1. Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary
Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary and estuary situated in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is the second largest stretch of mangrove forests in India with 24 mangrove tree species and more than 120 bird species. It is home to the critically endangered white-backed vulture and the long billed vulture. In a mangrove ecosystem the water bodies of the ocean/sea and the river meet together at a certain point.
2. Papikonda National Park
Papikonda National Park is located near Rajamahendravaram in the Papi Hills in East Godavari and West Godavari districts of Andhra Pradesh, and covers an area of 1,012.86 km². It is an Important Bird and Biodiversity Area and home to some endangered species of flora and fauna. No part of Papikonda remains outside East and West Godavari districts after 2014 and after the construction of Polavaram Dam.
3. Rajamahendra varam Godavari Arch Bridge
The Godavari Bridge or Kovvur–Rajahmundry Bridge is truss bridge spanning Godavari River in Rajahmundry, India. It is India's third longest road-cum-rail bridge crossing a water body, first one is The Bogibeel Bridge is rail-cum-road bridge over the Brahmaputra river in the Dibrugarh district of Assam state in north-east India, and second is Digha–Sonpur Bridge over Ganges in Bihar. The Godavari bridge is 4.1 kilometers long consisting of 27 spans of 91.5 m and 7 spans of 45.72 m of which 6 spans of 45.72m are in 6 deg. curve at long Rajahmundry end to make up for the built up area. The bridge has a road deck over the single track rail deck, similar to the Grafton Bridge in New South Wales, Australia. This bridge, in addition to Godavari Arch Bridge, has been widely used to represent Rajahmundry in arts, media, and culture. It is one of the recognised symbols of Rajahmundry.
4. Annavaram Sri Veera Venkata Sathyanarayana Swamy Vari Devasthanam
Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayanaswamy Temple or Annavaram Temple is a Hindu-Vaishnavite temple situated at Annavaram town in East Godavari District, of Andhra Pradesh state, India. The temple is on a hillock named Ratnagiri and is dedicated to Veera Venkata Satyanarayana, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
5. Sri Chalukya Kumararama Bhimeswara Swamy Temple
Kumararama or Bhimarama is one of the five Pancharama Kshetras that are sacred to the Hindu god Shiva. The temple is located in Samalkota of East Godavari district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The other four temples are Amararama at Amaravati, Draksharama at Draksharama, Ksheerarama at Palakollu and Somarama at Bhimavaram. It is one of the centrally protected monuments of national importance.
6. Sri Kukkuteswara Swamy Temple
Pithapuram Temple is a temple in the Pithapuram area of East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. It is 75 km from Rajahmundry and 20 km from Kakinada. The main deity of this Hindu temple is Kukkuteshwara Swamy.
7. Dowleswaram Barrage
The Dowleswaram Barrage was an irrigation structure originally built in 1850 on the lower stretch of the Godavari River before it empties into the Bay of Bengal. It was rebuilt in 1970 when it was officially renamed the Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage / Godavari Barrage.
8.Pushkar Ghat
9. Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple
Lakshmi Narasimha Temple is situated in temple town named Antarvedi of Sakhinetipalle Mandal, located in the East Godavari district of the Andhra Pradesh state in India. The temple is situated at the place where the Bay of Bengal and Vashista Godavari, a tributary of the Godavari River, meet. It was built in the 15th and 16th centuries.

VIJAYAWADA - DON'T MISS this 6 Places to Visit | UndavalliCaves, Bapu Museum, Bhavani Islands...
Vijayawada is city in the Indian city of Andhra Pradesh. If you are planning one-day trip to Vijayawada these are the 6 tourist places (mentioned entry fees and timings in the video) you shouldn't miss visiting. I have included the recently opened Bapu Museum which was inaugurated by CM Jagan on October 1st 2020, after renovation. Though the time we went it was closed.
We also visited Moghalrajpuram caves, 2000 years old historic monument in the heart of city. There are a total of 5 caves spread each at a distance of around 1 km. The one we ended up was cave no.3. This cave is on the top of a very small hill. The enthusiasm to see other 4 caves was gone after seeing this one. So my personal suggestion is to skip this one, if you are not really interested in history and stuff. And there is nothing much to see. You can head to this link, where I've explained about this cave in detail..

