Top 10 Most Beautiful Places To Visit In Alaska | Traveling Insider

Hey guys, today we’ll look at the top 10 most beautiful places to visit in Alaska.

As Alaska is big, so too is its beauty. A vast, uninhabited wilderness overwhelms the comparatively small cities in the state, such as commercial-minded Anchorage, with its many things to do, and tucked-away Juneau (a curious state capital with no road access).

This natural beauty can be enjoyed while hiking, paddling, and fishing in the great outdoors, especially as the state and national parks here are some of the largest in the United States. These wildlands of The Last Frontier are what attracts nature lovers and tourists from across the world.

Though there are several museums and other tourist attractions in the major centers, towns are perhaps more accurately used as jumping-off points for exploring the Alaskan wilds, such as Denali and Kenai Fjords national parks. But wherever your sightseeing may take you, the scale of Alaska is sure to impress. Discover the best places to visit in this ruggedly beautiful state with our list of the top attractions in Alaska.

Since arriving in Nova Scotia last year, we've been waiting for this moment! The 440 mile drive along the Dalton Highway, one of the most remote and infamous roads in the world. Can we take on the slick mud, the washed away roads, the daunting Atigun Pass and emerge victorious in Deadhorse? If we make it, we'll be at the official start of the Pan American Highway, after which it's only downhill to Argentina ???? Join us for the drive of your life, and a close encounter with a wolf that left our hearts pounding.

↠ A BIT ABOUT US
We're Chesca and Ben, and with our two pups River & Scout (???? ???? ) we live and travel full-time in our self converted sprinter van, Sophia. We spent the past 2 years road tripping as much of Europe as we could, from the wild coasts of Portugal to the Syrian border in Turkey, tackling lockdowns and a van re-build along the way. But now, we're feeling like a new challenge. In the summer of 2022, we'll be shipping our van from the UK to Canada, on a mission to drive her all the way to Mexico baby! ???????? ????

Ulverston: The Perfect Cumbrian Town. A Short Tour of this Vibrant South Lakeland Destination

Experience the independent spirit of this unique little market town in South Lakeland, Cumbria.

Ulverston is a rewarding tourist destination and an even better place to live, boasting a thriving cultural scene and an enviable setting between the glistening expanse of Morecambe Bay and the drama of the Lake District fells. Is there a more perfect town in the whole of Cumbria (or am I just biased as it's my local town)?!

A big thank you to Lauren at Bluebell & Ivy and Rosie at Gallery 68 for generously agreeing to appear in the film.

DALTON HWY HAUL ROAD RV Survival ALASKA 2023 / Travel Hack / RV to Alaska / Arctic the last Frontier

Is it smart to take our Thor Class C Magnitude up the Haul Road to Prudhoe Bay, Deadhorse and above the Arctic Circle? We want to feel the Arctic Ocean and test the water but we have to take our RV up there. Not sure if it's smart but we're going to try. At least it's not like the Ice Road Truckers doing it in winter but it's still going to be a wild ride.

Taking our Class C motorhome to Alaska the Last Frontier so we can get to some remote areas and drive on roads less traveled. Like up to the Arctic Ocean.
We've been planning this Alaska RV road trip for over a year and we're doing it. Enough talk, let's walk! Well...we'll drive but you get the picture.

After camping in Teklanika for a week what could be better than 12 days of more dry camping on our way to Prudhoe Bay, Deadhorse up on the Arctic Ocean. Oh, and before we left Denali we discovered that our Jeep (Artemis) had been ducked! So that was pretty exciting for us. Now, we're going to spend a week above the Arctic circle in our RV.

We've heard the roads are really bad but are they worse than Destruction Bay? We head north of the 66th parallel to take the plunge in the Arctic Ocean and visit the tundra of the North Slope while trying to keep our RV intact.
The Haul Road is everything it's supposed to be, BAD! But do we continue on to Deadhorse?
We spend the night in the Arctic Circle Campground and then to Coldfoot to fuel which is the last stop for 220 miles! We check road conditions with the rangers and off we go to cross Atigun Pass and the continental divide on the Brooks Range.

Our RV is a Thor Magnitude so we hope it survives but the views are magnificent, awesome and stunning so the trip is a once in a lifetime event.

Our second night on the Dalton, we try to find a BLM campground at Galbraith Lake but the signage is non-existent and we're not sure where it is so we continue to try and find our stop for the night. Do we find it?

RV Camping
We like to Switch it Up between resorts and campgrounds and boondocking is always an option.

