population of 134,000 making it the 15th-largest city in Romania. Known for its diverse architecture, which includes the iconic houses with eyes that gave Sibiu its nickname, The Town with Eyes, the city is a well-known tourist destination for both domestic and foreign visitors. In 2004, its historical center became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sibiu was subsequently designated the European Capital of Culture in 2007. Sibiu is also known nationally and internationally for its very beautiful Christmas market.
Historically Sibiu had been one of the most important cultural and administrative centers of the Transylvanian Saxons. The city was founded by Saxon settlers brought there by King of Hungary, Géza II during the 12th century. As part of the Ostsiedlung, settlers came from the north-western parts of Germany and the Benelux region. Hermannstadt was named after Hermann of Nürnberg, a man who is believed to have founded the city. In the 14th century, it was already the most important German city in Transylvania. Between 1692 and 1791 and 1849–65 Sibiu was the capital of the Principality of Transylvania.
During the 18th and 19th centuries, the city became the most important center of Transylvanian Romanians. After World War I when Sibiu became part of the Kingdom of Romania, the majority of its population was still ethnically German. Starting from the 1950s and until 1990, most of the town's ethnic Germans emigrated to West Germany and Austria.
