Denumita Inima Lui Iisus, statuia are o înaltime de aproximativ 22 de metri, e construita din fier si otel inoxidabil, iar pretul ei de 200.000 de euro a fost platit din donatii strânse de primaria din comuna Lupeni.

Este un baraj de greutate construit din beton si uneste Muntele Gicovanu cu Obcina Horstei, fiind situat în amonte de confluenta pârâului Izvorul Muntelui cu Bistrita.A fost construit între 1950 si 1960, are o înaltime de 127 m, o lungime de 435 m la coronament si o latime maxima la baza de 119 m.

Zona Cheile Bicazului, cu o lungime de peste 6 km, se desfasoara între Lacul Rosu în amonte si localitatea Bicaz-Chei în aval, si este strabatuta de drumul transcarpatic DN12C care leaga orasele Gheorgheni si Bicaz.
S-au format datorita eroziunilor provocate de raul Bicaz si ai sai afluenti.Parcul National din care fac parte aceste chei are o suprafata de 6675 ha si este cea mai importanta zona geologica din tara noastra.

Se spune ca o stanca pravalita din munte a blocat firul raului Bucaz si a format cu timpul lacul ce se vede acum.
O regiune unica in lume unde padurile de brazi vesnic verzi, aerul curat si proaspat asigura conditii favorabile de odihna. Statiunea este un adevarat paradis pentru cei care cauta recreere si odihna, transmitand prin pitorescul peisajului o atmosfera de neuitat.

Join us for our 24 hours in Brasov, Romania travel guide as we highlight how best to spend limited time in the city. Often before we visit somewhere we have a general idea of what we're planning on doing when arriving; however, while heading to Brasov for the 1st time we had no clue. Our 24 hours spent in the city allowed us to cover most of the Old Town, do a bit of hiking and tuck into some delicious food before heading out for nightlife. With such time scarcity we tried to pack in as much as we possibly could. The following are some of the places we had a chance to visit in Brasov, Transylvania (Transilvania):

24 hours in Brasov, Romania Travel Video Transcript:
So welcome to Brasov. We have finally arrived at our destination. It was a really pleasant train ride. I actually slept for most of it because the motion just puts me to sleep like a baby. But Sam did film some of the scenery and it was really pretty. The fall colors are starting to change. So yeah, now we're in the town. We're going to check it out. We're actually feeling a little bit hungry so I think lunch will be the first order of business and then we'll start exploring.
So last time I attempted riding a pennyfarthing we were in Germany early this summer and I was not very successful. I think these are more for decoration and it is actually attached to the bike-rack so you can just leave your bike and stack it there.
So ready for lunch? You better believe it. And we thought we were going to a local Romanian restaurant but it turns out it is Hungarian. I suppose it is close enough they share a border together.
And the bread has arrived. Oh, that is a nice loaf. It looks homemade. It looks nice and homemade. Look at how thick that is.
Take a bite for us. Woah. This is going to be nice with my soup. Mmmm, it's nice. Crispy on the outside and really soft on the inside.
It just needs some butter now.
So my soup has arrived and I'm very excited. It is a Hen's soup with vegetables. And it has huge semolina dumplings. Show us how big? Bigger than my spoon. Look at that.
Wow, let's get a close-up shot of that. Yeah, and it is nice and hot. It is steaming so let's try it.
Mmmmm.
It's almost like a bread dumpling. Or like Polenta. It's good.
So we've had our lunch and now we are checking out the town. This is actually one of those trips that we didn't plan too well. We just decided to come to Brasov spur of the moment. So we don't really know what the main attractions are which means this afternoon we're just going to be walking around and figuring it out as we go.
We've been walking around Brasov for a few hours what are your first impressions so far? Well, already I can tell you I like it a lot more than Bucharest. It definitely has more of a medieval feel here and it is more well preserved as well. You can walk around and there is lots of cool architecture and buildings and great restaurants and pubs to drop in to. Yeah, it is very colorful and lots of renovations happening. Exactly.
So where are we now? We are visiting the narrowest street in Brasov. And we've seen pictures of people jumping and touching both sides of the walls. So we're going to try to both attempt that.
So at its narrowest this is 1.3 meters so let's keep walking towards the most narrow part.
And I think this is probably it.
Something I've really been enjoying about this city so far are all of these little side streets and alleys. It's really easy to escape the busy sections of the city.
Alright guys, so this is Brasov on a Thursday night. It's looking a little bit quiet and I'm not seeing a lot of people but I'm sure there has to be a neighborhood where the pubs are open and people are hanging out. So let's go find one.
So that's a wrap from Brasov. We had a really good time here. It reminded us of a place we had visited in Europe and it took us all day to figure it out. That place is Tallinn, Estonia. Anyways, we had a really good time and tomorrow we're off to Bran Castle. To find Dracula!

