10. Cameron Lake & Cathedral Grove
These are located near each other in central Vancouver Island, sitting between Parksville and Port Alberni. Cameron lake is a tranquil spot on the island with many other natural attractions in the area. Witness the old-growth giant trees at Cathedral Grove and more.
9. Goldstream Provincial Park
Located right outside of Victoria, Goldstream Provincial Park is a great spot for hiking, camping and connecting with nature. Explore the beautiful “Niagara” waterfall or do a challenging hike to the neighboring peak of Mount Finlayson.

Welcome to Canada-fornia! British Columbia's Okanagan Valley is one of Canada's premier tourist destinations and retirement regions, drawing both sun-seekers and seniors in equal measure. The weather here is mild in the winter, and scorching hot in the summer, and the temperate climate draws tourists in droves from all over the country.
Penticton is also one of the only interlake cities in the world (the other being Interlaken, Switzerland), nestled right between Skaha Lake and Okanagan Lake, just 45 minutes north of the USA border with Washington State. This is one of the most fertile regions of the country, with endless orchards and vineyards filling people's tables with the local bounty of fruit, vegetables, and some of the top wines in Canada. Often overlooked in favour of its neigbour city (Kelowna), Penticton dances to its own unique beat, offering a compact, small town vibe with which Kelowna can't compete.
During my visit to Penticton this summer, I enjoyed leisurely walks downtown, strolled its beachfront boardwalk, people-watched at the Interlake Channel, sampled the local specialty - Tickleberry's Ice Cream, and visited the Penticton Rose Garden and the historic boats along its waterfront.

The small city of Penticton is located in the interior of British Columbia, in between Okanagan Lake and Skaha Lake. Surrounded on two sides by mountains. The city has abundance of land and water based things to do. This is ideal for a whole family vacationers with many inns and hotels with a reasonable price.
The Skaha Lake Park is the main attraction of the town and you can do a lot of water activities in here.Also there’s The River Channel Floats (you can rent a floater or you can bring your own, just make sure you will have a ride back to where you started) this is a 2 hours and half floating down the River. We did it and we brought some light snacks and drinks and we rented a floater with a capacity of 8-10 persons. It is $25 per person including the bus ride going back to the entrance. We had so much fun while floating. We also did the Sea-doo and we rented as well. We did swimming at the lake as well as the swimming pool in our hotel just in front of the Skaha Lake. At night time, we did a long walk to LocoLanding Adventure Park and to the Casino. During the day before taking on to our un-ending water activities (Kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming), we had a chance to visit the local Farmers Market and the famous bookstore The Book Shop. Our last day were consumed for Cherry Picking at Peachland and a late lunch and early dinner @Greata Ranch (FITZPATRICK FAMILY Vineyards) a famous Wine Brand here in BC. #GreataRanch #Peachland #Penticton #RiverChannFloats #CherryPicking #OkanagaLake #SkahaLake #TheBookShop #FarmersMarket #LocoLandingAdventure
