1: PORTA NIGRA, TRIER GERMANY:
The Porta Nigra (Latin for black gate) is a large Roman city gate in Trier, Germany. It is today the largest Roman city gate north of the Alps. It was designated as part of the Roman Monuments, Cathedral of St Peter and Church of Our Lady in Trier UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986, because of its testimony to the influence of Trier in the Roman Empire and its unique architecture as both a city gate and a double church.
2: SCHLOSS PHILIPPSRUHE :
Schloss Philippsruhe is a beautiful baroque palace in Kesselstadt, a suburb in the west of Hanau, Germany. Join me on a tour to the past, and see some wonderful pictures of Germany.
The palace was built from 1701 as a summer residence for Graf Philipp Reinhard von Hanau-Lichtenberg, based on French models. Its location on the banks of the river Main, the large park behind the castle, the museum, the fairy tale festival and the restaurant terrace make the palace a favourite destination for locals and visitors from all over Hessen, and the world.
Within the museum is a small cafe that offers delicious cakes & refreshments.
3: JERUSALEM GATE
The Jerusalem Gate is the only survivor of the original 3 gates. The Tor and the Mausfall both date to 1503.
Büdingen is located 15 km northwest of Gelnhausen and about 40 km east from Frankfurt am Main in a wet and sometimes swampy valley. The castle and the old town were built on centuries-old oak planks, set up on beech props. Therefore the water level has to be kept relatively high so that no air can reach these foundations.
4: ELTZ CASTLE
Eltz Castle (German: Burg Eltz) is a medieval castle nestled in the hills above the Moselle between Koblenz and Trier, Germany. It is still owned by a branch of the same family (the Eltz family) that lived there in the 12th century, thirty-three generations ago. Bürresheim Castle, Eltz Castle and Lissingen Castle are the only castles in the Eifel region which have never been destroyed.
5: RONNEBURG MUSEUM:
A tour through the interior of the castle starts in the castle courtyard, where visitors can get an idea of life in the Middle Ages. If you enter the castle through the large entrance gate, you will find the outer bailey with the former farm buildings on the right-hand side.
6: KAISER-WILHELM-DENKMAL
Kaiser-Wilhelm-Denkmal is located at the extreme eastern end of the range of the Wiehen Hills on the eastern slopes of the Wittekindsberg (294.2 metres (965 ft) above sea level (NHN)). It towers above the great gorge of Porta Westfalica, through which the River Weser flows between the Wiehen Hills in the west and the Weser Hills in the east and between the towns of Porta Westfalica in the south and Minden in the north. It is here that the Weser breaks out of the German Central Uplands and winds across the North German Plain.

#KaiserWilhelmDenkmal in #PortaWestfalica is one of spots in Germany where you can have a good view to see Westphalia area from above. Visiting the monument and the museum are free but the parking lot is pricey.

The Kaiser Wilhelm monument in Porta Westfalica. Landmark of the region and a monument of contemporary history for 120 years. In 2015, the LWL decided to upgrade the monument with a necessary renovation. The reopening will be celebrated on July 8, 2018 with a big ceremony. A newly built LWL visitor center and a restaurant in the newly built ring terrace are intended to attract around 150,000 visitors a year to Wittekindsberg, where they can immerse themselves in the history of the monument and the region.

Ein Ausflug zum Kaiser Wilhelm Denkmal, nach Porta Westfalica, Nähe Minden. Trotz Nebel kam die Drohne zum Einsatz.
Nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg wurde ein, unter dem Denkmal befindlicher, Stollen gesprengt. Dadurch ist ein Teil der großen Ringterrasse abgebrochen. Erst 2015 wurde diese, aufwendig neu gestaltet. Im Zuge dessen, hat man gleich ein großes Restaurant und ein Besucherzentrum, dort mit integriert. In diesem Video, wird auch die Bronze Figur, aus nächster Nähe gezeigt.

Zu entschuldigen ist, das etwas schlechtere und dunklere Bild. Ich hatte den Iso-Wert zu niedrig, bei der Dunkelheit, eingestellt. Auch erfahrenen Leuten, machen mal Fehler. Er stand auf 200 und hätte eher auf 400, oder sogar 800 stehen müssen.

As a result, part of the large terrace has broken off. It was not until 2015 that it was extensively redesigned. In the course of this, a large restaurant and a visitor center have been integrated there.
In this video, the bronze figure is also shown up close.

Nationaldenkmal für Kaiser Wilhelm & verlassenes Hotel | Porta Westfalica
Nahe der Stadt Minden an der Weser liegt die PORTA WESTFALICA, der Durchbruch der Weser zwischen Wiehengebirge und Wesergebirge. An diesem Tor zu Westfalen steht auf einem Bergrücken das 88 Meter hohe Nationaldenkmal Kaiser-Wilhelm-Denkmal an der Porta Westfalica aus dem Jahr 1886. Das Denkmal für Kaiser Wilhelm I. entstand nach einem Entwurf von Kyffhäuser-Erbauer Bruno Schmitz. Am Fuss des Bergrückens steht das ehemalige Hotel Kaiserhof. Früher ein First Class Haus, steht es nach einem Brand heute leer.