Cazare la muntela Casa Luca care este situata intr-un sat transilvanean numit Poiana Mărului din judetul Brasov. Casa se afla in mijlocul naturii, pozitionata la baza dealului.

Am petrecut un weekend in Apuseni in jurul localitatii Arieseni si Vartop. Am intocmit o lista de 10 atractii din zona respectiva. Am fost cazati in Vartop, langa Arieseni. Obiectivul principal a fost Cheile Galbenei cu Cascada Evantai. Am vizitat Pestera Scarisoara, Cheile Ordancusei, Pestera Poarta lui Ionete, Cascada Pisoaia, Dealul cu Melci.

Poiana Marului Brasov
Am revenit în Poiana Mărului, de data aceasta primăvara, pentru a surprinde momentul în care natura începe să se trezească la viață și peisajele devin din ce în ce mai vii și mai vibrante. Ne-am dorit mult să prindem și merii înfloriți, însă ne-am grăbit, cred că mai durează vreo 10 zile până ce ne vor încânta cu florile lor parfumate.
Am surprins în schimb pajiști pline cu flori sălbatice, am văzut pentru prima dată bujori de câmp și panseluțe, dar și o căprioară care țopăia pe dealurile din acest sat de poveste.
Deși am mai fost în Poiana Mărului acum câteva luni, peisajele de munte m-au impresionat de parcă le vedeam pentru prima dată, contrastul dintre crestele munților încă pudrate cu zăpadă și verdele crud, face din acest sat unul de poveste.

This is the most popular HIKE in Brasov, the heart of Transylvania, Romania. The mountain in the middle of Brasov city is an attraction point for everyone who loves a forest walk. While you can go up there by cable car as well, we decided it was time to get physical and hike our way up on the staired hike called Gabony's Stairs or Treptele lui Gabony.
After this hike with our friend Alex from @shutterspecter we will enjoy some delicious Romanian food.

Poiana Brasov - Ski Resort Romania - פויאנה ברשוב
Poiana Brasov is the most popular Romanian ski resort and an important tourist centre preferred by many tourists not only from Romania, but also from Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and other European states. After the 2010s modernization, the ski area has expanded from 50 hectares to 80 hectares and the slopes length was increased from 13.8 km to 23.9 km. most slopes now have snow cannons installed. In 2013, it hosted figure skating, alpine skiing and speed skating in the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival. It is located at about 1,020 meters (3,379 feet) above sea level near the city of Brașov in Romania and it is easily accessible by road. There are regular buses operated by Brașov Transit (RAT Brașov) which serve the 12 km route between Brașov and Poiana Brașov. The resort also runs minibuses to take visitors from hotels to the base of the ski runs from where they can hike or take a cable car to Cristianu Mare or Postăvaru summits. Poiana Brașov is surrounded by four mountains: the already mentioned Postăvaru (1,799 m), Piatra Craiului (2,238 m), Bucegi (2,505 m) and Piatra Mare (1,848 m). Poiana Brașov has a temperate-continental climate. The average temperature in summer is 20 °C and in winter -4 °C. There is a snow cover of about 50–60 cm which lasts from mid-November until mid-March, for about 120 days a year. However one can expect snowfalls from the end of September.Is host to a number of hotels and restaurants, the majority of which cater for foreign tourists. Two of the better known restaurants are Șura Dacilor (The Dacians' Barn) and Coliba Haiducilor (The Outlaws' Shack). There is also one nightclub, Capra Neagră (The Chamois), adjacent to a pizza place which plays a mixture of Europop and dance music.Amongst other attractions in Poiana Brașov visitors can find traditional mulled wine and a pepper spiced alcoholic drink known as tzuică as well as other traditional Romanian fare. Hiking in Romania: Most Underrated Destination in Europe?
I spent a few weeks in Romania on a fairly hiking oriented trip. Just doing daywalks - no overnights on this trip.
The trip was during October, and the autumn colours were excellent.

WE WENT ON A SKIING VACATION IN ROMANIA

Welcome to our latest adventure, where we explore the snowy mountains of Romania and stay at a charming hotel in a ski resort. In this video, we will take you on a journey through the stunning landscapes of the Carpathian Mountains and share with you our experience of staying at a local hotel.

Our stay was made even more enjoyable thanks to the friendly staff, who made sure we felt at home and well looked after throughout our stay. We will also share with you some of the local cuisine we tried at the hotel's restaurant, and our overall impressions of the hotel and the ski resort.
