Goebbert's Pumpkin Patch Tour | Pingree Grove IL
Our journey takes us to our favorite place to pick pumpkins, Goebbert's Pumpkin Patch (Pingree Grove, IL). We also like the one in South Barrington, which is very similar. We love to be able to see the pig races, magician, animals, horse rides, camel rides, and best of all, being able to pick a pumpkin from it's vine. Very affordable and approved by the family. The pumpkin eating dinosaur was one of the highlights.

Join us as we explore the best fall activities at Tanners Orchard (Illinois): picking apples with the kids, exploring the pumpkin patch, drinking apple cider, and getting lost in the corn maze! One of the highlights for us was eating Tanners’ famous apple cider donuts! Our kids loved feeding the farm animals and driving the go-carts on the Back 40 acres. We had a great day playing outdoors with the kids. Tanners Orchard has a huge indoor market, or you can order ahead and pick up all your autumn needs.

COVID-19 has changed all of our lives. It doesn’t have to stop us from traveling completely, we just need to be safe with our travels. After moving our family halfway around the world to live and work overseas, we are back in the United States until our Indonesian visas are processed. While here, we plan to explore the beauty and history of our home country. Today, we spent the day at Tanners Orchard in Speer, Illinois. We planned to spend a few hours on this 80 acre farm, and ended up spending seven hours there! There was so much to do and so many delicious things to eat, your whole family will love being at Tanners Orchard.

Huntley is in the southern part of McHenry County and the northern part of Kane County, 48 miles (77 km) northwest of the Chicago Loop. Neighboring communities are Lake in the Hills to the northeast, Algonquin to the east, Gilberts to the southeast, Pingree Grove to the south, and Hampshire to the southwest. Undeveloped rural land is to the northwest.
According to the 2010 census, Huntley has a total area of 14.102 square miles (36.52 km2), of which 14.07 square miles (36.44 km2) (or 99.77%) are land and 0.032 square miles (0.08 km2) (or 0.23%) are water.[10]

Yorkville, Illinois, was founded in 1833 and incorporated in 1836. The town is 40 miles southwest of Chicago. About 21,500 make Yorkville their home here.
In August 2011, the movie Man of Steel was filmed at a house built specifically for the set in Yorkville. It appeared in the movie as the Kent family farm. In the fall of 2014, that house was rebuilt for use on the set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In 2017, the same house was used in Justice League for one small scene, then later demolished.

Hampshire Illinois is a conservative rural farming town next to Genoa, Burlington, Marengo and Huntley Illinois. Hampshire is a quiet little town surrounded by farmland and country roads with many nice Churches in town. Gun shops are in every surrounding town if you like shooting and hunting, coon creek hunt club is nearby. Fishing ponds, lakes, rivers, and horse trails are all around Hampshire. If you like farming and hunting and fishing than Hampshire Illinois is a nice place to call home. ATV and snowmobile trails are everywhere and Marengo Illinois has one of the best gun shops in America.
KUIPERS FAMILY FARM - Sunflower Fields Experience - Check Out This Unique Video!
The following video is our personal experience of visiting the sunflower fields at the Kuipers Family Farm, which is located in the beautiful Village of Maple Park, Illinois. This video will show you what exactly to expect if you decide to visit the sunflower fields at the Kuipers Family Farm. We also provided some 360° drone views of not only the sunflower fields, but also of the entire Kuipers Family Farm. We hope that by doing this it will provide you with a different perspective that no other YouTube videos of the Kuipers Family Farm have ever provided to the viewers.
The Kuipers Family Farm is really a wonderful place to visit and provides a great outdoor activity to experience with family and friends; or even by yourself. The Kuipers Family Farm is approximately a 40 minute drive west of the City of Chicago and is easy to get to by taking Interstate Highway 88. Additionally, the Kuipers Family Farm also has a nice gift shop, a bakery, outdoor eating areas, a bar area, and a grocery store. If you really enjoy the outdoors, eating various fresh foods produced on the Kuipers Family Farm, and being in open spaces without a lot of people; you may really enjoy the experience of the Kuipers Family Farm.
In this video, you will see our experience of exploring the sunflower fields on the Kuipers Family Farm. However, they also have apple picking available. We did not do this activity; but hope to the next time we visit the farm. The Kuipers Family Farm also has weddings, birthday parties, and corporate events. It is a great way to spend the day on the Kuipers Family Farm. We highly recommend that you drive out to the Kuipers Family Farm and experience for yourself and not take our word. It is one of the best unknown places to visit that is really relaxing and still within a reasonably close proximity to the Chicagoland area.
It should be noted that this video is 100% our own personal opinion. We have no current or future business interests or relationships with the owners of the Kuipers Family Farm. Literally, we just heard about the Kuipers Family Farm from a friend and wanted to go check it out on a weekend. The Village of Maple Park is very relaxing and the people and businesses were really friendly and respectful to us and other tourists when we visited the general area on August 30th, 2020.
