Kazan which is located about 820 km east of Moscow is one of the most important economic, scientific and cultural centers of the country.
According to the official version, Kazan was founded no less than 1000 years ago. The evidence is a Czech coin found on the territory of Kazan Kremlin and dated approximately 929-930s, as well as other items with less clear dates.
Kazan was founded as an outpost on the northern borders of Volzhkaya. In the 13th century, Kazan rapidly developed and became an important trade and political center of the Golden Horde. The favorable geographical location on the trade ways connecting East and West was the reason for the growth of Kazan.

My FAVORITE CITY in Russia? | Kazan, Tatarstan
Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia - Our third stop on our journey across the entire country of Russia on the Trans-Siberian Railway is Kazan.
We arrive early on the train from Moscow to Kazan and head straight out to the Blue Lake of Kazan.
We go scuba diving in the Blue Lake and then head back into the city of Kazan, capital of the Republic of Tatarstan for lunch and exploration.
We try traditional Russian and Tatar food and then explore the Kazan Kremlin and bustling Bauman Street in downtown Kazan.
The next morning we take a boat from kazan to the ancient capital of Bolgar, where we visit the old city and go inside the White Mosque.
From there, it was back into Kazan to catch the Trans-Siberian Railway once more - this time, we're heading into the Ural Mountains!

???? Я первый раз в Казани! Рассказываю, как добраться из аэропорта, где остановиться, что попробовать, где купить сувениры, что посмотреть в столице Татарстана. Это видео – мой отзыв о поездке в Казань и советы туристам, которые летят в Татарстан впервые.
✅ Полезное из этого видео:
1. Добраться из аэропорта в центр Казани можно на автобусе №197 (он идет на автовокзал «Восточный»), электричке или такси. Я доехала на «Яндекс Go» из аэропорта в Старо-Татарскую слободу примерно за 600 рублей.
2. Отель в Старо-Татарской слободе с отличными отзывами туристов – Sweet Йорт 3*: фото и цены на ваши даты смотрите тут –
3. Обзорная экскурсия по главным достопримечательностям Казани, на которой я была, вот здесь –
4. Достопримечательности из видео: Казанский Кремль, мечеть Кул-Шариф, улица Баумана (Казанский Арбат), озеро Кабан, Кремлевская набережная, колесо обозрения «Вокруг Света», центр семьи «Казан», парк 1000-летия Казани, татарская деревня Туган Авылым, театр кукол «Экият», Музей трамваев Казани под открытым небом.
5. Самая красивая станция метро в Казани – «Кремлевская». Жетон в метро стоит 31 рубль (при оплате банковской картой). Общественный транспорт Казани – автобусы, троллейбусы, трамваи. Маршруток нет.
6. Что попробовать в Казани: эчпочмак, азу по-татарски, кыстыбый, чак-чак, баурсак, талкыш калеве и другое. Поесть вкусно и недорого в центре Казани можно в столовых. Пирожки и чак-чак покупайте в супермаркете «Бахетле». Лучший чак-чак в Татарстане (по мнению татар) делает «Казанский хлебозавод №3».
7. Что привезти из Татарстана: чак-чак и баурсак в подарочных коробках, символы Казани – дракон Зилант и кот, серебряные и кожаные изделия, расписную посуду, чай, поделки из дерева.

A Day in Kazan - The Capital of Tatars
In November 2020, I decided to escape my daily routine and visit Kazan, one of my favorite cities in Russia. Kazan is a unique combination of cohabitation of people of hundreds of nations. For the last decade Kazan has been developed to purely European city but it also saved it's natural mixed vibe of numerous cultures.