Papikondalu boat trip on the Godavari River is a great way to explore the beauty of the river and its surroundings. Where is located Papikondalu?
This place is about 100 km from Rajahmundry and there are three Papikondas like a wall in the middle of the holy Godavari River. Many tourists visit Papi Hills on a luxury cruise to enjoy the scenic beauty.
Governments of Telangana and Andhra are coming up with an amazing plan to promote tourism in the state by bringing back the memorable sweet experience of river cruises and such sweet moments to encourage. Resorts in Papikondalu, various tour packages, Papikondalu Travel Guide, Papikondalu Destinations, Kollur Bamboo Huts Honeymoon Package and more information are available on Telangana, Andhra Government and other tourism websites.
Best time to visit Papikondalu
The best time to visit Papikonda is the monsoon season, usually between June and October. During this season you can enjoy the breathtaking river full water scenery of Godavari river. Papikondalu, Perantalapalli, Devipatnam, Pushkara Ghats are the best places to visit in Papikondalu. All these places offer amazing scenery and variety of entertainment activities. Remember to bring your camera to capture all the beauty this place has to offer!
Papikondas are a must-see during the journey
The river Godavari flows from Bhadrachalam towards Rajahmundry. A boat trip or cruise on the Godavari River from Rajahmundry to Sriramagiri or Koonavaram is one of the best tourist attractions in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Tour packages covering half the journey and returning to the starting point of Bhadrachalam or Rajahmundry are also available.
The trip consists of about 100 km of driving (Diesel engine driving) from the start. Total travel time from Rajahmundry to Sri Ramagiri is 12 hours. If travelers are willing to go to Coonavaram at the same start, an additional half hour journey is required. The road passes through various temples and hill stations and is very scenic for the beautiful greenery around the river Godavari. Pattiseema, Maha Nandeswaralayam, Polavaram Project Area, Gandi Pochamma Temple, Papikondalu (Papi Konda), Shiva Temple, Perantala Palli, Kollur Bambu Hots and Sri Rama Mandir on Sriramagiri are some of the important places to visit on this river trip.
Papikondalu is the main attraction, this range is mostly covered from Rajahmundry side. So, the benefits of traveling from Rajahmundry are high.
There are plenty of launch services available in Rajahmundry and Bhadrachalam. In Rajahmundry, launchee booking offices are available near the river bank. Even if the initial service starts from Koonavaram or Sriramagiri, reservation should be made only at Bhadrachalam for those starting from Bhadrachalam side. Different tourist operators have different schedules. But this facility is available on all days. Most people prefer to travel on Friday. Reason can visit Bhadrachalam temple in evening. They can visit the local site the next day and return on Sunday by road or by the same package. Breakfast (tiffin), coffee, tea, lunch, evening snack are included in the package.

Papikondalu day trip || Papi Hills ||Andhra Pradesh India
Distance of 60 km from Rajahmundry, 180 km from Vijayawada, 20 km from Polavaram, 260 km from Vizag & 410 km from Hyderabad, Papi Kondalu is a breathtakingly beautiful hill range bounded by River Godavari in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Papi hills are a set of three hills which form a beautiful gorge on the Godavari River spread across East Godavari and West Godavari districts. Entire area of Papi Kondalu is covered by tropical rain forests and it was recently declared as a protected National Park and is one of the top places to experience the Tourism in Andhra Pradesh. Papikondalu is one of the top attractions you must visit
The original name for this hill range was 'Papidi Kondalu'. Papidi is a rough translation for partition in Telugu. It is believed that the place was visited by Lord Rama and goddess Sita during their exile. Papi Kondalu has to be reached by boat from Rajahmundry, Pattisam (35 km from Rajahmundry), Polavaram (40 km from Rajahmundry), Kunavaram (50 km from Bhadrachalam) or Sriram Giri (60 km from Bhadrachalam). The boat service from Rajahmundry to Bhadrachalam is a wonderful experience and it is operated in post monsoon season.
Apart from enjoying the view of the hills, valley and waterfalls, tourists can engage in activities like camping and trekking. There are several sights that fall on the way like Perantallapalli, Gandipochamma Temple and Pattiseema. Several tribal communities have made their dwellings on these hills whose main occupation is agriculture, fishing and making handicrafts. There is a waterfall at Munivaatam that is a popular tourist attraction.
The boat rides usually include full-day trips starting from Rajahmundry/ Pattisam / Polavaram / Kunavaram / Sriram Giri with break at Perantallapalli and back. Both AP Tourism and Private operators offer these tours from Rajahmundry. There are also one-way trips between Rajahmundry/ Pattisam/Polavaram and Kunavaram/Sriram Giri. There are few private operators who offer 2 day trips from Rajahmundry with overnight stay at Kollur Bamboo Resort. Trips usually start early morning between 6 to 9 AM. One has to book the boat and the huts in advance through tourist agencies or AP Tourism.
The Rajahmundry Airport at Madhurapudi (70 km away) has limited domestic services from Chennai, Madurai, Vijayawada, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Rajahmundry is well connected to other neighboring cities of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana by road and rail. It has trains from Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Vizag, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Bilaspur, Trivandrum, Kochi, Kakinada, Nagercoil, Bhubaneswar, Tirupati, Puri, Kolkata, etc.
The city has 4 bus stations. The main APSRTC Bus complex is located on the Morampudi Road. The other three bus stands are Kotipalli Bus Stand in Innispet, Gokavaram Bus Stand in Aryapuram, and the Kakinada Bus Stand near Kambalcheruvu. It is connected by bus with Chennai, Bangalore, Vizag, Tirupati and Hyderabad.
The best time to visit Papi Kondalu is from October to January while the Peak Season is from November to December. Usually Papikondalu is visited from Rajahmundry as a day trip or two day trip with night stay at Kollur Camp.
