Taxi service: I had to change my taxi service operator 3 times during this tour, bcoz i didn't find the driver to be having much knowledge about places to visit and places to have food... For me it was a average experience on taxi service. For this reason i would not like to recommend any taxi service to you but you can do your own research in this regard.
Diamond Triangle - Lalitgiri, Udayagiri and Ratnagiri - we have not visited all 3 locations but we went to Udayagiri caves. This is a popular route for Buddhist Tourism.

If you are looking for a place with amazing beaches, Puri is the perfect destination. But there are also many other stunning places to visit in this beautiful city. Let me take you on a journey through Puri and show you my favourite 10 places.
1.Jagannath Temple -Believed to be one of the most impressive monuments of the state, Sri Jagannath Puri Temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath (Lord of the universe and incarnation of Vishnu). Moreover, this temple holds the utmost religious significance among the Hindus and was constructed by the famous Ananda Verman Chodaganga Dev. Termed as one of the best tourist places in Puri, this richly carved structure is constructed on a high pedestal with four gigantic gates.
2.Konark Sun Temple-A popular pilgrimage destination near the capital city of Odisha – Bhubaneswar, Konark is well-known for its 7th century old Sun Temple. Following Odisha’s medieval architectural style, the architectural marvel consists of sculptures of the sun god, represented in three different images and positioned in three different directions to precisely capture the rays of the sun during mornings, afternoons and evenings. The massive temple is structured in the form of a chariot, dedicated to the Sun god.
3.Puri Beach-A silent paradise for nature seekers, Puri Beach is located on the east coast of the Bay of Bengal. Positioned in close proximity to Jagannath Temple and other renowned temples of Puri, this beach near Bhubaneshwar attracts a large number of tourists. The sun-kissed beach is an apt destination to enjoy a perfect vacation with your family and friends.
4.If you’re anywhere near Puri, Bhubaneswar, or just anywhere in Odisha, you cannot leave without visiting Chilika Lake. Among the best tourist destinations in the state, Chilika Lake is a salty water lagoon at the tip of Daya River that flows into Bay of Bengal.Situated at just 70 Km from Puri and 61 Km from Bhubaneswar, Chilika Lake provides sustenance to many fishermen families.During the migratory seasons, as far as 160 species of birds flock around the lake.
5.Markandeswara Temple-Markandeswara Temple is believed to be the holy place where sage Markandeya meditated on Lord Shiva as a child. The 13th century old temple welcomes the devotees with a sculpture of Lord Nataraja with ten hands and as one explores further, they will come face to face with various figures of Lord Shiva in all his forms and also many idols of Goddess Parvathi and Lord Ganesha. The stunning architectural and artistic beauty of the temple attracts tourists from all over the globe.
6.Narendra Tank-Enclosed with numerous shrines, this 15th century AD tank is one of the largest tanks of Odisha. At just 2 km from Jagannath Temple, the tank provides various Ghats where devotees can take holy baths. The renowned tank is also the place where deities are floated upon pristine water and plenty of rituals are performed during the Chandana Yatra festival. At the center of the large tank is a beautiful, small temple called Chandana Mandapa.
7.Udaygiri and Khandagiri Caves-Positioned within 7 km from Bhubaneswar, Udaygiri and Khandagiri Caves is built around the 2nd century BC by King Kharavela. The carvings draw its influences from history and mythology. The most important section to be emphasized is the depiction of the Kalinga War, where women and teenagers are depicted fighting to save their motherland from Ashoka’s army.
8.Lingaraj Temple-The Lingaraj Temple is an ancient temple situated in the city of Bhubaneswar and is the largest one situated in the city. Dedicated to Lord Shiva as the name suggests, the temple was built in the 7th century by the King Jajati Keshari. It is highly revered because of the fact that the Linga here, which is the phallic form of Lord Shiva, is believed to have appeared naturally. It rises to a massive height of 8 inches above the floor level and is about 8 feet in diameter as well. Lingaraj Temple is located in the old part of Bhubaneswar Town and can be easily reached using local transport.
9.Shanti Stupa of Dhauligiri is also known as the Peace Pagda. Dhauligiri lies at a distance of 7 Km from Bhubaneswar. As one travels from Bhubaneswar to Puri, one finds Shanti Stupa. Since King Ashoka adopted the path of peace and tranquility and resorted to Buddhism, he laid the foundation of Dhauligiri Shanti Stupa at a place which is known for the end of Kalinga War. Here, one finds the edict of Lord Budddha which is visited by numerous Buddhist devotees.
10..Nandankanan Zoological Park-Nandankanan Zoological Park is located 20 kms ahead of the capital city Bhubaneswar in Orissa. The Nandankanan Zoological Park is also known as Nandankanan National Park where arrays of enthralling facility like boating, white tiger and lion safaris, reptile park, aerial ropeway and cable car at the zoological park are available.

We begin this journey in Amritsar, and more specifically in the mesmerizing Golden Temple. Located in the spiritual heartland of the Sikh community, this is one of India’s most famous icons. The nearby kitchen is also very interesting to visit, and don’t miss the Wagah border ceremony, where soldiers from both India and Pakistan perform an entertaining border closing show.
Rajasthan is a beautiful province that can be explored for weeks, with stunning hilltop forts and royal palaces, in places like Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, and Jaipur. The bazaars and street markets, where many people do their (grocery) shopping, are also a joy to explore. After Rajasthan, we travel to Agra, to visit India’s tourism symbol, the awe-inspiring Taj Mahal.
Mumbai is one of India’s most dynamic and interesting cities. Often considered as the commercial capital of the country, the city bursts with energy and creativity. While there are many impressive buildings to admire (mosques, temples, colonial architecture), it’s the city’s atmosphere that really draws tourists and travelers to Mumbai.
Tamil Nadu is a distinctly different province from many others places in India, and is characterized by charming coastal villages, pilgrimage sites, and beautiful Hindu temples. The South Indian food is also delicious, and shouldn’t be missed. We travel onwards to Kolkata, thought of as a intellectual and cultural powerhouse. It’s a lively city, with stunning architecture, beautiful (flower) markets, and also modern shopping malls. Other places to visit are the British colonial Victoria Memorial, the horse racing tracks, and many parks where people play cricket all day long.
Dharamsala (or McLeod Ganj) is the seat of the Tibetan government in exile, and almost feels like a Little Tibet. This is where the Dalai Lama lives, and many monks and pilgrims regularly visit. Hyderabad, in central India, is an IT hub like Bangalore, and provides a great insight in the country’s growing digital economy.
Delhi is the political capital, and really a destination in itself. It’s a major business and transport hub and attracts people from all over India to work, study, and live. We finish this journey in Odisha province, an often overlooked region that boasts some of India’s most beautiful temple complexes, a welcoming attitude, and a relaxed beach vibe.

Puri has situated 60 km away from Bhubaneswar in the Indian state of Odisha. It is also one of the four holiest Hindu pilgrimages in India.
For the last many centuries, Puri has been the venue of millions of pilgrims, who visit this place to pay a visit to the Jagannath Temple. The temple of Lord Jagannath is also the tallest historic memorial standing 65 meters tall and constructed by Chodaganga Deva in the 12th century AD. The architecture of the temple is magnificent and glorifies ancient culture and time.