We draw inspiration from Keep Your Daydream KYD, Less Junk More Journey, Finding Our Someday and Changing Lanes. We normally travel in an HDT similar to YouTube channels Suite Travels and Watts on Wheels. I also get some ideas from the editing style of Happily Ever Hanks (Happilyeverhanks) #thankshanks

Our journey is the destination. We want to share in our experiences in our discovery of What's Next.

I get my music from:
Epidemicsound.com
Tracks:
Crusaders by Adriel Fair
Island to Island by Adriel Fair
The Fellowship by Christopher Moe Ditlevesen

Amazon Shop (no extra charge to you)
A convenient way to see (or buy) the items you see in the video's which may help in your adventure.

We use the TSD card for diesel fuel and save a bundle each time we fill up our Big Rig. We also use it to fill up our Onan generator.

The big blue boards (XL version) we use sometimes to get us un-stuck is from:
Gotreads.com

Our Class C is built by Thor Motorcoach on a Ford F550 chassis. It's a production build Magnitude model XG32. We tow our red Jeep Wrangler Sahara behind it. We've made some modifications to it so that we can boondock comfortably. Lithium batteries, Victron 3000w multi-plus inverter, dual alternators charge while traveling and mods to the water system greatly enhance it's boondocking capabilities.

Our extreme completely custom 5th wheel is built on a semi-trailer chassis with air suspension and air brakes. Completely loaded it weighs 42,000 lbs rolling down the highway. And we do roll down the highway nearly every week. You see, we believe that if your home has wheels they should be used.

Vehicles:
2016 Volvo VNL780 Voyager
2016 Smart fortwo Pathfinder
2019 SpaceCraft Custom built semi-trailer 5th wheel Orion
2023 Thor Magnitude XG32 Class C Curiosity
2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Artemis

Power system:
3250 watts of solar with Panasonic panels
30.1 KWH of Lithium batteries
2- 4K watt Magnum Inverters deliver power as if we are on shore power
2- 4K watt 240v Cotek Inverters deliver additional power for our LG Mini split HVAC and stove

Coachnet is our roadside assistance company we use but hopefully we don't use them too often. LOL

We are not sponsored by Whataburger but I do enjoy them anytime I can get my hands on one. They used to be just out of Texas but they have expanded.

BIg Truck Big Travels video's are based on our personal experience and not meant nor portrayed as experts in anything we do or say. It's our life on the road and our opinions are not meant to be construed as advice. Enjoy life on the road.

Places to see in ( Hexham - UK )

Places to see in ( Hexham - UK )

Hexham is a market town and civil parish in Northumberland, England, south of the River Tyne, and was the administrative centre for the Tynedale district from 1974 to 2009. Smaller towns and villages around Hexham include Corbridge, Riding Mill, Stocksfield and Wylam to the east, Acomb and Bellingham to the north, Allendale to the south and Haydon Bridge, Bardon Mill and Haltwhistle to the west. Newcastle upon Tyne is about 25 miles (40 km) to the east.

Hexham Abbey originated as a monastery founded by Wilfrid in 674. The crypt of the original monastery survives, and incorporates many stones taken from nearby Roman ruins, probably Corbridge or Hadrian's Wall. The current Hexham Abbey dates largely from the 11th century onward, but was significantly rebuilt in the 19th century. Other notable buildings in the town include the Moot Hall, the covered market, and the Old Gaol.

Hexham's architectural landscape is dominated by Hexham Abbey. The current church largely dates from c. 1170–1250, in the Early English Gothic style of architecture. The choir, north and south transepts and the cloisters, where canons studied and meditated, date from this period. The east end was rebuilt in 1860. The abbey stands at the west end of the market place, which is home to the Shambles, a Grade II* covered market built in 1766 by Sir Walter Blackett.

At the east end of the market place stands the Moot Hall, a c15 gatehouse that was part of the defences of the town. The Moot Hall is a Grade I listed building, and was used as a courthouse until 1838. The Old Gaol, behind the Moot Hall on Hallgates, was one of the first purpose-built jails in England. It was built between 1330 and 1333 and is a Grade I listed Scheduled Monument. Hexham Library can be found in the Queen's Hall. It contains the Brough Local Studies Collection which is the second-largest local history collection in the county.

Hexham is bypassed to the north by the A69 road, linking it with Carlisle to the west and Newcastle to the east, which bypasses the original route, the A695. The town is served by Hexham railway station on the Newcastle and Carlisle Railway, also known as the Tyne Valley Line. The line — part of the UK publicly owned national rail network — was opened in 1838, and links the city of Newcastle upon Tyne in Tyne and Wear with Carlisle in Cumbria. The line follows the course of the River Tyne through Northumberland.

( Hexham - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting the city of Hexham . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Hexham - UK
