Welcome back to Germany everybody! After visiting this beautiful country last year we have been planning our return trip - this time to German Bavaria to chase mountains and lakes
Where we stayed Haus Sonnenschein:
Our journey started in Bratislava, Slovakia where we boarded a bus to Vienna Airport, caught a flight to Stutgart, Germany and drove across the country towards Eibsee Lake - big travel day but so worth it for the views of Zugspitze Mountain.
After checking into our cute Airbnb we found a German pub serving pizza, crashed for the night and woke up to miserable weather. But we still wanted to conquer a German mountain here in the Bavarian Alps...it just happens to be Wank mountain...yep.
What a shocking day here in Germany - but so worth it!

Schnee im Glockenstuhl und auf den Glocken: nachdem tagsüber der Schneefall durch heftigen Wind durch die Schall-Lamellen bis in den Glockenstuhl gepustet worden ist. Beim ersten Anschlag der Klöppel schneit es erneut im Glockenstuhl ...
Die Petersglocke, bis 2018 die größte frei schwingende Kirchenglocke der Welt (24.000 kg, 3,22 m Durchmesser), läutet, ebenso Pretiosa, Speciosa, Kapitelsglocke, Aveglocke und Ursulaglocke. Dreikönigenglocke und Josephsglocke läuten nicht mit.
Beim Vollgeläut - nach Definition hier ein Geläut mit den sonst nur selten läutenden beiden größten Glocken Petersglocke und Pretiosa - entscheiden die Küster häufig spontan, welche kleineren Glocken mitläuten.
10 Minuten läutet die Petersglocke alleine, dann folgen die weiteren Gocken.

Aachen is the westernmost city in Germany, and borders Belgium and the Netherlands to the west, the tri-border area. It is located between Maastricht (NL) and Liège (BE) in the west, and Bonn and Cologne in the east. The Wurm River flows through the city, and together with Mönchengladbach, Aachen is the only larger German city in the drainage basin of the Meuse. Aachen is the seat of the City Region Aachen (German: Städteregion Aachen).
Aachen developed from a Roman settlement and thermae (bath complex), subsequently becoming the preferred medieval Imperial residence of Emperor Charlemagne of the Frankish Empire, and, from 936 to 1531, the place where 31 Holy Roman Emperors were crowned Kings of the Germans.
One of Germany's leading institutes of higher education in technology, the RWTH Aachen University (Rheinisch-Westfälisch Technische Hochschule Aachen), is located in the city. Its university hospital Uniklinik RWTH Aachen is Europe's largest single-building hospital. Aachen's industries include science, engineering and information technology. In 2009, Aachen was ranked eighth among cities in Germany for innovation.
The regional dialect spoken in the city is a Central Franconian, Ripuarian variant with strong Limburgish influences from the dialects in the neighbouring Netherlands. As a Rhenish city, Aachen is one of the main centres of carnival celebrations in Germany, along with Cologne, Mainz and Düsseldorf. The culinary speciality the city is best known for is Aachener Printen, a type of gingerbread.

Follow me cycling through Karlsfeld, a small town north of Munich in between Munich and Dachau. After a ride next to the beautiful river Würm I'll visit Karlsfelder See, a former gravel pit transformed into one of the best recreational areas around Munich.

After Touratech travel event 2018, I did an wheel around the black forest, 900km in few day's
Impressionen vom Rottauensee im Landkreis Rottal-Inn in Niederbayern.
Der Rottauensee ist ein Stausee bei Postmünster im Landkreis Rottal-Inn.
Der Rottauensee dient als Naherholungsgebiet für die Stadt Pfarrkirchen. Rund um den See gibt es zahlreiche Sport- und Freizeitanlagen. insbesondere Golf- und Minigolfanlagen sowie Tennisplätze.
Auf dem See ist Baden, Segeln und Surfen möglich.
Am südlichen Ufer befindet sich ein Bootshafen. Ganz in der Nähe liegt ein Segelflugplatz.
Der Rottauensee ist durch seine günstige Lage im Rottal für Kitsurfer, Windsurfer und Segler attraktiv.
Kostenlose Parkplätze sind an mehreren Stellen rund um den See ausreichend vorhanden.
Für Segler steht am Bootshafen eine Slipanlage zur Verfügung.

???? Renting an Apartment Room in Germany
???? This is a look at the very first place I stayed at while in Germany. It was a little small, but it served as a great place to rest at night while exploring the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It was about 13€ a night and my only real dislike was that I did not have a fan and it had no real ventilation since it was a modified space. if you drive or ride a bike, it was perfect. If like me you are using local transit, it was a nightmare to get to but still worth it.
This place was listed on Booking.com under Johann.

In unserer kleinen Indoor-Hundehalle direkt im Hotel machen wir Agility, Dogdance, alles zum Spass … und manchmal sind echte Profis hier zu Gast, die üben dann ganz „ernsthaft“.
Der Agility Parcour steht direkt neben dem Hotel auf einer extra ausgewiesenen Hundewiese — da können Profis und „Freizeitsportler“ zeigen, was sie drauf haben.300 m vom Seehotel Moldan entfernt ist ein großer Stausee, dort müssen wir in den Schonzeiten an der Leine laufen – dürfen aber auch dort ins Wasser mit unseren Menschen.
Der Hundepool ist ein echter Knaller, solange es warm ist, dürfen wir hier nach Herzenslust schwimmen und spielen – und die Menschen gucken zu – es wurden auch schon mutige Menschen gesichtet, die mit uns im Wasser waren.
Eine Tierärztin ist im Haus, die kann supergut Akupunktur – wenn Du Schmerzen hast oder krank bist, hilft die wirklich. Der Tierlehrer ist ein ganz lieber, der Deinen Menschen zeigt, wie du Dich verständigst, der ist ein Dolmetscher für uns Hunde, und wenn die Menschen kapiert haben, was wir meinen, klappt alles viel besser in der Hund-Mensch-Beziehung.
10.000m² eingezäuntes Grundstück (ca 150cm) – da heißt es Leinen los für alle Vierbeiner! Wellness, Pool und See für Hunde. In den Pool dürfen Hunde UND Menschen.
