Number 8 WALK THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE
Walk the Brooklyn Bridge
The Brooklyn Bridge helps millions of people get from lower Manhattan to Brooklyn, but it is also one of the most famous buildings in the city. You can walk or ride a bike across it, but be careful because there are a lot of people. To avoid the crowds, go early in the morning or late at night.

Number 7 GO HAM AT SMORGASBURG
Go ham at Smorgasburg
About the Smorgasburg! New Yorkers love to eat outside, whether it's at one of the city's best waterfront restaurants, a high-up rooftop bar, or an open-air food flea market like Brooklyn's famous food market. Locals and tourists alike love Smorg because it has almost 100 vendors selling snacks that are both delicious and cheap.

Number 6 HUM FOR TREASURES AT BROOKLYN FLEA
Hunt for treasures at Brooklyn Flea
In New York, you have to go to an outdoor bazaar, and Brooklyn Flea is without a doubt one of the best places to go. The market has everything, including a huge selection of old clothes and records that you wouldn't find in any city vintage clothing or record store. There are two locations: Dumbo and Williamsburg, where there is a good selection of food nearby. The same people who made it also run one of the best food festivals in the city.

Number 5 WALK, SHOP AND EAT AT INDUSTRY CITY
Walk, shop and eat at Industry City
In the old Bush Terminal, which is now part of this waterfront complex, there are artist studios and workshops, as well as shops and restaurants like Sahadi's, Li-lac Chocolates, Powerhouse, St. Mark's Comics, and Japan Village. It also has concerts, art shows, parties, and fun things to do during the different seasons, like ice skating, roller skating, Oktoberfest events, and more.

Number 4 EAT LIKE A NEW YORKER AT TIME OUT MARKET NEW YORK
Eat like a New Yorker at Time Out Market New York
We love going out to eat in the city, and we think you do, too. At the Time Out Market New York, all of our favourite restaurants are under one roof, which is great for all of us. The DUMBO location in Empire Stores has pancakes from the famous Clinton Street Baking Co., pizza from Fornino, seasonal ice cream flavours from Sugar Hill Creamery, fried chicken from Jacob's Pickles, and more amazing restaurants that we chose.

Number 3 HAVE A PICNIC IN PROSPECT PARK
Have a picnic in Prospect Park
Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, who are best known for making Central Park, also made the 526-acre Prospect Park, which is more rural. Long Meadow and Nethermead have lots of grassy areas where you can have a picnic and watch people, and the Ravine is a huge forest in the middle of busy Brooklyn.

Number 2 PEEP THE PETALS AT BROOKLYN BOTANIC GARDEN
Peep the petals at Brooklyn Botanic Garden
People who want some peace and quiet should spend a few hours at this green oasis. The garden was started in 1910 and is spread out over 52 acres. It is near the Brooklyn Museum and Prospect Park, which are also great places to visit in the area. The Sakura Matsuri Festival is held there every spring, when more than 70 trees along the Cherry Esplanade bloom.

Number 1 HAVE A DAY OF WHIMSY AT CONEY ISLAND
Have a day of whimsy at Coney Island
Coney Island, NY was the city's playground from the turn of the 20th century until the Second World War. After that, the area was left alone for years, but when Luna Park opened, it brought life back to the area. Today, hundreds of thousands of people go to a beach that has become one of the best in New York and has a lot of great summer activities. There's something for everyone, from movie nights to concerts to the wild Mermaid Parade.

The borough boasts awesome places of historic importance like the Brooklyn Museum, New York Transit Museum, and the Green-Wood Cemetery, which was once a battlefield. Visiting Prospect Park is one of the best things to do while in Brooklyn. It is one of the finest natural parks in the whole of New York City. The park is ideal for a picnic with family or friends, birdwatching, or silent leisure. Other places like the Brooklyn Bridge and the Brooklyn Promenade which offer a stunning and picturesque view of New York City's skyline, all contribute to Brooklyn being a tourist attraction in its own right. The borough is also abundant in entertaining places and activities. Families can spend the day at the family-friendly Luna Park on Coney Island. Coney Island is the epicenter of fun at the beach in Brooklyn. The island offers an unending range of fantastic beach and amusement park activities, especially during the summer. Other places of interest include Brighton Beach.

Another of the best things to do in Brooklyn is to treat yourself to any of its famous restaurants. Brooklyn is widely known for its awesome restaurants, and places like DeKalb Market Hall, Sunday in Brooklyn and Brooklyn Crab are famous for the exquisite dining experiences they offer. The restaurants and diners serve palatable delicacies in their uniquely distinct surroundings. It's impossible to talk about flea markets and not mention Brooklyn. In fact, visiting the Brooklyn Flea is also one of the best things to do in Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Flea is a one-stop shop for anything and everything pre-owned. There is more than enough to see, do, and eat in Brooklyn.

Top 10 Places To See NYC in FULL BLOOM

Happy Spring everyone!

It looks like the cherry blossoms have beat me to it this year. Couldn’t get this video out fast enough. Traditionally, there are cherry blossom festivals that accompany the blooms. But due to the circumstances, there most likely will not be any festivals in 2021. However, that does not keep these magical trees from blooming, nor will it keep you from witnessing their beauty!

Also, at the time of this posting, it’s still ‘rona season. So before you run out that door, make it a point to visit each botanical garden’s website for info on how or when you can visit.

Thanks for watching and much love!

Affordable Cities: 10 US Metro Areas With Underrated Livability, Walkability and Transit

Which city should I move to? This is a question people are increasingly asking themselves as the challenge of finding affordable living in coastal and sun belt cities continues to spiral out of reach. Now, we're all for fighting the good fight to get more housing built in the places where people want to live...but for some people, you just can't wait for solutions. Today's video is here to help!

There's a staggering difference in cost of living between the sought-after cities of California (and even skyrocketing cities like Austin and Nashville), and established, legacy cities in other parts of the US. So this video tackles the question of not only what are the most affordable places to live in the US, but where good prices intersect with things city-lovers care about: public amenities, culture, sports, walkability, bike-ability, and transit service.

This is CItyNerd's guide to the ten most underrated cities to move to in the US. Your results may vary, so let me know what you think I overrated or underrated down in the comments!

Top 10 Best Parks in New York City

Top 10 Best Parks in New York City:
Central Park, The High Line, Bryant Park, Washington Square Park, Riverside Park, Battery Park, Union Square, Fort Tryon Park, Battery Park City's Rockefeller Park

Walking Tour Prospect Park

It could just as easily have been called My Back Yard because that's what it is. It's Brooklyn's backyard. Prospect Park is beautiful and I wanted to share it with you. I wanted to dispel the myth that Brooklyn and the Park are overcrowded, dirty and dangerous. My wife and I both grew up as kids very close to the park, (on opposite sides) but the same nostalgic memories are shared by the both of us.

We want a ground to which people may easily go when the day's work is done, and where they may stroll for an hour, seeing, hearing, and feeling nothing of the bustle and jar of the streets where they shall, in effect, find the city put far away from them...
(Frederick Law Olmsted, 1870)

The video is about 11 minutes, I tried to take you on a tour of the park from one end to the other that could be walked in an afternoon. You're gong to see some of my favorite places and views. You will notice some recurring themes, the things that I focus on; sculpture, monuments, bridges, arches, architecture, water features, waterfalls, ducks and swans, horses, dogs, kids, joggers, bicyclists, skaters...people.

I hope you enjoy it, comments good and bad are welcome.
