Dendermonde is located at the mouth of the river Dender, where it flows into the Scheldt.
Places of interest in this town are:
The city hall and belfry that have also been designated a World Heritage Site since 1999.
The belfry houses a carillon and was formerly part of the Cloth Hall.
A Benedictine abbey right in the center of town.
The Dendermonde beguinage is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998

The Largest Market Square Belgium: Grote Markt Sint Niklaas (Belgium) 4K
I recorded this 4k ultra hd video during a trip in Sint Niklaas in march 2021.
Sint Niklaas is located roughly 20 minutes train ride from Antwerpen.
Sint Niklaas has the largest Market Square (Grote Markt) in Belgium.
I went their on Sunday early morning during covid-times. This is the reason why the square and the streets are almost completely empty. Which is a very rare view.
The guided tour starts at the Station on goes along the main shopping street directly to the Grote Markt.
Followed by a visit of the Castle Walburg and a tour in the city center (about 2.5km long tour).

Lanaken en Oud Rekem - Filmpjes Jan De prins
Lanaken is een dorp en een gemeente in de provincie Limburg in België . Het Kasteel Pietersheim en de aanpalende Waterburcht Pietersheim behoren tot de meest bezienswaardige historische gebouwen van de gemeente. Ze liggen in het 80 hectare groot domein Pietersheim, samen met een kinderboerderij. Was te zien in mijn vorige filmpjes, hier ziet u de dorpskern. Oud-Rekem is een dorp in de deelgemeente Rekem (gemeente Lanaken) . Het dorp heeft een van de meest authentiek bewaarde dorpskernen van België. Kijk je mee ?

Opdorp is klaar voor 10 dagen feest
Opdorp kermis van 1 juli tot en met 10 juli 2022
Tien dagen lang kan u op de Dries in Opdorp feesten dankzij het lokaal bestuur en het feest-en jaarmarktcomité.
Er zijn tal van gratis optredens en activiteiten. Kom zeker de sfeer opsnuiven op en rond de kermistent op de Dries. De kermisattracties zijn open op zaterdag vanaf 15u, op zondag vanaf 14u en op maandag vanaf 10u. Vanaf woensdag 29 juni tot en met maandag 11 juli worden de middendreef van de Dries, het kerkplein en één zijde van de Drietorenstraat afgesloten.
Vandaag ben ik al eens een kijkje gaan nemen. Alles wordt in gereedheid gebracht , want vanavond is er al een strandfuif door de Jeugdraad.

For ten days you can party on the Dries in Opdorp thanks to the local government and the party and fair committee.
There are numerous free performances and activities. Come and soak up the atmosphere in and around the fairground tent on the Dries. The fairground attractions are open on Saturday from 3 pm, on Sunday from 2 pm and on Monday from 10 am. From Wednesday 29 June to Monday 11 July the central avenue of the Dries, the church square and one side of the Drietorenstraat will be closed.
Today I already went to take a look. Everything is being prepared, as the Youth Council is throwing a beach party tonight.

Dit weekend: 2 en 3 juli, is het opnieuw Scheldeland in Stoom bij Stoomtrein Dendermonde Puurs. Gans het weekend zullen er gevarieerde treinen rijden tussen Baasrode-Noord en Puurs.
Maak een reis naar het verleden met verschillende historische stoom- en dieseltreinen doorheen het pittoreske Scheldeland tussen Baasrode-Noord en Puurs.
De editie van 2022 staat volledig in het teken van stoomlocomotief FUF HSP n°1378 “Wase Kleiputter” die dit jaar 100 kaarsjes uitblaast.
Er zullen ter gelegenheid 4 stoomlocomotieven rijden volgens een intensieve dienstregeling tussen Baasrode-Noord, Sint-Amands, Oppuurs en Puurs.
Er is vele randanimatie en eet-en drankgelegenheid voorzien in Baasrode en Puurs.
Deze namiddag gingen we een kijkje nemen in Puurs.

The 2022 edition will be entirely dedicated to steam locomotive FUF HSP n°1378 Wase Kleiputter which celebrates its 100th birthday this year.
On this occasion, 4 steam locomotives will run according to an intensive timetable between Baasrode-Noord, Sint-Amands, Oppuurs and Puurs.
There will be a lot of entertainment, food and drinks in Baasrode and Puurs.
This afternoon, we went to have a look in Puurs.

The yearly steam train festival took place on 1. and 2. July 2023 in Baasrode and Puurs in Belgium.
At the event it was possible to drive with steam locomotives, but also diesel. See model H0 trains, steam tractors, go insite various locomotives, etc.

Fort Liezele 2019 - Filmpjes Jan De prins
Het Fort Liezele is het best bewaarde en meest complete fort van de fortengordel Antwerpen. De versterking van 18 hectare was tot 1979 een militair domein. Na 1945 heeft het fort geen militaire betekenis meer. Het wordt ingericht als waardevol museum door de VZW Liezele, te midden in een groene en rustige omgeving. Het fort diende ook als filmlocatie voor De Hel van Tanger en de serie De Smaak van De Keyser. Het groendomein rond het Fort is dé plek voor zachte recreatie zoals wandelen, joggen, vissen... Een aanrader om te bezoeken !!!
Fort Liezele is the best-preserved and most complete fort of the Antwerp belt of forts. The strengthening of 18 hectares was a military domain until 1979. After 1945 the fort no longer has any military significance. It is set up as a valuable museum by the VZW Liezele, in the middle of a green and peaceful environment. The fort also served as a filming location for De Hel van Tanger and the series De Smaak van De Keyser. Trip report on the most international domestic Intercity in the Netherlands from Zwolle - Roosendaal
When you make an international railway journey, you probably won't travel via the Netherlands. But when you do so, you most likely end up at the Intercity between Zwolle & Roosendaal. This train does stop at two stations with connecting trains to Germany and two stations with connecting trains to Belgium.
In this video I'll show you the train (type DDZ), the terminal station of Zwolle and all international stations of this train route, what includes the other terminal station of Roosendaal.
